The Helix Blue B12DVC4 12" sub uses a durable polypropylene-injected cone to deliver plenty of impact, and it can handle up to 300 watts RMS. Don't be afraid to turn it up loud either — the sub's large rubber surround helps keep cone movement under control in its rock-solid aluminum basket so this sub really keeps it together when you crank it. It also comes equipped with dual 4-ohm voice coils, so you have extra flexibility when wiring up multiple subs.

Cone Design: The woofer uses an injection-molded polypropylene cone with a raised HELIX logo on the dust cap. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also light weight and rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response. The rubber surround is resistant to UV rays for added durability.
Dual 4-ohm Voice Coils: This woofer features dual 4-ohm voice coils, offering wiring flexibility. When the voice coils are wired in parallel the woofer presents a 2-ohm load. When the voice coils are wired in series the woofer presents an 8-ohm load.
Cast Aluminum Basket: The die-cast aluminum basket resists flexing and resonance (ringing).
Terminals: The woofer features two pair of gold plated spring post terminals. They accept pin connectors or bare wire up to 10-gauge.
Enclosure Compatibility
Sealed Box: For the best sound quality when you're short on space, use a sealed enclosure; the optimum internal volume is 1.0 cubic foot. Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer, will handle a lot of power, and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music.
Ported Box: The recommended ported box has an internal volume of 1.5 cubic feet with a 4" diameter x 15-1/2" long port tube. Ported (or vented) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from less power.
