6-disc CD Changer
Our take on the Clarion DCZ625 by Crutchfield's Guest Writer
Six discs of music are at your beck and call with the Clarion DCZ625 CD changer. And you'll enjoy superior performance, thanks to a zero-bit detector that eliminates noise when no audio signal is present (as in between tracks of a CD) and the oil-damped suspension that keeps your music virtually skip-free.
With its 120-degree mounting angle range and ultra-compact size, the DCZ625 will fit in just about any vehicle. It's the compatible 6-disc changer for any Clarion receiver with a model number that includes the letter "Z".Details:
- oil-damped suspension
- 120-degree mounting angle range
- zero-bit detector mute circuit
- plays CD-Rs and CD-RWs
- frequency response 5-20,000 Hz
- signal-to-noise ratio 105 dB

CeNET Connection: CeNET connection allows multiple changers to be connected to CeNET compatible receivers. This connection also provides balanced audio line transmission and dynamic noise canceling for exceptional resistance to radiated noise. A CeNET Y-adapter (sold separately) is needed for connection of multiple changers.
CD Text: When used with a compatible head unit, CD Text for discs played in the changer can be viewed on the head unit's display.
Optical Output: This is not a standard Toslink optical output. This output connects this changer to a compatible Clarion digital signal processor. A compatible optical cable must be purchased separately. Clarion's fiber optic cables are available in 5 foot (item number 020DCA002) and 16 foot (item number 020DCA001) lengths.
Mounting: The CD changer may be mounted at any angle from -15 degrees below horizontal to 15 degrees beyond vertical. There are two three-position installation selector levers (one on each side of the changer) that need to be set to "H" (horizontal) for -15 to +30 degree mounting, "45" for 30 to 60 degree mounting, or "V" (vertical) for 60 to 105 degree mounting.
Suspension System: The DCZ625 has a spring-loaded silicon oil-dampened suspension system for skip-resistant performance.
Zero-Bit Detector: This circuit mutes the output when no signal is detected (i.e. between tracks). Cosmetics: The changer has a manual flip down magazine access door with magnetic catch.
