Product Research

Features

DJI OM 4: Equipped with 3-axis stabilization, the DJI OM 4 turns your compatible Apple iPhone or Android smartphone device into a camera that can deliver a stabilized and super-smooth image. The OM 4 offers a lightweight, ergonomic, and magnetic design that puts seamlessly smooth video creation at your fingertips. The DJI OM 4 offers manual control from its hand-grip and intelligent modes via the DJI Mimo app (available for Apple iOS and Android). It also features a foldable design making it easy to transport and store.

3-Axis Gimbal: With a 3-axis gimbal that effectively reduces shaky footage, the DJI OM 4 delivers a super-smooth, stabilized image. A lightweight, ultra-responsive design reacts to your movements in real time, letting you focus more on the moment at hand. The gimbal converts the OM 4's joystick movements into smooth pan and tilt transitions, while reducing the impact of natural vibrations. Even with an external lens added, DJI OM 4's powerful motor keeps your smartphone steady and your video smooth. The Quick Roll function lets you quickly switch between portrait and landscape mode.

  • Pan: -161.2 to 171.95 degrees
  • Roll: -136.7 to 198 degrees
  • Tilt: -106.54 to 235.5 degrees
  • Speed: 120 degrees/second (max)

Note: Due to wide-angle lenses and phone sizes, some users may see the gimbal in the camera view. You can try to adjust the position of the magnetic phone clamp and move it away from the camera until the gimbal is excluded from the camera view.

Magnetic Quick-Release Design: The DJI OM 4 features a brand-new magnetic quick-release design for a more convenient mounting experience. The OM 4 comes with to magnetic attachments - a magnetic phone clamp and a magnetic ring holder. Either magnetic attachment allows you to mount your compatible smartphone device vertically or horizontally to the DJI OM 4 stabilizer gimbal.

  • Magnetic Phone Clamp: The magnetic phone clamp is adjustable and fastens around your compatible smartphone device. It then magnetically attaches and detaches to the OM4. The magnetic phone clamp is incredibly thin and ultralight, keeping your smartphone secure while in use.
  • Magnetic Ring Holder: The magnetic ring holder features a "self-stick" backing that adheres to the back of your compatible mobile device. It then then magnetically attaches and detaches to the OM4. The magnetic ring holder can also be used as a kickstand for your compatible phone.

Note: The magnetic phone clamp can be installed, removed, and then re-installed. The magnetic ring holder can only be installed once. If removed, the self-stick backing will no longer adhere to your phone.

Smartphone Compatibility: The DJI OM 4 supports smartphones that are 2.625" to 3.3125" wide, 0.25" to 0.375" thick, and weigh up to 8.1 oz. This range covers most Apple iPhone and Android smartphone devices currently available. Please note that actual compatibility might be affected by accessories (such as a case) attached to your phone. Certain form factors, including buttons on the side, should also be considered. Your compatible smartphone can be positioned vertically (portrait) or horizontally (landscape).

Note: You can attach an external lens to your smartphone, but this may affect the balance of the gimbal. Large, heavy lenses are not recommended. Please ensure the total weight of the lens and the phone is less than 10.2 ounces.

Bluetooth LE 5.0: The OM 4 utilizes Bluetooth LE 5.0 to communicate with your smartphone and works best with smartphones that support Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0. The OM 4 connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth LE with a few easy taps in the DJI Mimo app. Once your smartphone is connected to the OM 4, it will automatically connect again the next time you use the same phone.

Note: When connected via Bluetooth, the OM 4's status indicator will turn green, while a yellow light indicates disconnection. You can also check the Bluetooth connection in the DJI Mimo app.

DJI Mimo App: DJI Mimo app (for Apple iOS 11.0+ and Android OS 7.0+) offers intuitive recording and editing tools to enhance the photos and videos from your compatible Apple iPhone and Android smartphone device. The DJI Mimo app unlocks the full potential of the OM 4 by granting you total control of gimbal movements and camera parameters while enjoying an HD live view of the camera. The app also includes overexposure alerts and histograms, helping you ensure picture quality while making incredible moments. With tools like HD live view during recording and intelligent recording/editing modes, the DJI Mimo app is an all-in-one solution that lets you capture, edit, and share the best of your moments right from your compatible mobile device. Advanced functions of the DJI Mimo app include ActiveTrack 3.0, StoryMode, Hyperlapse, Timelapse, Panoramas, and more. When recording, video resolution is set at 720p in the DJI Mimo by default. You can change the video resolution in the app. However, the maximum video resolution depends on your smartphone's camera.

Notes: Click here for Apple iPhone and Android smartphone compatibility list. Support for additional iPhone and Android smartphone devices available as testing and development continues.
