Big news for fans of the Sonos wireless multi-room music system. A free software update adds support for Apple AirPlay®. Connect an Apple AirPort Express® to any Sonos ZonePlayer via line input and wirelessly stream music playing on your iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch® to any or every room in which you have installed a Sonos ZonePlayer. For more information about how to use Apple AirPlay on Sonos, visit www.sonos.com/AirPlay.
With Sonos system software version 3.4, the company's remote control apps for iOS devices add multitasking, which means users can use other apps without closing the Sonos app.
Sonos has also released a remote control app for Android™ phones. The voice search feature lets you find an artist, album or track by speaking into your phone. How cool is that? Download the app for free from Android Market™. It works with phones running Android 2.1 or later and a minimum screen size of 320 × 480.
