The F8500 series plasma TVs from Samsung are the finest they've ever made. In fact, at the recent Consumer Electronics Show, while OLED and 4K TVs were grabbing the headlines, the F8500 series was definitely the most talked about "real world" TV. We love plasma TVs anyway for their deep black levels, fluid motion and wide viewing angles, and this series has the best plasma picture we've ever seen.

We're here at CES 2013 at the Samsung booth, talking about new Samsung TVs.
Absolutely, we're currently in our plasma lineup. This is our F8500 series plasma. We're super excited about this TV. This year, we really wanted to build what we call a reference panel, basically the best picture quality available in the market in the plasma category. This particular TV has a super-contrast panel. The technology behind that is to provide better brightness in the plasma category. One of the things that we find is that shoppers love the brightness of an LED but absolutely fall in love with the color of a plasma so we're proud to announce that we now have both in the same TV. Plasma can now be as bright as any LED TV on the market, but also have 8 times better black levels than what an LED TV can provide.
Also what you'll notice about this TV is that it has a very unique design. It's called the one-body metal design. We take one sheet of metal and create the entire cabinet including the stand. The stand has a very artistic look. It's going to be great for anyone's home. This TV is packed with smart TV features, 3D, motion control, voice control, and a built-in camera.
