How to install a stereo and speakers in a Honda Civic

DIY car stereo installation video

In this video, Jensen, a member of the Crutchfield Tech Support team shows you how to install a new car stereo and new speakers in a  Honda Civic. This car is a 2008 Civic, but the procedures are the same for most 2006-2011 models.

Give it a watch and you'll see that you really can do this job yourself. And for Crutchfield customers, if you run into a snag, our award-winning tech support help is just a phone call away — we've been helping our customers install their own car stereos for more than 40 years.

Very informative video. Not only did it give a great step by step on the radio (and transferring factory controls to the dash kit) but since you had to access the shifter console to run a wire it also showed me how to access that area for another project I have. I appreciate the knowledge you guys share.

Great video. Only question unanswered is does the auxiliary port still work like normal after putting in a new radio ?

Jim, it's certainly possible in many cars. However, that's not the case with the '08 Civic in this video. Typically, the AUX port gained with a new radio makes up for the lost factory input.
