Eric Palonen from Sennheiser was at Crutchfield for a training session. He showed us the Sennheiser HD 800 headphones — stereo headphones designed for audiophiles.
Eric: Hi. Eric with Sennheiser. I'm here at Crutchfield to educate some of the industry's best and brightest on the brand new HD 800.
The Sennheiser HD 800 is a dynamic headphone featuring the largest transducer, 56mm, available in a headphone. This large transducer also has a ring cutout in the middle. It's called the ring radiator. This allows for the best, cleanest most accurate bass response as well as mids and trebles throughout the entire frequency spectrum. It can handle whatever you throw at it.
This is the ideal headphone for long listening sessions. It was designed from the finest components and hand assembled in Germany. This headphone sounds incredible when mated with other high quality components like audiophile receivers, headphones amplifiers, and high resolution audio players.
