Purchased a pair of these to upgrade my Paradigm Reference Studio 80's (v1). The Paradigms were wonderful and have served me well for many years. The KEF Q950's are a delight to listen to and are breathing new life into many of my albums and movies. My only knock is that they need a lot of power to push them. They sound fantastic but I notice I need another db or two to get the same volume as I enjoyed with the Paradigms.
Pros: Great sounding, nothing gets muddled. Very articulate.
Cons: Grills extra? Also more power hungry than I expected.

KEF has done great things with the Q series. These towers now complete my KEF 5.2.4 setup. A lot of their high end technology has made it into their entry level speakers. They are a nice upgrade for anyone looking to get into higher end audio without breaking the bank. I've had them for about two weeks, and I'm very impressed with the sound. I'm really enjoying them. They sound magnificent in 2 channel stereo, and they also do well in my home theater set up. The sound is never harsh but sounds very natural and musical to me. I'm using a Marantz AV receiver with 110 W per channel. It seems to drive the 950s with no problem. It doesn't take much volume before the speakers, especially the bass, comes alive. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and with Crutchfields speedy delivery.
Pros: Modern looks and great bass. Never harsh sounding
Cons: A little expensive but worth it.

Great speakers. Everything you'd expect from KEF. Still breaking in, but sound better everyday. Thanks Crutchfeild!
Pros: Balanced sound from any listening position. Crisp highs, tight bass.
