I use these in a 4.1 ((2) Bose 161 systems, no center spkr) surround-sound set-up powered by a 165w×5 Denon AVR-1513 a/v amp. I've taken the time to read the cons in most reviews and they all refer to the inadequate bass response. True. As stand-alone bookshelf or main spkrs, they will leave you low-end starved. HOWEVER, when paired with an AVERAGE powered-sub (mine being a Jensen Champion Sub10) and frequency-adjusted so that the sub picks up where they leave off (150Hz I recommend), these little bad-boys ROCK! Also, the stereo-everywhere technology of these speakers deceivingly fabricate a 7.1 surround-sound set-up with the sound and clarity you'd expect from Bose. Movies or music, both sound great when used as intended... in conjuction with a sub and properly positioned in your listening area!
Pros: Read Entire Review!
Cons: Read Entire Review!
I'm using the system for a 5-room store set up in an old house. I placed one speaker in each space, and the stereo sound heard as one moves from one space to the next is very clean. The speakers fit perfectly in upper corners; I hung them vertically, but there's also an option for a horizontal hang. The ceilings are 9 feet, and the acoustics are very good. I might add a sub woofer because I'd like to hear a little more base.
Great clarity, handles large amplifier, excellent size and mounting options for compact spaces. Surprisingly loud and distortion free, used for music and movies these make perfect compliments to our front towers as rear channel in a 5.1 configuration. Powered by our Denon avr (120 high power watts) and rounded out with a 100 watt, 12" sub. These Bose 161's are just what I needed!
Pros: Best bang for the buck, compact design, universal mounting, great sound with no audible distortion and superb high tone clarity.
Cons: Lacks any low end frequencies and must be accompanied by a sub.
Excellent sound I use it near the jacuzzi in my terrace
Sound is solid, and mounting was as easy as it gets. Excellent product for the price.
good sound have 7.1 - subwoofer recommended
Cons: Wall bracket cheap
These are excellent surround speakers.
I like Bose because when I use all Bose they have a matched sound. I bought two of these for my surround speakers years ago. I bought two more for the rear presence speakers. My Bose 901 speakers are 30 years old. I will buy two more of these for the front presence speakers. Bose is a good solid speaker company. I took away one star because I thought the connectors could be better.
Pros: Longevity, color, quality, price
Cons: If you press too hard on the connector the tab and the spring come out. I put it back in.
Great sound and great price. Perfect combination.
These are the best sounding speakers I have heard.
Pros: Small enough to mount anywhere.
I got these speakers to use specifically as rear surround speakers. Very easy installation in my house and Wow, what a difference. You cannot go wrong for the price. I would not use them as main speakers, even in a small environment, as they do lack a strong bass sound but I don't think that is what they were designed for anyway. I will probably be ordering another set for my front surrounds.
Pros: Great price Nicely balanced sound Good size
Cons: None if you use as intended
I'm using these speakers in a small room for surround sound. The sound is very distorted and doesn't go well with my larger bose speakers. Im going to return them
Pros: Stylish compact easy to mount
Cons: Poor soundCrutchfield response on 10/5/2016 Once we saw this review, our Tech Support team reached out to help Joe. We'll either help him get these speakers sounding the way they should, or help him return them for an exchange or refund.
These Bose 161 are great for surround speakers at a very resonable price! The included brackets are a great option when it comes to installing them at ear levels or higher!
Pros: Price Sound Install options and flexability
These are not just great speakers for their size, they are great speakers with the added bonus of being small. I wanted great sound, and my wife wanted low profile speakers. These are perfect for both of us.
Pros: Small size, Great sound
We added these speakers to complete a surround sound system with Bose 301 main speakers. They sound great together in surround mode or 6 speaker stereo. .They were easy to mount with the provided mounting brackets.
Pros: Great sound. Easy to mount.
If you are expecting great things from this product based purely on the BOSE name, guess again. I spent a lot of time reading all the reviews of this product on many seller's websites and it was told how the rich deep sounds could be heard clearly, the highs and mid ranges as well. Truthfully, the speakers sound no better than the old wooden boxes I replaced. Yes, it could be my receiver but it is a pretty decent one. I will be exchanging my receiver with a friend and report back if there is improvement
Pros: Ease of installation
Cons: Not the BOSE sound I expected.
Purchased these speakers to use as rear surround speaker. The speakers are ok but not as you would expect coming from Bose. They sound decent but didn't impress me and would not purchase them again.
Pros: Have nice wall mount with speakers, easy to mount and look good.
Cons: Sound quality not what expected from Bose, could have been better. Pricy for quality of sound.
Great sound for the money. Missing some bass but wasn't expecting to have it for this size and price. The included wall brackets are excellent
Pros: Sound, brackets, value
Bose 161 using them in my Mancave it has fantastic sound.
Pros: Bose 161
Cons: Haven't found any yet probably won't.
The sounds that these emit are very clear. Having a set of Bose Companion 2's I had expectations. These lack bass response. I was unimpressed and sent them back. If used with a sub, I'm sure they would be fine. As stand-alone speakers, you'll be dissatisfied.
The speakers sound great. As others have said, they don't produce much bass, but I have a sub and use these as surround sound speakers. I would highly recommend them.
These are a nice looking pair of speakers and did the job for me as I wanted to connect my garage to the house system. Look good and perform well.
Pros: Easy to install and hook up
Cons: A little light on the bass but I can live with that.
Very good sound from small speakers.
Pros: Greatly improved my surround sound.
Decent speakers. Running four of them in our basement skatepark. Good volume, but bass is disappointing. Will likely replace in the future with something fatter. But ok for now.
Cons: Lacking bass
Nice speakers sounds great, but they are bose
Pros: Great sound for the high note
Cons: Not super bassey
Tinny. Had I been able to hear these beforehand I would never have purchased them. Designed for the eyes not the ears. If that's what you are looking for, you might be satisfied. Some listeners say they sound OK, but I think they are being polite. I will replace them with something better someday. I am not inclined to look to this manufacturer in the future. Installed in a kitchen/dining room, zone 3 driven from Onkyo 929 receiver.
Sounds great, using them now as front speakers for my surround system. Room is about 16 by 24. Recently got a turntable for my lps, you would'nt believe the sound. May upgrade later and use these as my rear speakers. On floor now, will sound better when stands arrive.
Pros: Good price for Bose, small space savers.
Cons: Not quite big enough for my great room.
Easy to install - great sound - better than the ceiling bose speakers we installed last year - subwoofer recommended
Incredible sound.. very clear and distinctive. I am buying more to add to my system.
Pros: Easy to hang and mount
Cons: Would like something different instead of the straight push wire in connection.
Speakers are fine for small area main speakers but are somewhat lacking in bass.
Pros: Quality feel and look
Cons: Wall bracket saw tooth adjustment mechanisms do not hold speakers firmly to the wall plate.
I bought these for my Dad on Father's Day to use as surround speakers with his Bose 301s, because they are voice-matched to them. They sound great with the 301s and I highly recommend them. Excellent clarity. As far as using them as front speakers, I feel like they might lack the bass necessary to use them alone, but if you added a sub, they would be fine, as long as the room wasn't too big. Also the mounting brackets that came with them are terrific. That was definitely a selling point for me. It makes it really convenient to not have to buy separate mounting stuff. Don't believe the people who say Bose sucks. I agree that they can be quite overpriced, but they are by no means bad speakers if you have the money, especially in home theater applications.
Pros: Sound Quality, Size, Mounting Brackets
Cons: Could use slightly more bass, but keep in mind how small they are.
These speakers are being utilized in a surround, front high environment and are delivering crisp, clear sound. Installation with the supplied wall brackets was quick and easy. I would recommend the 161's for most any surround environment either front or back.
Pros: Easy to install and sound is great!
Cons: Be careful with the white speakers as they may become soiled during installation.
The speaker are the best
Typical Bose quality and sound. These speakers are in my enclosed sun room and provide perfect level of sound for that space.
Pros: Small & easy to mount
Cons: Low bass level
I stumbled upon these while looking at a review of The Bose 201 speakers. I'm using these as rear channel speakers along with the Bose Acoustimass 5 series for the front. Absolutely perfect fit for my music room. The shape lets you hear every note. Love the white!
Pros: Great sound separation via the shape. White option looks rich.
Above average price for what you get.
Pros: Small and Light weight.
Compact, well made, beautiful sound
Pros: Price, size, sound
I come to Crutchfield over and over because of their standard of quality and to compare potential products for pricing and features and specs. I love the process in place for shipping and delivery, I think they were delivered 3 days after I ordered them! Very nice small set of Bose, nice sound and good looks
Pros: Work well in the kitchen and blend very well without being obtrusive- you hear the music
Cons: Not really a complaint but they don't carry a lot of base information, they work well to ass a soundtrack to a room
Love these speakers they sound great, nice and loud also.
Great speakers and a nice addition to our surround sound system. I use them for rear speakers in a small theater room. The mounting brackets are very adaptable. Very nice sound for rear channel.
Pros: Bose quality, sound reproduction, look great on my wall, good price for the quality
Cons: a little wide so had to mount them vertical
excellent service from Crutchfield and great speakers
The service was fine -the speakers arrived on time and in good shape (packaging was very good).
great speakers clear and responsive complimented my Polk Tsi300 and cs20 very well
Pros: sound great. look great
Bought these as replacement "rear" speakers for an Onkyo surround sound system.
Pros: Excellent sound quality.
I bought these to use them with my HDTV in my bedroom. They look nice and have a curvy look to them, and they even include the wall mount brackets (I don't have them wall mounted, but plan to do so soon). The voice clarity, treble response, and midrange response is pretty good, however, don't expect a lot of bass response, as these are meant for surround or rear channel use. They are also a bit overpriced. I'd recommend them, though.
Pros: Good for using with an HDTV, good for rear channel or surround use, pair with VCS10 for an even better experience, good voice response, good midrange and treble response
Cons: Lacking in bass, overpriced
These are now being used as back channel surround speakers in a 7.2 system. All of the other speakers are Polk Audio, and the 161's blend in very well. There's no way that speakers of this size can deliver any credible bass, but clear high and mid-range make them good for surround use. I bought these because of their compact size and flexible mounting options, and was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality. The spring clip speaker connections are not the best, though, and it will be a struggle to connect any wire larger than 18AWG.
Pros: Wide dispersion, good clarity
Cons: Spring clip wire connectors
I was originally hoping to get in-wall speakers, but the old walls in my house would not cooperate and I purchased these as a replacement. I have them paired with a JBL PB10, a Jensen Center channel and a TEAC receiver, and the whole system sounds great! I have been giving it a bit of a run with the British Olympic Soundtrack and it is covering the range beautifully and with excellent clarity. I have also given it a run with the latest Star Trek, and was very impressed with the dialog clarity.
Pros: Great looking (mine are mounted vertical), pretty easy to mount with the provided plate, the mounting plate has a pass through for the cable that helps things stay tidy. The teeth on the mounting bracket help keep the speaker at the chosen angle.
Cons: The screw to tighten the speakers to the bracket can be a little tricky to get in because each one seems to have a bit of paint on it. Would be cool if you could add the Bose logo later, but none of these are problems of any significance.
These speakers are being used as the main speakers with a stereo system in the family room. Because this isn't my main system, I'm not so concerned with the amount of bass produced. If these were paired with a subwoofer, I think the average listener would conclude that they sounded pretty good. Based on past experience with Bose speakers, I'm confident these will live up to expectations.
Pros: Small size, reasonable price.
Cons: Could use more bass.
Great sound quality in a compact speaker. Excellent range.
These are sleek, amazing quality sound speakers that I should have bought years ago. I have always owned Bose speakers in the past and have always been amazed by the clarity and quality of the product. They were simple and easy to install which made it even a better buy.
I hooked these speakers up to my home amplifier to get better sound from my new TV. These Bose speakers have very true sound quality. They really live up to the Bose name. I would recommend them speakers to anyone that wants to have the best sound you can get out of a small set of speakers.
Pros: Very good sound quality and very nice style.
Cons: It would be nice if Bose had put a banana jack in the back for hooking up the wiring.
Excellent quality, mounts easily, accompanied the Bose double cube speakers very well for a total surround sound
Pros: Mounts work well, sound quality, price, size. Crutchfield service was very good and shipped quickly
Can't beat them for the price. Easy install, good looking, perfect size, great sound
Pros: Size, looks, sound, easy install, value for the money
Outstanding sound quality. I am currently using the Bose 161 speakers as rear surround in my 7.2 setup. The difference upon installing these is impressive. Compact, sturdy wall mounts and every bit of the sound quality you would expect from a Bose speaker.
Pros: Style, sound, size and easy to install.
For the money, these are great surround speakers, do not expect much bass. For ambient sound, they are great, very clear, no distortion or static. Had to call Crutchfield when I was hooking them up, because I had them on the wrong terminals at first. Great service from Crutchfield, as usual. I have been a customer for years. I love Crutchfield!
Pros: Great price, like the fact you can get them in white or black. (I chose white)
Cons: Cannot think of any.
very good sound i`m very happy with the speakers
Pros: small and good looking
I bought four of the Bose 161s as rear speakers in a 7.2 surround system that consists of JBL front and center channel speakers plus Polk Audio subs...all powered by a Denon AVR-2312CI receiver. They've been installed for approximately one month in a medium-sized home theater room. So far, I am extremely pleased with the results. For moderately priced home theater systems, such as mine, they offer several positive attributes...beyond the obvious dollar value. Of course, Bose quality is first and the included mounting brackets worked extremely well for me. Even something as seemingly insignificant as having a color choice for the speakers was nice. Finally, the sound quality is excellent for the money spent. So far, this is proving to be a good choice for my application.
Pros: Bose quality; value priced; perfect size for my application; included speaker mounts; color choice.
I'm a happy man
Beautiful product with excellent sound. Perfect for surround system upper mid range.
Pros: White color, sound quality
These speakers are without a doubt the best surround speakers that I have ever heard.Plenty of bass and the sound is crisp and clear.I now have a Bose system all around. I have the 301 speakers for front and the V-10 center channel. I would advise anyone one to buy them. You won't be sorry.
What's not to like? Ordered these speakers one day and received them the next day...Thanks, Crutchfield! Mounting was easy, they look great and sound super. I did a fair amount of research in my quest for rear speakers for an existing stereo system. Bose produces an excellent product by all measurements and Cruchfield delivers!
Pros: I have these speakers mounted as rear speakers to compliment my older Bose 4.2 speakers. They are absolutely perfect! Mounting was a cinch and the sound is great.
These sound great and I'm using them as "Rear Back" speakers in between my double cube Bose surrounds. They sound super and fill my 7.1 system up perfectly! Highly recommend them as surround or rear backs!
Attractive speakers, good for WAF. They sound great; I'm using them for surround speakers.
Great Suppliment to BOSE 201 Speakers!
I got a pair of these for Christmas a couple of years ago. I hooked them up to my stereo receiver and they produce that sound that Bose is known for, crisp, clear highs, and nice mid-range. The bass response is good, but I didn't expect booming bass because they are smaller speakers. I will eventually buy the center-channel speaker that goes along with these. I recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of stereo or surround speakers.
Great speakers for a great price. I'm using them as my rear sorround speakers. You can't go wrong with Bose.
These speakers do a nice job of filling a large room with music. It is amazing how such small speakers can create such a big sound.
I use the Bose 161 as REAR Surround sound speakers and they are absolutely amazing. I have a Yamaha Neo HD YMC-700 receiver with all the bells and whistles. The 161are lacking in the bass department, but if you use a sub woofer as a primary source for low frequencies, These little powerhouses will seamlessly give balance with its crisp highs and warm mids, which gives you that "IMAX" theater effect, in my opinion. The 161 are mainly being used as L/R Rear Surrounds in a 6.1 set-up. I mainly use DTS-Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD signals via HDMI 1.4 for Blu-Rays, and the clarity is remarkable, even using large floor standing speakers (Athena AS-F2) and a powerful subwoofer ( Athena AS-P4000) Purchase these with confidence. You will be happy!
I wanted a good sounding wall mountable speaker that wasn't going to cost me a fortune. I have a business with a customer area that's about 1800 sf that I needed to fill with sound. It has an open ceiling that is 16 feet high, so I'm talking a lot of air volume. I ordered 3 pair of these to do the job. I definitely made a good choice. They have a great sound and look. I'm getting ready to order 2 more pair for my kitchen area and these will definitely be the ones I get. A note to a serious music critic, these speakers are meant for background music, not deep base, thumping sound.
Very pleased w/ these speakers, they have it all IMO...affordable, good sound, look nice, and very easy to install.
Excellent speakers. Using as the surround speakers in a home theater setup, with Bose 701's and Bose Center speaker. Very satisfied.
Bought two pair of Bose 161 surround sound speakers. They are paired with Bose 301 main speakers, a Polk Audio center channel speaker, and a Polk Audio subwoofer. My music ( and videos ) have never sounded better. Am extremely pleased with my purchase.
The speakers sound great as my rear surround speakers, great ballance and they disappear into the walls and ceiling
I needed a good pair of surround side speakers for my 7.1 setup at my Digital Audio Workstation. These speakers are great. They have much more bass than my original 101's, and sound very clean and natural. Setup in seconds. For surround speakers, these are some of the best of the small size speakers I have heard.
I bought 3 pair of these speakers for my dental office. I needed a speaker with contemporary styling that sounds great in a business setting. These speakers fit this need perfectly. The installation was easy and quick. I would highly recommend these speakers.
Great looking speaker, with great sound for a surround speaker. Not sure if it would be the best for a full range speaker, but sounds excellent with great dynamic range for surround sound. Nice rich sound. The mounting "system" that they give you isn't worth a lick, but I did end up using it as most other mounting systems have the large speakers sticking too far out of the wall.
Just moved into a DT loft, had old set of Bose speakers but needed something more updated and designer fresh. What can I say, I am a gal! I am a Bose product fan and Crutchfield helped me to obtain what I desired in the best means, economically affordable. I am very pleased and will continue to hunt the halls of Crutchfield to further expand and improve my Bose system. They rock!
I had an old pair of Bose 201's which still worked great I but needed to consolidate after moving in with my then fiance. No, she did not tell me to get rid of them. So, after reviewing the products on Crutchfield last Holiday, I bought the Bose 161's and an Infinity PS28 subwoofer. We have been extremely satisfied ever since with their performance and value. I installed the 161's in the ceiling corners with the PS28 just past mid-room near the TV. The components are powered by my trusty old Yamaha receiver. Together, they fill our (we got married) 18'x14' living room with great sound.
I got these to replace my TV speakers and like others have mentioned, these have a noce wide dispersion but are not good as primary speakers due to their inability to handle bass. They also require a more powerful amplifier to drive and TVs are not good! The wide dispersion make them perfect as surround speakers. In fact, that is how I am using them and are remarkably good at their price.
I LIKE THESE SPEAKERS VERY MUCH. FOR THE PRICE, THEY ARE A BARGAIN. I USE THEM AS MY REAR SURROUND SPEAKERS. THEY ARE PAIRED WITH MY BOSE 201 FRONT SPEAKERS. THE TWO SETS OF SPEAKERS ARE PERFECTLY MATCHED. I WOULD RECCOMEND THESE SPEAKERS AND ANY BOSE SPEAKERS TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN GOOD SOUND.
I have looked at and have listen to the Bose 161 Surround speakers.
I use 3 pair. (Front L/R)(Surround L/R)(Rear L/R).
These speakers alone have a pleasing sound but are not design to produce Bass compaired to a powered or non-powered sub.
I was able to listen to the 161 at a local store.
The 161 required a bit more input/volume compaired to other displays.
But I've owned Bose products for years and have never been disapointed with there look an most importantly Sound.
Match the 161 with a powered sub and you'll never have any regrets.
The units look nice and sound good. I'm using them as surround speakers mounted to the ceiling, angled down. The bass may be a bit weak but they are just surround speakers, that's what the bass pounding woofer is for. There is a 2 piece bracket, one attaches to the speaker, the other to the mounting surface. Bose gives you a screw to attach the 2 brackets together to finish the installation. The screw is TOO LONG! I couldn't get it tight enough to hold in place. It's a #8 screw so I found a slightly shorter one that would make it tight but the head was to large so I had to grind down the head to fit in the plastic recessed hole. If you are just setting the speakers on a table they give you rubber feet, so you wont have this problem.
I have three sets of these and love them. Great sound for the price and they look nice. Well worth the money.
I purchased a pair of the Bose 161 speakers to use as extension speakers in a small dining room. They are connected to a Techniques 75 WPC receiver using 16 Ga wire.

While the highs and midranges are fine, the bass is very disappointing and barely there. When I contacted Bose to recommend a woofer or unpowered subwoofer they told me that they do not sell such products. I wished that your specs had listed the speaker range in CPS that may have helped me make a better decision.
I have had a pair of 161's for about a 2 years now and just purchased another pair from crutchfield, i use them for my front and surround speakers in a 6.1 surround setup. I have them hooked up with 16 gauge monster THX certified cable. I can crank up the reciever all the way with no distortion from these speakers, i like the small size of these and that they can be mounted to wall/ceiling. They sound great for music and movies.

Articulated Array Speaker Design: By precisely positioning the drivers inside the speaker cabinet, an Articulated Array speaker design can provide a large, consistent sound field. This allows for a more cinema-like experience.
Stereo Everywhere Speaker Performance: Because many conventional speakers radiate sound directly into the room, you hear balanced stereo sound only in one small "sweet spot." Using patented Bose Direct/Reflecting speaker technology, the Direct/Reflecting speakers deliver a natural balance of reflected and direct sound. You hear balanced stereo sound almost anywhere in the room.
Mounting: Using the supplied brackets, the Bose 161 speakers can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the wall. Using the supplied self-adhesive rubber feet, the speakers can be placed on any flat surface.
Note: For Stereo Everywhere speaker performance, horizontal mounting is required.
Recommended Power: 10-100 watts with receivers rated from 4 to 8 ohms

These are to be attached to any speaker output. Preferably mid to highs. Mine are connected to the mid-rear of a 7.1 system. they have to be powered. Thanx, and have a nice day, Danniel [ DANIEL M Mar 04, 2014 ]
No [ JESSE Feb 25, 2014 ]
I hooked mine up to my receiver as a set of rear speakers. [ ERIC M Feb 24, 2014 ]
Most, if not all people don't even have speaker terminals on their TV. Standard hook-up for these speakers would be to a stereo receiver or A/V receiver via the speaker terminals on the back of those components. [ ROBERT Feb 24, 2014 ]
They cannot work by themselves, but there are ways to make them work using other gear. I recommend contacting an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 for a personal recommendation. My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101 [ Paul Jan 09, 2017 ] Staff
The brackets have a turning radius on them. So I belive they can be placed on the ceiling at an angle to tilt toward the listener. It will be a sublte tilt. [ LISA Apr 08, 2015 ]
Probably not, given the mounting bracket and the shape of the speaker. [ EDWARD J Apr 08, 2015 ]
Yes, the speakers come with a bracket that can be used for ceiling or wall mount. [ MICHAEL S Apr 07, 2015 ]
David - I'm not sure, but I don't see why not. I mounted ours on a beam near the ceiling, and they sounded great. Not sure you'd be able to angle them correctly if you mounted them on a horizontal ceiling. Hope that helped. [ Gary Apr 07, 2015 ]
Yes. the mounting brackets would allow for that [ ROBERT Apr 07, 2015 ]
Yes. [ BRUCE J Apr 07, 2015 ]
Yea I have them as a second channel in my kitchen, and they work very well, depending on the music source, it comes across well, you do lack some bass, but for a nice way to put quality sound that doesn't sound like a radio in a room, this will do the trick I think. [ MICHAEL Dec 29, 2014 ]
Casey, We placed a set in our bedroom and on a a screened in porch and enjoy them a lot. We do have our house wired for speakers in every room and being retired rarely turn the volume up. My concern would be if the space you are trying to fill is very large they may not be enough, but then that depends on what you listen to. I do consider the sound quality good, but then it is Bose. [ KIT Dec 29, 2014 ]
These speakers are probably the least expensive Bose. As such, they are OK. Not great, not bad, just OK. They are heavy in the middle. Not much base, and they lack detail on the high end. They worked fine for me but I am using them with a subwoofer. [ MICHAEL S Dec 29, 2014 ]
I use them for surround sound. I think they would be fine [ DONALD T Dec 29, 2014 ]
No, you must connect these to a receiver. [ Vincent Apr 09, 2014 ]
They can but it will require a special wiring harness to plug into the external speaker port on your computer. The speakers are very good. [ DAVID P Feb 26, 2014 ]
No, not directly. Computer speakers typically have an amplifier in them since the computer does not. This is why computer speakers must be plugged into a wall outlet (or sometimes they use batteries). You can, however, play music from your computer wirelessly through your home audio system using technology like NuForce Air DAC. I have recently installed this and find it great! [ STEPHEN Feb 25, 2014 ]
that would not be ideal, these are designed for outdoor usage [ THE BIG Feb 25, 2014 ]
I do not know - I hooked the pair I bought from Crutchfield to my surround sound system in my living room. I do know they give out a really nice and concise sound. Sorry I could not be further helpful [ PHILLIP Feb 25, 2014 ]
These cannot be used directly with a laptop, as they require an amplifier to produce sound. You would need to purchase a suitable amplifier and a cable to connect to your laptop's headphone port in order to use these speakers. [ TIMOTHY J Feb 25, 2014 ]
You could paint them, however, disassembly would be required. [ Vincent Apr 09, 2014 ]
Judy, there is no reason you couldn't paint the speakers, the plastic body anyway, mine closely match the walls where I mounted them, thry blend pretty well, so no issue there, the screens would have to be masked [ MICHAEL Jan 20, 2014 ]
I did not paint them and would be afraid to for many reasons, not the least of which would be changing the acoustical characteristics by plugging up holes. You should ask the manufacturer. [ STEPHEN Jan 19, 2014 ]
