Polk's Instant Home Theater uses a stereo sound bar and a wireless subwoofer to produce full, engaging audio. Our experts share their impressions in this short video.
Tara: Hi. I'm Tara.
J.R.: And I'm J.R. And we're here today in the Crutchfield video studio with the Polk Surroundbar Instant Home Theater.
Tara: And this is a really simple way to upgrade the sound from your TV, and it's a good choice for a room where a full surround sound system might not be an option.
J.R.: Yeah, and we were lucky enough to hear the Instant Home Theater in our training room. And I'll tell you, we just loved the wide detailed stereo sound field we heard just from a sound bar and a wireless subwoofer.
Tara: And that wireless sub is pretty cool. It's really easy to place because you don't have to run cables around your room to it.
J.R.: Yeah, and you know I have a home theater downstairs in my basement. It's great, speakers all over the place. It sounds fantastic, but it just doesn't make sense in my bedroom. I'd want a simpler option, something like this.
Tara: And this is really easy to set up too — you just plug in the power and the audio cables.
J.R.: Yeah, and for the wireless sub, you just find the spot you want it in your room, you take the power cord, and you plug it into the wall.
Tara: And control is also pretty simple. It actually learns the volume and mute commands from your existing remote.
J.R.: Yeah, and you'll want to remember to go into the TV menu and turn off those internal TV speakers.
Tara: Definitely, because this is going to sound way better.
