Increase the reach of your USB and 3.5" mini-jack devices with this 37" extension cable. At one end, you'll find a male USB plug, composite video jack, and stereo RCA connectors that plug into the rear inputs of your marine receiver. The other end features a USB port and an audio/video minijack in a mount that you can install in a wall or a control panel with a 3/4" opening. An integrated rubber cap protects the inputs from the elements. Warranty: 1 year.

Pros: Plugged right into the radio
Great product ... fit perfect and installed easily
Pros: Fits nicely to replace a seldom used 12v accessory or cigarette lighter outlet. Nice long pig tail to be convientently located from stereo.
Cons: Not sure how long the cover cap will hold up if used repeatedly. But most connections are via Bluetooth.
Plugs directly into the back of the Clarion head unit allowing me to use a USB plug with my laptop for a great chart plotting application on my boat .The installation is neat and everyone believes it was factory installed
Pros: Easy need an effective
Being able to use and control iPod through the stereo is awesome. I'm very glad I found this.
Pros: Gives you more control of iPod and other accessories.
It works as advertised. What else can I say
I replaced my cigarette lighter with this unit. I was at first worried that the USB only transferred power, but it also transfers data. I used the USB connection to attach to the back of my head unit, and the aux input to connect to the back of my head unit via the RCA cables. It all works very well, and looks very clean in the dash.
Works as advertised. Solid cabling prevents feedback from other electrical systems.
Pros: Allowed me to install an aux port in a car that doesn't have one built in.
Cons: The diameter is not 3/4", had to use a 1" boring drill bit to make a hole big enough for it to fit in.
USB/AUX Extension Cable: The Clarion CCAUSBAV is a USB/Auxiliary extension cable which features a male USB (type-A) connector, a male composite video jack, and male stereo RCA jacks on one end of the cable and a female USB (type-A) port and female 3.5mm AV jack on other end of cable. The female USB port and 3.5mm AV jack are covered by a pre-installed rubber cap making it usable for the marine environment. The female USB port and 3.5mm AV jack is designed to be flush-mounted using the pre-installed mounting collar.

No it does not play video. It does give you more audio control though.[ David May 10, 2017 ]
This will only support video with the older-style 1/8" cables & devices that have a tip, 2 rings, and a sleeve on the connector. It will only support composite video. It all depends on you devices, their outputs, and if you have the correct 1/8" cable plugged into it. If you have a standard cable in it, it will only pass audio. The only time I used one of these to pass video is with portable DVD players and old iPod video devices to composite in on the screens in the vehicle.[ Jason May 03, 2017 ]
No, it doesn't but other than that, it's really a good stereo.[ Michael May 03, 2017 ]

Yes, this cable will work for that purpose. Think of it as just a usb extension chord.[ daniel Jul 10, 2015 ]
The cord plugs into the usb on the unit and is an extension . It also has rca plugs for audio and video[ LARRY Jan 16, 2015 ]
The cord is hardwired and is not detachable.[ NATHAN W Jan 16, 2015 ]
The cords are hard wired into the unit.[ Jesse Jan 16, 2015 ]
I dont see why it would not work. We purchase these at about 12 at a time for motor coach use, it hooks to an automotive radio. It is not anything more than a USB with a mounting collar on one end.[ GORDON R Dec 10, 2014 ]
Better check with an expert since this is a dc adapter and I assume your home system is ac[ JOE C Dec 10, 2014 ]
the device is simply a usb extension cord with a marine housing I am no electronics expert by any means however[ george Dec 10, 2014 ]
