Learn about what makes Bose's QuietComfort® 15 Noise Cancelling® Headphones different from the crowd, from their sophisticated technology to their travel-friendly design.
Ken: Hi. I'm Ken, here in the Crutchfield studios with the Bose® QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® Headphones. Now these are great for just about anywhere — excellent for travel and also good for everyday listening whether you're at work or just kicking back at home.
Bose has refined their noise reduction technology. The QuietComfort 15 headphones have two microphones in each ear cup. One's on the outside and the other one is on the inside. Now, here's how it works. Say you're listening to your MP3 player in an airplane. Inside the ear cup you're actually getting sound from two sources: your music and cabin noise. The outer microphone picks up the cabin noise and the interior microphone serves as a second line of defense detecting whatever noise slips into the ear cups. Sophisticated circuitry creates an out of phase signal that cancels out the unwanted noise so that you just hear your music.
The soft padding on the ear cups makes it very comfortable — great for long listening sessions. The cushions conform to the shape of your head, making a tight acoustical seal that further blocks outside noise. And here's another nice touch: if you don't want to listen to anything, just remove the plug.
The QuietComfort 15 headphones fold flat for easy storage and slip right into this sturdy case — very handy for travel. So whether you're traveling, working, or just want a little peace and quiet, check out the Bose QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones.
