About the MATCH PP62DSP
Upgrade your vehicle's stock system for high-fidelity sound
Upgrade your vehicle's stock system for high-fidelity sound
The MATCH PP62DSP signal processor will greatly improve the sound quality of your factory audio system without cutting a single wire or changing your vehicle's look. After the PP62DSP works its magic, you'll be able to experience music like you were in a concert hall, instead of a noisy vehicle on the road.
The vehicle-specific Match Plug and Play system
First, you'll need to purchase a vehicle-specific adapter harness that plugs in between your car's stock radio and speakers, then connects to the PP62DSP. The PP62DSP then takes the signal from the factory radio and transforms it into focused, clear, and powerfully moving music that'll veritably dance across your dashboard.
The processor's built-in amplifier puts out 35 watts RMS to each of your car's four speakers — that's about three times more powerful than a typical factory radio. Another 160 watts RMS is available if you want to add an optional Match subwoofer or two, so you'll definitely be able to hear big improvement in your music's bass impact. For you super sub fans who want more bass than that, the PP62DSP also includes RCA outputs for hooking up larger aftermarket amps and subs.
The ultimate tune-up via PC
The main control panel as it appears on your computer (PP52DSP model shown)
If you're a constant tweaker who's crazy about sound quality, then you will have a blast with the PP62DSP. It works with your Windows-operated personal computer to offer a world of sonic adjustments that can maximize the performance of almost any car audio system.
Once you've downloaded the application and software from Audiotec Fischer, you plug your PC or laptop into the processor's USB port. A detailed control panel will appear on your computer screen that lets you set virtually every tunable audio parameter, so you can enjoy the highest musical fidelity possible in your car. The visual display shows the resulting sound curve of each setting, so you'll know for sure how your adjustments are affecting audio output.
EQ, time alignment, and more
The PP62DSP includes a 30-band graphic equalizer on every channel, to compensate for all the dips and bumps in your speakers' responses inside your car, so each speaker will sound its best. The time alignment feature lets you correct for each speaker's placement, centering the stereo image for your sitting position. You can configure almost any type of high-pass and low-pass filter on each channel — so you can adjust the frequency, choose the slope, and change the "filter characteristics" for different speaker applications. Filters and EQ can be set separately for each channel, or linked together for common settings.
Save your settings
Don't worry, you won't have to drive around with your computer plugged in. You simply download your settings to the PP62DSP, after saving them on your laptop. The PP62DSP can store two settings at once, so you can toggle between them to see which sounds better. You can also use an optional microSD memory card to store and transfer settings to your PP62DSP, which comes in handy when you want to switch settings without plugging in your laptop.
You can use the URC-2A remote control (not included) to control several functions of your processor from the front seat, without having to plug in a computer. You can adjust the main and subwoofer volumes, switch between your receiver and auxiliary sources, and even quickly switch back and forth between two previously saved processor setups. You can re-configure some of the URC-2A's functions using the DSP-PC Software.
Power Save Mode
Many newer vehicles feature accessory circuits that remain on for several minutes after the engine shuts off, so an aftermarket amplifier could possibly drain your vehicle's battery. The MATCH PP62DSP solves this problem by turning off the amps connected to its remote output after not sensing music for 60 seconds. It will turn them back on within a second after sensing the signal.

Important Note: This MATCH upgrade system plugs in between your vehicle's factory radio and speakers, so it will not work in a premium sound system equipped with a factory amplifier. You must identify your vehicle to order a Helix Match Plug and Play upgrade system online. Or, if you prefer, call an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to make sure you get the upgrade system that works in your vehicle.

More details on the MATCH PP62DSP
Overview: The Match PP 62DSP is a 4-channel amplifier (6-channels optional) with a total of 8 available DSP channels. Designed for true "Plug & Play" ease of installation, the PP 62DSP includes an 8-channel interface harness that, when used with an optional vehicle-specific "T" harness (sold separately), allows the amp to be directly plugged into the vehicle's wiring while retaining the factory radio, making installation much easier. Specific vehicle configurations can be downloaded from the Audiotec-Fischer website onto a micro-USB card and loaded into the amp via its micro-USB port. Sound configuration can also be done using the DSP PC-Tool software, which offers full input and output routing for all channels, 30 bands of EQ, high and low pass filtering, time alignment, and more. The amp has 4 integrated channels at 35 watts each, an optional set of powered Subwoofer Outputs (harness not included), and a pair of RCA outputs.
Internal DSP: The PP 62DSP can be connected to your PC via USB with the supplied 59" USB cable. The DSP PC-Tool software can be downloaded to your PC from the Audiotec-Fischer website, and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8. The "fixed point" Audio DSP features 56-bit resolution and includes a Real-time Analyzer (RTA), digital time alignment, phase adjustment, high-pass and low-pass filters, 30-band parametric EQ, and output level adjustment.
System Connector: The PP 62DSP is designed to interface a factory system using the supplied System Connector in conjunction with a vehicle-specific "T" harness that ties right into the wiring at the back of the factory radio. The System Connector has a 20-pin plug harness on one end, that snaps into a socket on the amplifier, while the other end has 2 sets of male/female, input/output, ISO connectors that either plug directly into the factory wiring (on select European vehicles) or into one of the optional "T" harnesses.
Match Extension Card slot (MEC): Match has included an Extension Card slot inside the amplifier to accommodate one of their optional Extension Cards (sold separately), which will add a specific feature such as Bluetooth connectivity, High Resolution Audio streaming via USB, etc. Each of the cards comes with a replacement side panel for the amp, which provides the necessary cut-outs for the additional ports. To access the Extension Card slot the end and bottom panels are removed by taking out three Philips-head screws from the end plate and sliding out the bottom panel.
Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection (ADEP): The amplifier utilizes a new ADEP circuit to allow it to be integrated with new OEM car stereos. Newer stereos can detect the presence of connected speakers, and when common amplifiers are connected, the radio will display failure messages with some features, such as fader function, being lost. The ADEP circuit avoids these problems without loading the speaker outputs of the factory stereo during high volumes.
Power Save Mode: The Power Save Mode will automatically turn off the amplifier if no input signal is present for more than 60 seconds. In many newer cars with CAN-bus or other bus systems, the factory radio can remain powered on for up to 45 minutes after the ignition is turned off. When the amp receives this signal, the internal amplifier stages and the remote output are immediately powered on again. The Power Save mode can also be modified or deactivated via the DSP PC-Tool software.
Auto Turn-On: The PP 62DSP comes ready to use a high-level input signal to power on the amp when using the System Connector, but includes an Auto Remote switch inside the amplifier. If turned off, a remote wire must be tied into the vehicle. The amp also includes a Remote Out terminal to activate other outboard equipment.
MicroSD: The provided MicroSD card slot on the PP 62DSP allows you to easily configure the DSP inside the amp without directly connecting a computer. A large number of car-specific setups are available for free from Audiotec-Fischer's web site, giving you a setup tuned specifically for your vehicle. Simply download the appropriate setup and copy it to a MicroSD card. When the car is inserted into the amp, the copy process will start automatically.
