Video: Denon Urban Raver Headphones

Most of the people appearing in our videos are employees at Crutchfield. We pull in folks from around the company to share their expertise. A lot of our on-camera stars come from our Advisor Group — they help people choose the right gear via phone, email and chat every day, so they're good at explaining the products and technologies.

If you love big bass, give Denon's Urban Raver headphones a try. When you want to boost the low end, you can activate the built-in amplifier, then turn off the amp for your mellower moments. Denon's pentagonal earcup mimcs the natural shape of the human ear, making the Urban Ravers comfortable for long listening sessions.

Hi. My name is Danielle Kohler, and today I'm here to talk to you about the Urban Raver over-ear headphones. These headphones feature a 50mm driver. This allows you to get really powerful sound. You have the ability to turn the amp on or the amp off. With the amp on, you'll get an even more powerful experience.

And you'll notice that switch also makes the control wheel illuminate. The other neat thing about this control wheel is that you can take phone calls from the control wheel. You can turn the volume of your music up. You can turn the volume of your music down, pause or play.

You'll also notice that the ear cup is pentagonally shaped, so instead of being round like many of the other headphones you'll realize — you'll notice that your ear isn't actually round, so this gives you a better fit.

The unit also comes with a charging cable. So the charging cable charges the amp, but again, you can listen with the amp off. So if your battery dies you still have the ability to listen to music. Additionally there is a ¼" adapter, so you can plug this into your Denon receiver if you'd like to listen that way.

These Denon headphones are meant to allow you to have big bass sound so when you're listening to Trance, Techno, drum and bass, you're gonna really appreciate the sound from these headphones. If you have any questions about the Denon headphones please contact your Crutchfield representative.
