Paired w LS50-Wireless. Great combo. May be a bit overkill & could have bought 10b, but what is $100 in this context? I'm sure 12 is worth extra $100 above 10b - especially since wife didn't ask about smaller models. I've owned lots of audio set ups. Combo of LS50w and Kube12b is most amazing set up I've owned. Staging, clarity, dynamic quality are top notch. The $3k for system is well worth the value given audio quality. Amazing system w plug & play. Optimizing w KEF Control app sounds perfect. I'm against room limitations (very lively). The KEF LS50w-Kube12b is producing sound that requires most of listening environment. Eventually, challenge to sound reproduction is room where sound is created and KEF combo will push your listening to its limits. Even higher volume levels are easy for extended listening sessions. My listening room is 15 x 20 with end wall open to kitchen 20 x 15, all hard surfaces. The KEF combo controls the sound where you can feel physical effect of sound in listening room when you walk into the optimal listening space, and you don't need to have volume at full blast to feel its effect. With lower sound levels the Kube12 is still felt to ensure a subtle physical connection w music. It's fun to cuddle up w KEF combo sound no matter the sound level. The LS50W and the Kube12b work together to produce the best sound given the form/factor/sound quality/price/ combination, given that I've heard. This is well worth a listen.
Pros: Easy plug and play. You don't need to be an audiophile to set up. Even if you are really super stupid, you can set this up and get high quality results.
Cons: Room needs to be tuned. Anything that is not buckled down nice and tight is gonna buzz. It's hard to call this a con - as any good audio will push any room to its limits. This system will push your listening room to its limits, for sure. Correcting room imperfections may require effort, but is well worth it to achieve KEF perfection.
