Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great quality product. Handles high frequency sound great. I have them mounted in my dash of my celica. They sound great with a set of 5X7 in the back. My only problem with them is they do not produce a very deep sound, but really they are not meant to. I would recommend these to anyone.

1999 Saab 9-3
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I gave these to my brother for Christmas to replace the factory speakers in his car. These sound much, much better! Sometimes it can be tough finding aftermarket speakers that fit properly, due to different depth or frame dimensions, but these were a perfect fit in his 1999 Saab 9-3 dashboard, so if you're looking for speakers for a Saab 9-3 you can order these with confidence.

Fits 1977 MGB... only if you are installing in new door panel

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Purchased these to replace the ancient (OEM??) speakers in my 1977 MGB Roadster. Because I was fitting into a new door panel I could cut a smaller hole than the original size. These would be TOO SMALL if you are trying to retro fit in original door panel... The sound is strong across all pitch's. Supplemented these with two Pioneer 7/8" tweeters up the door to bring the sound up the cockpit. Certainly good value.

excellent speakers, in my saab front dash they work well with my blau 6.5's in my trunk (and dual 12" subs...). Wire gets THICKER the lower the gauge rating, 10-12 guage wire is very thick. I believe the wire included with these (or any) speakers is 22 gauge or so, very common very thin wire that will work just fine but for high power handling, better reliability or "audiophile" installations you could do with much thicker wire (such as 12 gauge). Very thin wire is included. I think since these are replacement speakers most people will not be replacing the wire anyway, just dropping these into their dash or whatever. There's really no other reason to by 3.5" speakers other than exact size replacement for factory speaker upgrading. if you want better mid-bass, higher power handling and lower distortion, get 5 1/4" or 5.5" speakers instead and put them in your kick panel or door for better soundstage and fewer plate reflection artifacts. For their purpose though, these are very good speakers. And they fit easily, not like those polks (although I'd put the polks slightly higher in sound quality, just unusable for most installations).

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers sound great and are a direct fit for a '94 MAZDA MIATA headrest speaker. Crutchfield does not have it in their system that way. Remove the old speakers and the holes line up directly, tighten up the bolts and you are done, 15 mins a headrest. no cutting necesary.

These speakers took very little time install in my 1993 Ford Mustang Gt convertible. The sound awesome and pack a nice punch with the factory amp. I would highly recommend these for mustang owners.I have yet to install the gtx 572's and the gtx 562's which will totally complete the system.

1981 Volkswagen Rabbit
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I just put these in a 1981 rabbit diesel that I've restored. Had to do alot of modification to the dash location to make these work and look nice. Other then that they sound great. I have a Kenwood 2035 receiver and Polk db570's in the rear. Also the speaker wire included with these are pretty weak(10 or 12 gauge). I would recommend useing a thicker gauge wire.

Features

Injected Polypropylene Cones: The injected polypropylene cones are lightweight and mechanically rigid, allowing the speakers to play louder with less power. Acoustically inert, the cones do not "color" the sound of the music, giving you accurate musical reproduction. Each woofer uses a foam surround.

1" Mylar Tweeters: Each speaker features a 1" Mylar semi-dome tweeter for clean, accurate highs.
