Improved version of QC15
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Went ahead and purchased the BOSE QC 25 to replace my 2009 vintage QC15 whose battery connector sheered off after a few years. The new QC25 has a coiled spring instead of the blade-like connector. I find the QC25 an improved version of the headphone in that I feel more comfortable with them for a longer time on my head, maybe because of the improved cushions the headband. They are about equal in weight as the 15's, but I feel a better sounding impression when listening to classical music. They are not as bass heavy as the 15's which is a blessing to my 80 year old hearing accuity. One observation: if you are going to listen from a iPhone source, the QC 25 comes with an adapter to convert the 35mm plug to a Lighning plug. I am very satisfied with my purchase and Crutchfield's support.
Pros: After owning and enjoying my QC15 Bose headphone since 2009 I finally updated to the excellent QC25. Improvement in construction like a folding headband to make them fit a compasct case instead of the hard case that came with the QC15 as well as an improved battery connector via a coil spring instead of the breakable connector leke the QC15 had which broke off after just three years of use. There is a definite improvement in the fidelity of the sound as well as the quietness of the ambient noise
Cons: I fiind this new headphone slighly heavier than the QC15 as well as being tighter on your head, however the cushion material is much more confortable.
