Features

Compatibility: The Scosche GM23SRstereo replacement interface allows you to replace your factory OEM stereo in select 2006-2011 GM vehicles (GM LAN29-bit), while retaining all necessary safety and warning features as well as retaining your original steering wheel controls (if factory equipped). Please consult Crutchfield's Outfit My Car to see if your vehicle is compatible.

Note: Not compatible with OnStar or "Premium" Bose (y91/y92/z75) audio systems. Please check the service parts code sticker usually located in the glove box for "y91", "y92", "z75" equipment codes.

Safety & Warning Chimes: When replacing the factory radio in your GM vehicle, the GM23SRinterface will replace portions of your vehicle's audible Safety and Warning Chime systems. Without the S3-1, your vehicle will lose these functions when the factory radio is replaced.

ECM Compatible: In addition, the Scosche GM23SRwill send the proper data commands to your vehicle's ECM (Electronic Control Module) to indicate a "healthy" status for diagnostic purposes when your factory radio is replaced with an aftermarket head unit. Otherwise, your GM vehicle's ECM (Electronic Control Module) will store an error code if operated without the factory radio installed and you may experience difficulty in having the vehicle service at the dealership.

Steering Wheel Controls: The Scosche GM23SRstereo replacement interface includes a separate steering wheel control module, which allows you to keep your GM vehicle's factory steering wheel controls when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket head unit from Alpine, Clarion, JVC Kenwood, Pioneer, or Sony that is OEM steering wheel control compatible. No additional interface or programming is necessary.

High-Level/Low-Level Connections: The included wiring harness (S3GMLAN) provides high-level and low-level connections for your aftermarket head unit. The harness comes equipped with four low-level (RCA) inputs for GM Bose systems. The four low-level (RCA) inputs can be cut off for high-level (speaker) connection for Non-Bose systems.
