WiFi Music System: The Bose SoundTouch Stereo WiFi Music System
consists of two Jewel Cube speakers, an Acoustimass module, SoundTouch
Controller, and SoundTouch Wireless Adapter. The speaker system lets you listen
to a variety of Internet Radio stations and music services, as well as your computer's music
library. It connects to the Internet and your computer via your wired (Ethernet)
or wireless (WiFi) home network. You can control the system from the included SoundTouch Controller or control the system from your Apple iOS or Android
device, via Bose's free SoundTouch Remote app.
Note: The Bose SoundTouch Stereo WiFi Music System does
not offer any analog or digital audio inputs to connect to your TV,
Satellite/Cable box, or Blu-ray/DVD player.
Two Jewel Cube Speakers: The system's two Bose Jewel Cube speakers
measure only 2.25" (w) x 4.5" (h) x 3.3125" (d), and weigh just 1 lb. These tiny
speakers let you enjoy open, spacious sound you wouldn't expect from speakers of
this size. These Jewel Cube speaker can be swiveled, allowing you to reflect
sound off the walls as well as project it directly into the room. The result is
full, spacious sound throughout the room; not just in one small "sweet-spot".
Direct/Reflecting speaker technology delivers lifelike spaciousness from a
natural balance of reflected and direct sound; similar to a live performance.
You'll hear your streaming music come to life in convincing detail.

optional Bose or universal wall brackets (018UB20B,
sold separately) or stands (018UFS20B,
Acoustimass Module: The system's Jewel Cube speakers work in concert
with the hideaway, self-powered Acoustimass module to deliver a full-range sound. Exclusive
technology in the module helps provide the emotional intensity you feel at a
music concert. The system's Acoustimass module delivers the clarity of pure
sound reproduction down to the lowest frequencies, even at the loudest levels.
Because it eliminates audible distortion, you can place the Acoustimass module
almost anywhere, even behind furniture, and all the sound will appear to come
from the system's tiny cube speakers.
Note: The Acoustimass module features a built-in amplifier
which powers its own subwoofer and the two connected Jewel Cube speakers.
Proprietary speaker wire is included to connect the Jewel Cube speakers to
the Acoustmass module.
ADAPTiQ Audio Calibration: The SoundTouch Stereo WiFi Music System's
performance is customized to the acoustics of your room with the Bose ADAPTiQ
audio calibration system. ADAPTiQ audio calibration system analyzes the way your
room's dimensions & other variables affect sound, then automatically adjusts the
sound of your speaker system to the acoustics of your room. To perform a
calibration you need about 10 minutes when the room is quiet. While wearing the
special headset, the system will ask you to place yourself in five different
locations (sitting or standing) in your listening area as the system takes
measurements in each. Audio prompts from the system will guide you through the

no speakers, but special microphones designed to be worn above the ears. It
enables you to take acoustic measurements in your room during the custom
equalization process. The headset has an adjustable headband and a 28' cord
terminating in a pair of stereo male RCA plugs which plug into the system's RCA
SoundTouch Wireless Adapter: The included SoundTouch
Wireless Adapter plugs into the system's Acoustimass module's Bose Link
connector and allows you to
connect to your home network and stream select Internet radio stations, online
music services, and your computer's music library to the Bose SoundTouch Stereo
WiFi Music System. The SoundTouch Wireless Adapter offers a wired (Ethernet) or wireless (WiFi) connection to
your home network. The system features a rear-panel Ethernet R-J45 port and
built-in WiFi (802.11 b/g). The system's network connection must be setup
initially from your Windows or Mac computer using the Bose SoundTouch App and
the included microUSB-to-USB cable.
Variety Of Music Sources: The SoundTouch Stereo WiFi Music
System supports a variety of music options; including Internet Radio, Pandora
Radio, music files stored on your computer, and stored music/music apps on your
Apple iOS device.
- Internet Radio: The SoundTouch system lets you play
Internet radio stations from around the world.
- Pandora + iHeart Radio: You also get access to Pandora &
iHeartRadio online music service. Currently Pandora & iHeartRadio is the
only online music services available, but more music services will be added
in the future.
- Music Stored On Your Computer: The SoundTouch Stereo
can play back MP3, WMA, AAC, Apple Lossless, Flac music files that are
managed by iTunes or Windows Media Player on your Windows or Mac computer.
You computer must be connected to the same wired or wireless home network as
the SoundTouch system.
- AirPlay for iOS devices: You are able to stream stored
music and music apps from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the SoundTouch
WiFi music systems via AirPlay. You can also stream your entire iTunes
music library on your laptop/desktop computer using Apple's freeRemote app
for iPod touch/iPhone/iPad. Your iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad must have iOS
4.3 or later installed and connected to the same wireless home network as
the SoundTouch music system.
Note: You cannot stream music stored on an Android phone or
from apps on an Android phone to the Bose SoundTouch system.
Six Presets: You can personalize six presets to your
favorite streaming music services (Pandora/iHeart Radio) and Internet radio
stations, or playlists, artists, albums, and songs from your computer's music
library. The presets can easily be set, changed, and accessed directly on the
system's controller or with the free SoundTouch app on your computer or
iOS/Android device. You cannot set presets for AirPlay.
SoundTouch Setup App (for Windows/Mac computer): The
SoundTouch app for Windows & Macintosh is required for initial setup of the Bose
SoundTouch Stereo WiFi Music System. The SoundTouch app lets you setup and
control the Bose SoundTouch system from your Windows PC (XP/7/8) or Mac computer
(OS X 10.6.8+). Simply install the
SoundTouch app onto your computer on your home network and use the app to
setup the Bose SoundTouch system to your wireless or wired home network. Once
setup is complete, you can use this app to explore Internet radio, select online
music services, or your music library from your home network and computer on the
Bose SoundTouch Stereo WiFi Music System.
SoundTouch Remote App (for Apple iOS/Android): Once you've
completed the setup using the SoundTouch app on your computer, you can download
the free SoundTouch Controller app (from the
iTunes Apps store or
Google Play Store) onto your Apple iOS (iOS 5.0+) or Android (4.0.3+) device
so you can control the Bose SoundTouch Stereo WiFi Music System from your mobile
device. You'll be able to control music streaming from Internet radio, available
online music services, and your computer's music library.
SoundTouch Controller: The included SoundTouch controller gives you immediate access to your music, so you don't need to use
your smartphone, tablet, or computer to operate the Bose SoundTouch Stereo
WiFi Music System. The SoundTouch controller lets you adjust the volume, skip or
pause songs, and turn the SoundTouch system on/off, from across the room. The
controller's OLED display even shows you what playlist or station you're
listening to, as well as lets you preview the music on your other saved presets.
Because the SoundTouch Controller employs Bluetooth LE (low-energy) and has a
range of up to 70', you don't have to be near your SoundTouch system to control
your music. It runs on 4 "AA" batteries that can last 6 to 12 months. To
preserve battery time, the controller automatically goes into standby mode a few
seconds after use. But it instantly wakes up anytime you place your hand near
it. For added convenience, a wall-mount cradle lets you wall-mount the
controller. There's a magnet in the bracket to keep the controller safely in
Multi-Room Configuration: The SoundTouch Stereo WiFi Music
System works with other
Bose SoundTouch systems (sold separately) to create a multi-room
listening experience throughout your home or office. In "Play Everywhere" mode, these systems work together as
one to play the same music, ideal for parties. Or, they can be used to play
different music in different rooms.
Note: You can link up to four SoundTouch music systems
together for a multi-room/multi-source audio experience. You are able to
play the same music source or different music source on each SoundTouch
system, using the SoundTouch app on your computer or iOS/Android device.
