Tara W. checked out the JBL OnBeat™ Air at CES 2012. It's an powered speaker system that plays your tunes wirelessly using AirPlay®.
Tara: We're here at CES 2012 and right now we're looking at JBL's OnBeat Air. So Chris, what can you tell us about this?
Chris: Well this is the JBL OnBeat Air. It's the little bit smaller version of our iPad docking family. The OnBeat Air allows you to dock your iPad in vertical mode. It allows you to enjoy your music, your movies, gaming, everything from your iPad and listen to it in great sound through the OnBeat Air.
The other great thing about the OnBeat Air is that it works with AirPlay,. It's our AirPlay certified iPad dock. What we're looking at here is our EasyConnect in the JBL app. This EasyConnect helps you connect your iPad to AirPlay and your OnBeat Air. So it's very, very simple to do and actually has step by step instructions on how to get your iPad on your Wi-Fi network so you can enjoy great sound via AirPlay.
The great thing on the OnBeat Air is there's a video connection on the back so if you are watching a movie docked with the iPad on the OnBeat Air you can actually feed the video out to a larger television and enjoy your movie with a much bigger screen with still great JBL sound quality from the JBL OnBeat Air. So very versatile it's got AirPlay which is a great technology allow you to Wi-Fi through your house, and it's JBL.
