Video: Sennheiser MM 450 noise-canceling wireless headset

Most of the people appearing in our videos are employees at Crutchfield. We pull in folks from around the company to share their expertise. A lot of our on-camera stars come from our Advisor Group — they help people choose the right gear via phone, email and chat every day, so they're good at explaining the products and technologies.

Kramer, a Crutchfield advisor, tried out the Sennheiser MM 450 Noise-canceling Bluetooth® wireless headset with his iPhone®. He enjoyed taking calls, playing PANDORA® Internet Radio, and listening to Bluegrass on his vacation.

Kramer: I've recently had the opportunity to take the new Sennheiser MM 450 Bluetooth headphones for a spin. Right out of the box, I found that Sennheiser includes everything you need for a good travel experience. All of the overseas adapters are included, as is the USB cable to attach it to your computer for charging, and a great little case for stowing it away when you're not using it.

When I first turned them on, I realized how easy it is to pair these headphones with your phone. My iPhone took less than five seconds to recognize them, and each time I turned the headphones back on it syncs automatically. There's nothing else you have to do. You can also play and pause applications through your phone and adjust volume as well. So it's great if you're on a walk or on a plane, you can just simply tap a button to change tracks — very convenient. You can make and receive phone calls right through the built-in microphone, so if you're listening to music and somebody calls you you can simply press a button to listen without ever taking your phone out of your pocket or taking the headphones off.

During my trial with these, I got to listen to a pretty wide variety of music-mostly bluegrass and a lot of hip-hop — and I'll have to say these headphones did an excellent job with the full sound spectrum. Detailed bass response, very crisp mid and highs — what you would expect from a Sennheiser pair of headphones but with the wireless convenience of Bluetooth and with the added benefit of noise cancellation. So if you're on a plane or if you're in a crowded space or work environment, you can turn and you're not gonna hear a thing except for your music.

The other great thing that I noticed about these after wearing them is how comfortable they are. I have a rather large head, so being able to expand the headphones out and pull the cups individually really made for a nice, comfortable experience.
