Michael Lee from iHome came to Crutchfield for a training, and showed us the portable iHome iW1 AirPlay® wireless speaker.
Michael: I'm Michael at iHome here today at Crutchfield headquarters talking with their audio/visual experts about iHome's new iW1 featuring AirPlay.
AirPlay is Apple's newly released wireless streaming technology that allows you to enjoy your tunes wirelessly over your Wi-Fi network streaming from your computer, your iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad.
Setting up your iW1 is very simple. Two ways to do it: one is through your home computer and your Wi-Fi network, the second is through the iHome connect app via the USB synch cable. Launch the app, choose your network, and you're off and running ready to start streaming your music wirelessly all over your house through your Wi-Fi network.
The iW1 is truly your wireless solution in that it's got a fully rechargeable lithium ion battery that gives you hours of play time to enjoy your music wherever you want to take the iW1.
With this capacitive touch top, controlling the unit is super simple. Also included is a remote where you can adjust the bass, treble, and EQ. With twenty watts of power and Bongiovi DPS with four active speaker drivers your music's gonna sound great. With the iW1, you can position them all around the house to stream up to three from one computer or from your IOS device such as your iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch-one button push and you're up and ready to stream your tunes.
