Features
Overview: This PowerDrive 300A Circuit Breaker (PDISB300) is recommended for use with PowerDrive's high wattage power inverters, including the PD3000. It should be installed on the positive power cable near its connection to the battery. It is compatible with 2-gauge to 1/0-gauge wire. The circuit breaker accepts wires with a maximum diameter of 0.334" (8.49mm). The set screws that tighten around the bare wire of the power cable require a 3mm Allen wrench. Two mounting screws (length 5/8") are included for mounting the circuit breaker.
Design and Function: The 300A Circuit Breaker features a unique red lever that flips open whenever there is a short circuit between the battery and the circuit breaker, or the current exceeds 300 DC Amps. It cuts off the power supply to the connected power inverter to protect it from excessive current. After you have determined the cause, and corrected the condition, you can safely reset the circuit breaker by pressing the lever back into place. In addition, you can manually open the circuit by pressing the red button next to the lever, releasing the lever and turning off the power.
