Video: Add Garmin Navigation to Kenwood DVD Receivers

Zak Billmeier grew up in southern Vermont and coastal Maine. After graduating from Mary Washington College with a Geography degree he still isn't sure quite what to do with, he eventually settled in the mountains of Central Virginia.     Hi i have just installed the kenwood DDX1460BT headunit. Is there anyway a can use it for navigation. In Australia Thanks

    Leo, I can't speak to that model specifically since I can't find any info on that model number. However, if it's not already a navigation receiver, there's no way to add navigation. You'll need a separate nav device, and be sure that it is loaded with Australian maps.

    Would I be able to add this feature to Kenwood ddx374bt?

    Zach, no, that feature has been phased out of select Kenwood receivers. However, choosing a receiver with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay would give you access to certain navigation apps on your compatible smartphone.
