Our take on the Clarion CZ702

There are few things better on a road trip than discovering some new music. Clarion lets you tap into the power of Pandora in your car with their CZ702 CD receiver. All it takes is your iPhone® and the free Pandora app — just connect via USB and you can change stations and rate songs from your dash like you do online.

Pandora® Internet radio

There are few things better on a road trip than discovering some new music. Clarion lets you tap into the power of Pandora in your car with their CZ702 CD receiver. All it takes is your iPhone® and the free Pandora app — just connect via USB and you can change stations and rate songs from your dash like you do online.

Hands-free calls and audio streaming

Clarion outfits the CZ702 with built-in Bluetooth so you can talk hands-free. When a call comes in, the receiver mutes the music while you talk to your caller over your car's speakers. The CZ702 features a driver's-side built-in microphone that'll pick up your end of the conversation, or you can add an optional mic for convertibles and other vehicles with high interior noise levels. Another big plus — you can also stream music directly into the CZ702 from a compatible phone or music player.

Easy iPod® and iPhone control

Once you connect your iPod or iPhone to the USB input, you'll enjoy outstanding sound quality and even keep your player charged as you drive. You can browse your music collection using the stereo's intuitive controls, or let your passengers control the tunes with included remote while you concentrate on driving. The 2-line display on this sharp-looking stereo keeps you informed of what's playing, and you can choose from 728 possible colors so the Clarion's illumination matches your dash.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?
In most vehicles, you can use an adapter (not included) to connect your vehicle's steering wheel controls to this Clarion stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and the Clarion, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. Check the "Accessories" tab for compatible adapters.

iPod note: If you're going to use your iPod with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this receiver.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

    Great sound quality

Dave from London, UK on 10/20/2016

I picked up one of these recently to upgrade from my Alpine UTE-72BT and noticed a big difference in sound quality. I picked this up as it was a bit of a bargain for the spec. Clarion is often overlooked I have no regrets. There is an on board active crossover which allows 3 different types of set up (check the online manual for how it all works). I just have a modest system with amp'd Boston accoustics up front, JBL in rear doors to the stereo amp and an Orion/Polk Audio amp and sub in the rear and it sounds sweet. The time alignment is easy to set up and a great feature, most of the menus are easy to navigate. Bluetooth is easy to use as well. Only 1 downside is the colours. You can customise them but I can't get a bright white. The colours seem a little dark but still can be seen clearly enough so don't let that put you off.

Pros: Very good spec, 5V 3 pre outs, Active 3 way crossover on board, noticable improvement on sound quality, Time alignment.

Cons: USB doesn't cover FLAC files, fairly bland styling, colours on the display are a bit dark

This is a great deck for the money. Has all the features I was looking for and a bunch I wasn't. The color change option is nice. The display is really hard to see in the daytime, and it's glossy so it reflects and glares.

Pros: Great sound Looks nice Good features

Cons: Hard to see during the day Wasn't free

All the features I needed. Perfect!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I wanted to replace my factory Jeep radio to get bluetooth, Pandora, Ipod controls, and retain the factory steering wheel radio buttons. This radio was a SMOKING deal. It does everything the Kenwood Excelon double din in my other car but at an 8th of the price. 5v pre-outs, built in microphone for hands free calling. Bluetooth pairing was absolutely as easy as it gets. Turn on bluetooth on your phone, let it find the radio, select pair, and make sure the 6 digit code on your phone matches. Easy. Very happy with my purchase, and Crutchfieds customer service. They were actually able to tell me what wires to use on the PAC adapter.

Pros: Price Features Tons of colors to match your cars guages 5V pre-amp outputs including subwoofer Remote Works with factory steering wheel controls

Cons: If your the impatient type, it does take a little bit to connect to an ipod and read it.

    Not Right for Me

    SSM3 from California on 4/29/2015

    1998 BMW M3
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Clarion CZ702 was a huge disappointment! I really does not fit a BMW E36 because of the huge bloom of wires that need to be tucked in the back. A 15 minute job took hours, and now that it is (somewhat) installed the performance is terrible! I bought it to add Bluetooth to my car, but bluetooth operation is poorly executed, and only can store profiles for 3 phones. Without Bluetooth presets, It seems that to make a call you would have to go through a series of complicated steps. Too much while driving... And Bluetooth does not work on my car. Mic is fine, but no sound through speakers. Once I put it into the mode to listen to call through the car speakers, the unit freezes and needs to be reset! FM reception is poor also! Total piece of junk on all accounts, installation was a hassle, poor functionability (if it worked), and this unit is faulty. I can't wait to take it out of the car! I hate it! I cannot recommend this unit at all, and hope Crutchfield will refund. ...What a terrible experience...

    Pros: Looks nice, multiple colors.

Cons: Terrible bluetooth implementation, poor build quality, poor wire management, Poor FM, Shouldn't be recommended for BMW 3 series (1992-1999) because it does not fit all the excess wires out the back!!

Great unit, I had issues connecting other units to my old premium Toyota system, but this was a breeze and installation only took 15 minutes.

Pros: Easy to install, good sound quality, looks great.

Cons: None that I have encountered.

    Best Budget Bluetooth Radio!

    Johnny from Tennessee on 4/15/2015

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased a Sony MEX-N5000BT CD Receiver from Crutchfield and it was wonderful, but the fact that I had to mount an ugly mic, and that I would have to manually connect to Bluetooth each time was a big disappointment. I told Crutchfield about it and they sent this unit and refunded me the difference. Not only was this receiver $10 cheaper than the Sony, but it automatically connected me to Bluetooth, it played phone sounds through the speakers (The Sony did not) which I like, it's not for everyone, but I like knowing when I received texts. It also works with Hey Siri so I can text through voice, and if you have a text to voice app it will also play your texts you receive. (I'd disable this if you have passengers, awkward moments haha) Overall this does so much better.

Pros: Colors are more defined Works with Siri Bluetooth auto connects Skip, Pause, Play, and Thumbs up and down songs all from the receiver Mic is built into the receiver USB is in the back of the receiver which allowed me to run it through the the A-Pillar so I could have a flush mount phone up higher and charge my phone. (Some may prefer usb in the front, but if you have Bluetooth there is no need for this, it just adds more wires and make it look less clean and professional looking, plus there

Cons: The menu is hard to navigate without instructions. Took me 10 minutes to figure out how to set the clock, and only did I figure it out when I read the instructions. If you keep the manual, this will be easy. I advise leaving it in your glove box.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Awesome stereo. Bluetooth works great. I use the bluetooth and use my phones media player to play FLAC files and the SQ is great! I only have 2 gripes. First, the display is too dim to be seen in daylight at all. The next is that i have Infinity primus 3 ohm components and after 5-10 minutes of high volume listening, The amp guard protection circuit comes on and I have to restart the radio. After I get my new amp for mids and hight problem will be gone. At normal listening volume or a little louder it works flawlessly.

Pros: sound quality. all of the adjustability and outputs. Hot amp outputs. Bluetooth works great.

Cons: Amp protection circuit trips with 3 ohm speakers at high volume. such as most Infinities including primus and reference and the JBL lineup. I think Harman is on a 3 ohm speaker kick. Second the display is terrible in the light no matter what color you choose.

    Great features, convoluted menus

    Janabear from Texas on 4/12/2015

    1999 Chrysler Town and Country
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Sound and build quality is precisely what you would expect out of Clarion; clear clean sound in a solid package. The menu system for iPod access feels a tad convoluted; however this may be a side effect of using an older iPod Classic as opposed to a more modern device. For the price and the features, however, it is hard to beat. Highly recommended.

Pros: Ease of installation, build quality, sound quality, overall feature set

Cons: Menu navigation is lackluster, but useable.

Best investment I've ever made and satisfaction on a car system standpoint, it meets all my needs, from sound quality to clarity ,factory speakers.Lincoln LS 05',the more volume the clearer it sounds, crystal clear using bluetooth, aux and usb......takes time to learn to tune it but after that you'll enjoy the ride.

Pros: Best buy for good quality

    Cons: None

    Great Unit

    2005 Honda Element
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nice head unit. Sounds great, easy to install, and looks very nice. Doesn't look OEM, but doesn't look cheesy either. Bluetooth and USB are great to have as options and work perfectly -- my Android phone pairs up with the stereo as soon as I turn on the car. USB is awesome, load up a big flash drive with tons of music and just set it to shuffle on a long road trip. Perfect. Display does get a little washed out in bright sunlight, but that could be party because I like the white/blue backlighting at night -- a bolder color might show better in the daytime. Keep the manual handy for a while.... this thing has so many features and adjustable options it took me a while to get the navigation down. Once you've used it a while though it's very logically laid out. Very happy with it, especially for $120.00 -- 15 years ago I was paying 3x that for the old Clarion DRX series that didn't have half the features of this, amazing how far things have come.

Pros: Value for money, looks, features, sound quality.

Cons: Display is a little light, too many options!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

You certainly can't beat it for the cost (119.00) is what i paid at Crutchfield. That's quite a discount. The sound is definitely an improvement over my older model Clarion. I've read reviews where the reviewer says that they hear sounds they never heard in their music before, well i have to agree and I've heard many systems before. My goal was to go 3way active. Sometimes i feel illiterate with wiring, but this wasn't too difficult and it turned out just fine. Nice looking HU too. Next i'm looking to upgrade my tweets and i'll be happy for a while. I have never had one problem with Crutchfields service. They answer quickly and they have good answers.

Pros: Sound quality, easy to wire, and not to difficult to program the settings.

Cons: Nothing negative that i can think of at this time.

Pros: looks functionality price sound build quality

Cons: ease of use i don't know that it would be a con just takes getting use to if all you have had in the past is pioneer

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Unit far exceeds radios of the past. There is so much you can do to manipulate the sound with this unit that it's easy to get lost. Take the time to read the instructions and play around with the audio settings and you will not be disappointed with your purchase. Sound quality is top notch and the installation is simple. Functionality takes some getting used to but pays off in the end.

Pros: Good construction and design. Feels sturdy and reliable.

Cons: Easily get lost in the audio settings and capabilities. Difficult at times to figure out what portion of the settings to be in to adjust something and then save the adjustments.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Replaced older model with this new model. This one adds Bluetooth and 5 volts Preout. I really liked the 5V preout, much cleaner signal to the amps. Subwoofer control is buried in menus, takes too long to get to adjustment.

Pros: 5v preout. Pretty easy to use. Clean sound. Great deal for this price range.

Cons: Menus take a bit to get through to adjust subwoofer level.

Dont waste your time or money

What a peace of crap! Never worked right, not even once. Blue tooth takes multiple trys to link to every time i got in my truck. cd, for 1 reason or another, will not pick up unless u eject the cd and put it back in. i have been installing car stareos into my own cars for the pass 20yrs, and never have i had such a hard time with with a EQ, absoulute trash. had to take to a Clarion dealer just to get the right snd out of it. On top of it all, this deck died after no more then 35hrs of use, Buy Anything Else and you will be much happier, then with this trash. the snd quality was good for the 30 or so hrs the deck worked.

    Pros: snd quality??

Overall a great stereo for the money. I needed 3 sets of pre-outs due to keeping my Bose system and then to have the ability to add my own sub and this unit has it. Bluetooth works great for my iPhone and streams music with no issues. USB port with a decently long cable. Great radio for the money and am overall pretty happy with it.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed in a 99 Town & Country. The factory stereo cd player stopped working years ago. I finally decided it was time to take the dive and just purchase a new stereo. I am so glad I did. The sound is incredible with my factory speakers. The sound quality really shocked me. I used to have this annoying vibration at the rear speaker, it seemed to vibrate the window. Well I am happy to say, that is gone. Not to mention I still have my steering wheel controls. I purchased a module that connects the stereo to my steering wheel controls and I am extremely pleased. I recommend this stereo with 5+ stars.

Pros: Sound Quality is awsome. The back lights are pretty cool, I left mine on factory setting, and they constantly change color. Blue tooth, USB, and the list goes on. Highly recommend.

Blue tooth sucks and cuts out alot, have to go in and reconnect every time you enter (brothers Boss automatically does this at alot less cash then I paid) and to make my life better a week or two after the price dropped. But what can you do :( Really the cut out issues are the most annoying thing about it and ill probably have to go back to a aux cord which I bought this to get away from.

Pros: Sounds pretty good, looks good

Cons: Blue tooth is crap with the i pod touch instructions are crap Adjustments are complicated, more of an advanced user unit

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Just installed this receiver in my RAV4. So far, so good. Instructions for setup somewhat confusing but once figured it out (via call to Help line at Crutchfield) it was a breeze to "program". Color coded wiring harnesses (2) a MUST to make installation "possible". Connecting "dimmer" lead from receiver to "dimmer" lead on wiring harness disables auto headlights off when car is locked via remote. Another phone call to Crutchfield suggested not using the "dimmer" lead from receiver - problem solved. Overall, happy with product, installation and customer support.

Pros: Price, Features, Appearance, Operation, Bluetooth excellent as well as SiruisXM

Cons: Somewhat difficult to set-up once installed. Display could be brighter for daytime viewing, perfect at night.

    Excellent Budget SQ Head Unit

    wildcatgoal from Atlanta on 2/8/2015

    2006 Kia Spectra
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Overall this head unit is no harder or easier to master than your average single DIN unit. This has active crossover capability so it's better than anything at this price point and much higher! The color matching worked perfectly for my Kia and, aside from it being annoying to program time alignment and custom EQ from a single line display, it made my Polk dB/JBL GTO/PPI budget SQ system in my commuter sound better than I would have though cheap stuff could sound. I'd change the order and/or name of some things in the menu but honestly it takes 10 min to get used to what Clarion calls things. Oh, and it has Bluetooth but no external mic. The mic is in the head unit. It works fine, people say hey head me just fine. If you have a bigger or noisy car than your average econo ride then maybe buying the external mic is needed but I doubt it for most cars.

Pros: Time alignment Active crossovers Great sound quality Build quality is good CD inserts and comes out fast HD radio with module Bluetooth works fine Buttons all make sense

Cons: Two line display would be nice

At first I was scared to buy this product cause it seemed to cheap to be good. The kids talked me into it tho and I'm so glad they did. The kids are 14 and 12 and just think its the coolest radio ever. Being teens I guess we can take there word for it lol. I was very pleased with how well it sounded. The kids love the fact they have a remote control now so they don't have to yell from the back mom can you change this or mom can you turn this up. I would defiantly suggest this radio to my friends. For the price of it you cant pass it up!!

I bought this unit to replace a terrible stereo that the previous owner had installed. What a difference! The installation took less than an hour, and it powered right up, and paired with my phone. The sound is much improved, although I still plan to put better speakers I'm later! Excellent stereo for the money.

Pros: Great product for the money!

    Cons: None.

    Enjoying my Clarion CZ702

Love this player. Purchased it mainly for the Bluetooth features for steaming music from my many Apple products. I also enjoy the viable color display, really pops with my red leather interior and red gauges. Install was fairly straight forward. The harnesses and mounting hardware provided by Crutchfield were on point for a seamless install.

Pros: Viable color display allows for a broad range of customization as with more expensive packages without the cost. Great Bluetooth features with easy pairing and steaming audio.

Cons: no complaints for the cost.

    Great for the price

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Replaced the head unit in my 96 Maxima with no issues. All features seem to work great, but I don't use HD or SiriusXM. For reference, this is much louder than the factory head unit was. Turning it to 30% is already much louder than the stock unit at 100% (which is uncomfortable for me anyway). I can't see why anyone would need an amplifier unless they were trying to entertain a crowd at a tailgate. I wish it would read FLAC or use m3u playlists, but it's still a great upgrade and those are downfalls I can deal with.

Pros: USB/iPod connection in the back means I don't have to have my iPod in the front anymore. AM/FM tuner is sensitive. Display seems good enough to me. Bluetooth call quality seems excellent. People haven't had a problem hearing me with the built in mic. It seems to have some noise reduction as well. Bluetooth audio streaming works without a hitch.

Cons: USB connection appears to be hardwired into the unit, so if it becomes damaged it's not a quick replacement. 2 line display is fine, but it would be nice if it allowed for faster scrolling through long lists of tracks. No matter how fast you turn the volume knob, the scroll speed is limited. It's not terribly intuitive. I decided to keep the manual in the glove box in case I ever need to find a function or setting because some are hidden by long-pressing buttons, and I usually just toss manua

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Clarion CZ702 is a great radio for the price. It's very user friendly and easy to figure out. The instructions are helpful to get you on the right path for setup and the path is easy to follow from there. The sound is amazing even with the factory speakers in my car. I thought I would have to replace the speakers after listening to the factory AM/FM radio through them but after hearing the difference by just replacing the head unit I'll be keeping the speakers. This unit looks good in my dash and the display is customizable for your preferences. It also has a lot of features for a reasonable price.

Pros: User friendly, nice looking, great sound

Cons: The display can be hard to see in bright day light with some of the display colors, there is no direct way to get to a satallite radio station without scrolling through the list

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Wow! I must say that it appears Clarion is on track to regain their former glory. Having used Pioneer products for the last 14 years, I decided to move back to Clarion after researching their line up and settled on this fantastic CZ702 HU. The Bluetooth connectivity and the rear USB port were the defining features for me. After installing this unit, this thing out powers the outgoing Pioneer unit by 5 watts.(Installed in a 2002 Crown Victoria) Bluetooth setup with a Galaxy Nexus was painless; music and phone contacts, check; goodbye wires! There are plenty of options to shape the sound spectrum, but the coolest thing is Time Alignment. While not as accurate as a stand alone Time Alignment module, you can adjust the stereo imaging so the sound is coming from space in the car, not directly from the speakers. Just imagine listening to a high-end listening room. Kudos to Clarion for bringing audiophile applications to a larger audience. In fact, it was only a few years ago that Clarion was one of the only companies offering time alignment systems to sync the output of each speaker to the listener's ear at the same time. You can spend $350.00 on a Pioneer DEH-80PRS, but I like keeping money in my pocket.

Pros: The value of Time Alignment capability alone makes the price worth it!

Cons: The instruction manual was useless. The system is not immediately user friendly, but once you figure it out, it's an awesome HU.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I had a Clarion head unit in a car many years ago with factory speakers and had a great sounding system at a relatively cheap price. I pulled out a Blaupunkt unit in my car recently because it lost receive sensitivity in the FM band, won't keep accurate time, and was just plain on the edge of kaputzing. I bought this unit for the ability to add Sirius/XM tuner, Bluetooth built-in, and just because I've had good experience in the past with the brand. I'm not an audio expert, but the install was easy and all functionality I was looking for was easily configured. Sound is great, tuning Sirius and using Bluetooth streaming are all a breeze. All it took was a quick look through the manual and setup was done in 15 minutes. This unit also offers advanced timing and equalizer features that for me are not a big bonus, but for a more advanced audio person may be a must. All in all, after having it installed and playing music for a few weeks now, I'm very happy with my purchase. It's not the most expensive unit out there, but it will do a nice job in a single DIN platform. The only reason I gave it a 3 in "Coolness" factor is the 2-DIN units with GPS and DVD playback are just on a different level. I wish my ride could support the 2 DIN units available these days.

Pros: Price, Sirius/XM integration, ease of install and configuration, sound quality, equalizer options.

Cons: Display brightness during the day makes it hard to read in certain situations; not a deal breaker for me but some others have commented and I have to agree. I'd buy it again either way. Like the unit...

I purchased the CZ702 and the XM Radio adaptor. The ease of installation and set up was simple and was not time consuming. The sound is what I expected after hearing my first Clarion in Germany 1988, in a SAAB. The Bluetooth feature was on the money connecting as the XM was as we'll.

Pros: All functions worked immediately after connections startup.

Cons: As of today there are no cons that are identifiable with my system.

Had to replace my old pioneer deck due to the subs out being blown, plus needed a deck with 3 RCAs out. Going with the recommendation from my roommate, I took the dive and haven't regretted it. Pairing my phone to it via bluetooth was really staright forward. Only thing that took me awhile was to adjust the sound but I figured that out of was a snap. Just love it all around.

Pros: Bluetooth, 5v preouts, just slick

Cons: Can't dial a number or view phone book while listening to, say, your usb drive, have to change the source to bluetooth to do that.

I replaced my 10 year old Clarion Pro Audio deck which was easily twice as expensive at this unit. Great features and sound quality. I'm running JL audio amps with a sub and it rocks.

Pros: Features. It was the only deck I could find with every feature I wanted

Cons: Glare on the face makes it a little tough to read. Turning up the dimmer on it does help though. Fine tuning the sound was a little confusing at first, but works well overall.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this to replace my old Pioneer head-unit for which I lost the face plate. The five band parametric EQ offers more adjustability than most other units. The time-alignment is a very nice luxury as well. It's unfortunate that this amount of flexibility which should be standard on most, is only available on a select few offerings. As a result, companies feel more than obliged to ask more money for features that are usually just programmed out of "lower-end" units, while selling a product that is lacking in quality. The buttons on this unit feel cheap and the interface is so dim that it can't be seen during daylight hours. Also, the folder/file navigation through attached USB media is a bit clunky and the unit is very slow to respond to track seek commands. It is also slow to read files at startup as well. I should also mention that the tuner is worthless. I get better reception on every other radio I've ever owned. One last thing to mention. The face plate is silk-screened with various technologies and standards that I don't use or want anything to do with. The interface also annoyingly scrolls these "features" constantly. I don't have the latest "i" product and the many "Bluetooth" devices I've used have been complete wastes of time. I feel I've paid money to to be advertised at.

Pros: Audio configuration options, Equalizer, Time alignment, 3 pairs of 5v outputs, Intuitive interface

Cons: Advertisements, Poor quality, Interface too dim for daylight use, Very slow USB media response times, Poor radio tuner reception, HD radio not standard, Doesn't play many types of audio files (FLAC for instance)

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Sound quality is phenomenal, as I have come to expect from Clarion. However, I'm a little disappointed that Clarion hasn't adopted an "active" display for stereo's of this status and price point. Most other manufacturers have already done so and are comparable in price. The controls are not naturally intuitive but are very easy to use once you take the time to understand them. HD radio should be standard at this price point (once again other manufacturers are already doing it at this price level) but this unit still requires an additional (and fairly expensive) module to enable it. (The Sirius Satellite module is cheaper than the HD module, and doesn't really make sense to me.) Aside from those two specific features the stereo is amazing for an audiophile. Lots of sound configuration abilities. Superior sound quality. Bluetooth works marvelous with my Android phone for streaming audio, but does not work to send and receive phone calls, not sure if its my configuration, but still kind of a disappointment. Over all, I'm very pleased with the product. I'm more interested in the audio functions so it works for me. If you are strictly interested in "AUDIO QUALITY" and not so much bling and glamor. Then this stereo is the one to buy.

Pros: Lots of audio configurations, excellent design and appearance, features are top notch and well implemented, bluetooth audio streaming from my Android phone.

Cons: No "active" display, No built in HD Radio, Won't send or receive phone calls on my Android phone.

    sounds awesome

Good radio for the price i like everything on it except for the display the black gloss finish face plate causes really bad glares on it even with 20% tint on the car. havent used sirus yet. hard to navigate through menus to get to fader/balance sub controls

Pros: 5V pre outs are awesome upgrade from the alpine split 4V, bluetooth connect to iphone with ease all you have to do is turn the unit on and find it on your phone settings hands free talking sounds great according to my callers the Mic has gain settings if the caller cant hear you turn it up. ive never messed with time alignment before so its new to me but from what i have done so far with it it is awesome to adjust each speaker individually. Colors are cool to select from haven't used pandora.

Cons: the display is horrible with glares the black gloss finish cause HORRIBLE glares with a sheet of paper to a clothing item in the passenger seat and i have 20% tint on my windows. the titles are hard to read. the letters and number are on a higher level of the screen and when driving to really read the title of time you have to look down due to the letters/#'s getting cut off. maybe more suited for a truck or SUV where the dash is more "eye level" than a car not very user friendly either cont. ^

    Built-in Bluetooth

Bluetooth Technology (powered by Parrot): The Clarion CZ702 is equipped with built-in Bluetooth ver. 2.0+EDR (powered by Parrot), allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly through the receiver; as well as stream music wirelessly from your smartphone to the head unit.

Bluetooth Profiles: In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, your phone must also be Bluetooth compatible and be able to interpret certain profiles. This unit is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles:

    • Hands-Free Communication: HFP (Hands Free Profile), PBAB (Phone Book Access Profile).
    • Audio Streaming: A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).

Pairing: Before using your Bluetooth enabled device, it must be paired to the CZ702. You can register up to five Bluetooth enabled cell-phones with the Clarion in-dash head unit (only one paired phone can be used at a time). The Clarion CZ702 is compatible with most Bluetooth enabled mobile phones, including the Apple iPhone. The Clarion CZ702 is not compatible with all Bluetooth enabled phones or audio players. Visit Clarion Bluetooth Support for complete list of compatible phones and players.

Hands-Free Communication: The CZ702 supports Bluetooth hands-free communication from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. The CZ702 can be set to automatically answer your incoming calls and mute any music audio to your vehicle's speakers so you can instantly carry on a phone conversation hands-free. An integrated front-panel microphone carries on your side of the conversation while your car's speakers are used to hear the other person. You can make a call by entering the phone number, selecting a contact from your Phonebook list, or using the Call History Log of received/dialed/missed calls.

    • Answering A Call: During an incoming call, the caller's phone number will be seen on the unit's LCD and a ring-tone will be heard through your car stereo speakers. You can then manually answer the incoming call from the head unit's front-panel controls. You can also set the unit to automatically answer an incoming call within 5 seconds.
    • Making A Call: You can make a call using the Clarion in-dash head unit's front-panel controls.
      • Direct Dial: Outgoing calls can be made be entering telephone numbers (0-9, *, #, +) directly via the car stereo's rotary control knob.
      • Phonebook: You can search for contact names in your mobile phone's phonebook from the Clarion CZ702 and then make your call. The head unit can store up to 500 contact numbers.
      • Call Log: You can also make a call by searching your mobile phone's call history (Received/Dialed/Missed) from the Clarion CZ702.
      • Redial: You can simply redial the last number dialed with a press of a single button on the in-dash head unit.

Integrated Microphone: The Clarion CZ702 features an integrated front-panel microphone to carry on your side of a conversation during a Bluetooth phone call. You can adjust the microphone gain (+/-5) for each paired mobile phone device.

External Microphone (optional): The Clarion RCB-204 (sold separately) is an external microphone which can be connected to Clarion CZ702. The external microphone provides better performance in noisy environments than the integrated microphone found on the front-panel of the head unit. The microphone features an attached 13.25' cord terminated by a right-angle male 3.5mm connector which plugs into the microphone input on the rear-chassis of your compatible Clarion head unit. The microphone also features an integrated sun-visor clip for mounting the external microphone in your vehicle. The integrated bracket allows the microphone to swivel left-to-right and rotate up-or-down.

Wireless Audio Streaming: The Clarion CZ702 also supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth enabled audio player or smartphone. The CZ702 will be able to control your stored music's basic playback functions; such as Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track, and Fast-Forward/Reverse. The CZ702 also supports audio streaming of music apps from your smartphone, but without control or metadata. You will continue to use your Bluetooth enabled smartphone to view & control streaming music apps. When an incoming call or outgoing call is in progress from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, audio streaming will be paused so you can take your call. Once the call is finished, your streaming music will resume.

Note: The iPhone 5 only offers Bluetooth audio streaming without control or metadata display.

    Disc Playback

Disc Compatibility: The unit features a single disc player that will playback CD-Audio, CD-Text, & finalized CD-R/CD-RW audio discs.

MP3/WMA Playback: The unit can play MP3 (8-320 kbps/VBR) and WMA (8-320 kbps) files recorded onto CD-R and CD-RW discs using ISO9660 Level 1 or 2, Joliet, Romeo, or Apple ISO formats. The player can recognize up to 8 hierarchical levels and 999 files per folder (or 3,000 total files). This unit is compatible with, and will display MP3 & WMA ID3 tags up to 32 characters.

Disc-In-Play-Function: This feature allows you to turn the power to the unit "on" and start playing the disc automatically when the disc is inserted even if the unit is not powered up, as long as the ignition key is turned to the "on" or "acc" position.

Top Function: The Top Function resets the CD player to the first track of a CD-Audio disc or first track of a folder for an CD-R/RW disc.

Folder Select: This function allows you to select a folder containing MP3/WMA files and start playing from the first track in the folder.

Playback Functions: The CZ702 provides Repeat, Random, & Scan playback functions.

    • Scan Play: This function allows you to locate and play the first 10 seconds of all the tracks recorded on a CD or the first 10 seconds of the first track of all the folders on an MP3/WMA disc.
    • Repeat Play: This function allows you to play the current track on a disc repeatedly or play a file currently being played in a MP3/WMA folder repeatedly.
    • Random Play: This function allows you to play all tracks recorded on a disc or in a folder in a random order.

Last Position Memory: If you turn off the unit while a disc is playing, it will resume playback at the stopping point when it is turned on again.

Auto Reload: When a CD is ejected and left sticking out of the CD slot for 15 seconds, the unit automatically reloads the CD to protect if from damage.

Mounting: For proper CD playback you must install the unit within 30° of horizontal.

    USB/iPod/Aux Connectivity

USB Port: The CZ702 features a rear-panel USB (type-A) port that is attached to the rear chassis via a 41" cable. The rear-panel USB (type-A) port allows you to connect and play USB (1.1/2.0) Mass Storage Class devices loaded with MP3/WMA music files. MP3/WMA files with a bit rate from 8-320 kbps and formatted with FAT are supported. The head unit can recognize up to 999 files per folder and 3,000 total files. Titles up to 64 characters can be displayed while in USB mode. The CZ702 offers the following playback operation of your USB Mass Storage device; Play/Pause, Track selection, Fast-forward/backward, Scan play, Repeat play, and Folder selection. This unit will also charge (0.5A) your connected USB device when the receiver is turned on.

Note: The Clarion USB extension cable (020CCA755, sold separately) can be used to connected your USB flash-memory device. Copy-protected WMA files cannot be played on this unit.

iPod Direct w/ DAC Bypass: The Clarion' CZ702's rear-panel USB port also acts as an iPod/iPhone high-speed direct connection when used with the cable that came with your iPod/iPhone. This type of connection allows audio playback, music navigation, information display, and charging of select iPod/iPhone models from the Clarion in-dash head unit. The USB connection allows your iPod/iPhone's stored music to be loaded instantly to the head unit and sound quality to be maximized through the head unit's 24-bit D/A converter, allowing for a Signal to Noise ratio up to 94dB.

    • Head Unit & Simple Control: The Clarion head unit allows you to navigate your iPod's music by Playlist, Artists, Album, Genre, Composer, Song, or Podcast. You can search these categories alphabetically (A-Z). The head unit also supports Repeat (file/all) playback functions of your connected iPod/iPhone. In Simple Control mode, you can navigate the stored music on your iPod/iPhone from its clickwheel or touchscreen. You can also listen to your favorite music apps from your iPhone (iOS 3.0+) through the Clarion head unit and your vehicle's speakers. You will continue to use your iPhone's touchscreen to navigate your apps. Not all apps will be compatible with App Mode.
    • Information Display: The head unit will display your iPod/iPhone's stored music file information; including Track number, Elapsed playing time, Song title, and Artist/Artist name. The head unit will also display song/artist information from the Pandora App. It will not display metadata from other streamed apps or when in Simple Control mode.
    • iPod Charging: The head unit's USB connection provides 0.5A of current to power and charge your connected iPod/iPhone when your vehicle's ignition switch is set to the 'ACC' or 'On' position. This unit does not charge the iPad. If your iPod/iPhone has no initial battery charge, then the unit will not recognize it.

Note: Access to your iPhone's downloaded applications will depend on the availability of a cellular and/or WiFi network for purposes of allowing your iPhone to connect to the Internet.

Pandora App: The Pandora App (free) lets you play music from the Pandora music service through the Clarion CZ702 using your connected Apple iPhone, via the USB/Dock cable supplied with your iPhone. The Clarion CZ702 provides control over the Pandora music service and displays Artist, Album, and Song information. Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may need to reset the head unit and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to wait until a newer software update is available.

Auxiliary Input: The CZ702 feature a front panel 3.5mm auxiliary input so you connect your external portable audio player or portable satellite radio receiver to this head unit. You can set the Auxiliary input sensitivity level to Low or High to match the volume output of your connected external audio device.

    Radio Functions

AM/FM Tuner: The Clarion CZ702 is equipped with a built-in AM/FM tuner offering manual, seek, & preset tuning. 18 FM station presets and 6 AM station presets can stored. Stations can be stored manually or automatically. Preset scan receives the stations stored in the unit's preset memory in order. This function is useful when searching for a desired preset station. You can store one radio station in Instant Station Recall (ISR) memory and recall it from any mode (except Power Off). Once the ISR station has been recalled, you cannot tune to another station without first disengaging the ISR function. You can, however, switch to another source.

HD Radio Ready: With an optional Clarion THD301 HD Radio tuner (020THD301, sold separately), you will be able to receive digital AM/FM broadcasts from local stations where available. This new technology will significantly improve audio quality and reception, as well as include information such as artist name and song titles or traffic news, viewable on the receiver's display. The add-on HD Radio tuner includes iTunes Tagging capability, so if you hear a song on the radio that you like, you can tag it to download later from the iTunes Store. HD Radio is the system for digital AM and FM broadcasting in the U.S. More than 2,000 radio stations are broadcasting their primary signals in digital HD Radio technology, as a free service. Go to to check for HD Radio stations in your area.

SiriusXM Ready: The Clarion CZ702 comes ready for SiriusXM programming with access to XM & Sirius Satellite Radio stations. Thanks to its proprietary SiriusXM Connect port, you can add the optional SXV200V1 SiriusXM Connect tuner and receive more than 150 channels of exclusive programming directly from SiriusXM, via the "SiriusXM All Access" package (subscription required). Visit for a complete list of subscription options & channel guide. Additional features of the SXV200 SiriusXM Connect tuner include:

    • Information such as Channel Name, Artist Name, & Song Title can be viewed on the head unit's display
    • Category Search feature lets you search for channels within a certain genre or category
    • Up to 18 SiriusXM Satellite Radio station presets
    • Artist/Song Alert notifies you when your favorite artist or song is playing
    • Replay feature lets you pause, fast-forward, or rewind up to 30 minutes of live content
    • iTunes Tagging for your connected iPod or iPhone
    • Channels containing unsuitable content for children can be blocked

Note: SiriusXM Satellite Radio operates on the XM Network. However, you can easily add this SiriusXM tuner to an existing Sirius or XM account for a Multi-Radio Discount Plan.

    Audio Section

24 Bit D/A Converter: The Clarion CZ702 utilizes a 24-bit digital to analog converter for superior sound quality.

MOSFET Amplifier: The Clarion CZ702 employs a MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor) power amplifier capable of delivering 45W (Peak) x 4ch of high quality sound with superior linearity & less distortion than conventional power amps, even with the volume cranked up.

    • CEA2006 Specs: 19 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 watts total)

Note: The power specifications for the CZ702 are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers.

5V/6ch RCA Output: The Clarion CZ702 features 6ch/5V RCA line level outputs (Front/Rear/Sub). With 3 sets of RCA outputs(2-channels each), you are free to add external power amplifiers to create a more powerful, sophisticated audio system. What's more, the 5-volt output assures a pure, high quality signal for the entire sound system. The non-fading subwoofer preamp output features an independent level control (+/-6) and phase adjustment (normal/reverse).

Speaker System Setup: The Clarion CZ702 lets you select between a Normal, 2-Way, or 3-Way speaker system configuration.

    Speaker System Speaker Configuration
Normal Front speakers (2ch) Rear speakers (2ch) Subwoofer (2ch)
    2-Way Midrange speakers (2ch) Tweeters (2ch) Rear speakers (2ch)
    3-Way Midrange speakers (2ch) Tweeters (2ch) Subwoofer (2ch)

Digital Time Alignment w/ 3-Way Crossover: Digital Time Alignment assures that the sound from each speaker reaches the listener at the same time for perfect sonic imaging. The 3-way crossover separates the sound into different bands to match each speaker's output range. The head unit provides various settings based your system's speaker configuration.

BeatEQ Plus: In addition to providing 3 preset equalization patterns (Bass Boost, Impact and Excite) Clarion's Beat EQ Plus allows you freedom to customize each pattern by dividing the sound spectrum into 5 bands. You can finely adjust the sound to your liking, depending on the genre of music, for a more fulfilling listening experience. BeatEQ settings are applied to all sources.

    BeatEQ Plus Frequency Q-Factor Level
    Band 1 20-20k or through 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 -12 to + 12 dB
    Band 2
    Band 3
    Band 4
    Band 5

Magna Bass EX (Extend): The Magna Bass Extend feature does not adjust the low frequencies like the normal sound adjustment function, but emphasizes the deep bass frequencies to provide you with a dynamic sound. This circuit boosts bass at an ultra-low frequency of about 50Hz, creating a rich, deep, defined bass rather than the muddy, booming bass of a standard loudness control. What is more, boost levels are dependent on the system volume, resulting in balanced system response and dynamic bass reproduction.

Beep: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation. This function can be turned On or Off.

    Display Features

Detachable Face Security: This unit features Detachable Face Security. A hard plastic face-case is included to protect the head unit's face when detached. A face-fixing screw is supplied for making the face non-detachable, if desired. An optional soft face case (142DFC1X, sold separately) can also be purchased for this unit

H.M.I. Design: Clarion's superior H.M.I. (Human-Machine Interface) Design features an easy-to-use rotary volume control and easy-to-read illuminated buttons on the face which are laid out in an asymmetrical design to place the most used features within a specific area for ease of use and less user distraction.

728-Variable Color Illumination: The CZ702 is equipped with a high visibility, 728 Variable-Color Illumination LCD that allows numbers and characters to be displayed clearly in all lighting conditions. You can select the exact color you want for the head unit's display and button illumination to match your car's instrument panel or personal preference.

Illumination Dimmer: The receiver's display automatically dims to a preset brightness when the vehicle's headlights are turned on. The wiring harness includes an orange/white lead that should be connected to the vehicle's parking light circuit in order for the dimmer feature to operate.

Screen Saver: This unit is provided with a Screen Saver function which allows you to show various kinds of patterns and characters in the operation status indication area of the display in a random order. You can turn this function on or off. If the button operation is performed with the screen saver function "On", the operation display corresponding to the button operation is shown for about 30 seconds and then the display returns to the screen saver display.

    Remote Control

Wireless Remote: The CZ702 comes supplied with an IR remote control (RCX001) for wireless operation of the CD player. The remote operates off of a single CR3025 Lithium cell 3-volt battery. The remote does not offer Bluetooth hands-free communication control, but does not provide playback operation for Bluetooth audio streaming.

Steering Wheel Remote Compatibility: The head unit features an OEM steering wheel remote control input on the rear of the unit that lets you keep your vehicle's factory radio steering wheel remote controls when used with an optional steering wheel audio control adapter (sold separately). Please consult Crutchfield's Outfit My Car to see if your vehicle is compatible.

As long as you're using MP3 and WMA without DRM restrictions - it should work fine. [ JUSTIN  Feb 03, 2015 ]
The USB connection is on a cable that I routed under the dash so I could access it from the drivers seat. It worked great with all different sizes of drives both formats, using folders or straight files [ PAUL W  Feb 03, 2015 ]
The USB cable that's preattached to the unit is long enough to go to the glove box so don't really need an extension unless you were planning on putting the USB access port elsewhere. With that said, I've used a 64GB USB thumb drive (formated as FAT32) with no issues with this unit and works great. [ MICHAEL  Feb 03, 2015 ]
I have this clarion cx702 it has awesome sound it's s little confusing to figure out but once you do you'll love it and as far as sunlight yes it gets pretty bright and you can still read the display that also depends on the color you chose for the display but this unit had awesome sound quality [ Peyton  Jan 06, 2015 ]
DSW - I think what exterior options you add to it (amp and sub) will jazz up your system. Straight up 1 to 1, the Eclipse will out run the Clarion. However, the Clarion can handle the add-ons and make it sweeter than what you have. I once took mom's 74 Buick LaSabre with its AC Delco 5 push button/knob radio - added a good amp, thru in an 8" sub, and dropped a couple of 6x9s in back ledge, 6x8 in the doors with 2" tweeters in the corners of the dash and I had a sweet ride with white walls!! In today's dollars - your $1,100 Eclipse would be like dropping $2,500 with the Clarion. You would probably blow your windows!!! As for the the "BLUE" display, I've installed units in a Wrangler (removable roof) - Trans AM (t-tops) - Sportrac (solid roof) and recently my kid's Ranger. I've have "Rage Red" - "Crystal White" and "Ice Blue" displays. The red and blue are the best during the day and they all are good at night - HOWEVER - the blue is the easiest on the eyes at night. Plus it has a remote.....Learn the buttons good enough and you don't need to look at it during the day OR night. I don't think you will be disappointed with the blue. [ JEFF  Jan 06, 2015 ]
The led is easily readable in my car .The sound quality is as good as the Kenwood bt952hd it replaced. The only downside is the FM tuner is pretty weak [ nicholas  Jan 06, 2015 ]
No this is not the case in my car. You must understand that the dynamics of your car is what directs sunlight onto a receiver. Fortunately Clarion has deep set the display(It cast it's own shadow on the receiver"). Why in the picture is there a glare? That's Bad internet picture marketing on this unit. There is your answer. Crutchfield Knows their shit. They are solid. [ KENNETH  Jan 09, 2015 ]
Yes, its a bit difficult to read in bright sunlight. I have my display color set to red to match the other lights in my console area. There are probably hundreds of different hues you can change it to though...maybe a lighter color (white) would be easier to read in full sun. Its not a big enough issue for me to call it a setback as I mostly control my music from my phone and the buttons are still easy to read. [ ANTOINETTE  Jan 08, 2015 ]
depends on color at time of sunlight hittting but yes does get hard to see but otherwisw very happy with features and performance so far [ david  Jan 06, 2015 ]
Hi Scott W, I bought the Clarion CZ702 a few weeks ago, and while I am very pleased with it, it is very hard to see in direct sunlight. Sometimes I'll put my hand over the display to help me see a bit better on a bright sunny day, mainly to change sources and such. [ Tommy Malcom  Jan 06, 2015 ]
Scott, Unless you are installing it in a convertible (and it would still project fine) - the blue will be good. I've installed a few receivers (jeep with top off - trans am with t-tops - sportrac w/solid roof) with the most recent being my kid's '97 Ranger that he bought from grampa. I've had red - crystal white - and blue as far as displays go.....with red and blue the easiest to see during the day - all of them illuminate good at night.....HOWEVER - the blue is the easiest on the eyes at night. I personally don't think you be disappointed with the blue. [ JEFF  Jan 06, 2015 ]
Me encanta cumplió con todas mis expectativas y suena súper bien tremenda calidad de sonido 5 estrellas. [ David  Jan 06, 2015 ]
I'm not a 100% on those specifics but I'm was quite surprised by the quality I was getting out of both phone calls and streaming music via Bluetooth over by my IPhone 6 and 4S. As long as the specs say it will support the device I believe you will be pleasantly surprised with the results. [ adam  Jan 05, 2015 ]
Jeremy, I purchased the Clarion for a 2003 chevy truck. Unfortunately, since it doesnt have steering wheel controls and since I use an iphone I do not have any experience to answer your question well. The bluetooth audio quality with my iphone has been excellent and I have not needed to use the usb port. I would guess that with usb or bluetooth your steering wheel functionality would work and your phone should charge when plugged in to the usb, but don't know for sure. I have been very satisfied with this unit. Hope this helps [ Jeff  Jan 05, 2015 ]
Thanks everyone! After hearing your experience using bt and doing a little more research, I'm more confident that it'll sound just as good. I went ahead and ordered this reciever, and can't wait to try it out. [ Jeremy  Jan 05, 2015 ]
Not through usb. That usb connector seems strickly designed for Apple. But android functionality seems fine through bluetooth. At this day and age. I don't see why you want to stream through hard wire anyways. Bluetooth is just more instant and convenient. You can still use that usb for charging. The usb is only 2.0. You would more likely get that 3.0 sound quality through BT. Hope I answered your question. [ sophyrath  Jan 04, 2015 ]
Not sure about the USB and being able to charge the phone but I use Pandora through bluetooth all the time and it sounds just as good as the Cd's I play. [ Jamie  Jan 04, 2015 ]
Actually, Bluetooth quality is just as good, if not better, than the audio through usb. But yes, this unit can control a device through the usb cable. [ Brandon  Jan 04, 2015 ]
I have an iPhone 5c , on my device it supports charging , streaming and control ( I did not need the steering wheel adapter , 1990 Buick Reatta.) . I am happy with sound quality as a stand alone unit using factory speakers , but I haven't installed my amp and other gear yet , but am looking forward to it . Unlike other units I have used via Bluetooth this unit gives on screen data from phone , just a plus , sound quality not terrible when using Bluetooth if I forget my phone cable . [ WILLIAM K  Jan 04, 2015 ]
My gut feeling would be yes, but I have not tried to do this exact thing, so don't base this solely on my advice. -I've only used iPhone through it. -USB vs. Bluetooth shouldn't matter for controls. -I believe the device will change songs via USB with the unit skip track button. -I would imagine the steering wheel would trigger the same, but I have not done this myself. [ Sean  Jan 04, 2015 ]
Call clarion the # should be on your owners manual [ Jerry  Dec 23, 2014 ]
This particular model does not have the ability to tune frequencies other than U.S. spec stations. But I don't think any of the CLARION radios offer that feature. [ Oscar  Dec 23, 2014 ]
No, it has a cable that plugs in the back that I put out the side to access from the passenger side of the radio. It is a great feature [ PAUL W  Dec 20, 2014 ]
There's no front USB, the USB cable goes from the back of the unit and the cord is long enough to have it hide in the glove box. As long as the thumb drive is formatted as a FAT32 and you put on MP3, WAV or non-DRM WMA files it will play back (I have a 16GB thumb drive with all the MP3s I like on it). Too long, didn't read: yes [ MICHAEL  Dec 19, 2014 ]
No. The only input in the front is the headphone jack. It does have a USB cable that runs from the back of the receiver which can be routed to the front for thumb drive use. [ Dave U.  Dec 19, 2014 ]
Yes it will play a thumb drive, but the port is on a wire coming out of the back of the unit. I leave mine in the glovebox. [ ROBERT H  Dec 19, 2014 ]
the connection is on the rear of the unit whick makes for a cleaner install. It comes with a usb extension cable that you can route to an area such as the glove box to hide it. The front has a aux input connection (earphone type) on the front which is visible in the picture. If you look at the manual on the crutchfield site, you may find pictures of the ports on the unit. [ BART  Dec 19, 2014 ]
I did my own research and I looked at other care stereos - and it seems that a lot of factory stereos occupy 2 DINs and aftermarket stereos occupy one, so my situation is clearly not an isolated one. I noticed there were vehicle-specific installation kits - I'm sure Crutchfield has got one for me. [ Chris  Mar 23, 2014 ]
The ability to retain steering wheel controls with aftermarket receivers will be determined by the receiver you are using and the vehicle you have. For full information on this type of integration (including the parts you will need) please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy  Mar 21, 2014 ]  Staff
Essentially. I am able to adjust up to 5 bands at my choosing. So you're limited to tweaking only 5 of about 8-9 bands that you can choose from. Selections are somewhere around these frequencies: 20hz, 100hz, 200hz, 1khz, 2khz, 5khz, 10khz, 12.5khz and 20khz. (I may be slightly off) If you're Just looking for a head unit upgrade, this is a good model, however if you're looking to get serious you will want to go with a separate equalizer rather than on-board EQ. [ JUSTIN  Jan 12, 2014 ]
You would need to buy a SiriusXM Radio adapter and subscription to SiriusXM Radio. You search for the adapter by typing 'Sirius' into Crutchfield's search bar and then looking at adapters. [ JUSTIN  Nov 22, 2013 ]
You need to purchase the Sirius adapter from Crutchfield. [ PAUL W  Nov 20, 2013 ]
Just a compatible Sirius tuner and that's it. Well except for the serious subscription. [ ROB  Nov 20, 2013 ]
Note that your Clarion unit has the "SiriusXM" logo on the head unit's bezel. You need to buy the vehicle tuner specific to that logo (Not Sirius, not XM Radio, but SiriusXM). The Crutchfield website has it if you do a search for "siriusxm sxv200v1 tuner" which is a $50 unit. You will still need to contact SiriusXM and subscribe for their service. [ JIN  Nov 20, 2013 ]
You will need the SiriusXM SXV200V1 Tuner Tuner over at if you haven't already gotten it. [ MICHAEL  Nov 20, 2013 ]
Can not help you-I am happy with my CDs and radio...check the manual [ PAUL  Nov 20, 2013 ]
