Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Love everything so far! Very easy setup. Especially like the speaker setup process.
Pros: Easy setup Plenty of device connections

With all the recent advances in audio and video technology, you might feel like you're missing out on some key entertainment assets. Whether you're setting up your first home theater or upgrading an existing system, the Denon AVR-S910W comes loaded with up-to-date features you need to experience movies and music to the fullest. All of its HDMI connections can pass 4K Ultra HD video, including copy-protected content, and the receiver can even upscale older video sources to 4K so you'll enjoy sparkling picture clarity no matter what you watch. You'll get clear, full sound from a range of audio formats, including high-resolution music files. And with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Apple AirPlay all built-in, you won't be stuck listening to the same tunes over and over. Denon's handy remote control app lets you use your phone or tablet to control your system.
A technology that just made its debut in home theater receivers last year, Dolby Atmos creates the most lifelike, captivating surround sound of any audio format we've heard to date. If you're watching a plane take off onscreen, your ears will follow it down the runway along with your eyes, and as it roars directly overhead you might swear your hair is blowing back. The AVR-S910W supports a 5.1.2 Atmos setup. If you're ready to explore this new dimension in home theater sound, you'll just need to add a pair of in-ceiling speakers to your five-channel system, or pick up a pair of Atmos enabled upward-firing speakers to project sound off your ceiling and create the height effects that make an Atmos system so riveting.
Denon will release a firmware update that will give this receiver DTS:X surround sound, an upcoming format which will use object-based processing similar to Dolby Atmos and overhead speakers for immersive home theater.
The AVR-S910W gives you plenty of ways to enjoy different tunes through your home speakers. You can quickly access all your old favorites from your own digital music library via your home network, while Bluetooth lets you stream anything you listen to on your phone or tablet. Anytime you feel like expanding your horizons, you'll be able to tune in to countless Internet radio stations from around the globe. And there's also support for Pandora®, Spotify® Connect and SiriusXM Internet radio for easy playback of your favorite music services.
With all of the listening choices you get with the AVR-S910W, it only makes sense to spread your music beyond the boundaries of your living room. If you're happy with 5.2-channel surround sound in your home theater, just assign the unused surround back channels to a pair of speakers in a second zone. Then you can enjoy music in a different room, or even outdoors, while others watch a movie with surround sound in the main room.
A second HDMI output lets you watch the same video source in your main zone and a second room. Start a movie in your living room and finish it in your bedroom or kitchen. Or watch the same content on a TV and projector in the same room.
Denon has made sure you won't spend hours buried in a manual trying to figure out how to set up the AVR-S910W. With the Setup Assistant, connecting your equipment and optimizing system settings is a matter of following easy on-screen instructions that take you step-by-step through the entire process with clear illustrations. The Audyssey calibration system uses a microphone to analyze your room's acoustics, so your speakers' settings will be configured for the best possible sound in their environment.

Love everything so far! Very easy setup. Especially like the speaker setup process.
Pros: Easy setup Plenty of device connections
Cons: None yet
As the first receiver failed within a week of installation it's hard to rate this product. I will say however that the Tech team at Crutchfield is experienced and knowledgable and quickly sent out a replacement receiver that I've just installed. I'm very pleased with the Tech Team and their quick response in diagnosing the failure and more importantly getting a replacement receiver to me expeditiously. Service and support is the best.
Pros: Timely delivery. Excellent tech support!! Replacement product sent quickly.
Cons: Product failed within a week of installation
This is my first Denon receiver. Have had it about a months and really like it so far.
Pros: Nice layout on the front panel of the unit. Lots of HDMI inputs on back. Starts up quickly.
Cons: No paper Users Manuel, must down load it on line.
Sound and picture are great. A bit harder to set up than I expected, but I guess nothing is very easy.
Pros: Excellent variable volume, excellent picture, excellent balance among speakers.
Cons: Cannot use sound from both the TV and the AV system at the same time. Second area was harder to set up than I expected.
Honestly I don't know if I will shop for electronics any other way, you guys were helpful knowledgeable and provided economical alternatives to the kids at the big buy store that were just trying to push me into a sale. The system performs as promised and I couldn't be happier. Thank you!
Pros: The feature set of this product is fantastic, and changes are easy to make, I don't need the help of my kids to turn it on and find my sources. I love it.
Cons: To date none!
The Denon AVR-S910 has offered exceptional sound distribution and HDMI connectivity that allows all components to be listed to at their highest quality.
Pros: Great receiver.
Fairly good receiver
Pros: Very functional
Cons: Not user friendly
I was a bit overwhelmed when I received the receiver. This was a big difference from my previous 12 year old receiver/amplifier. I was concerned that no instruction manual came with the receiver. However that was put to bed quickly when I went on line a to get a feel of what was needed and then began the process. Very simple to setup. The new technology was a real eye opener and has made listening an improvement. This was a good investment in listening enjoyment.
Pros: Great capabilities/features and easy setup. More options than I knew what to do with.
Cons: No instruction manual and some were not clear on the options and what to select.
As with most other reviews, I think you get a lot for you money but could be a bit more powerful. Was a good replacement for my OLD Onkyo.
Pros: Easy to setup, sounds great, full featured
Cons: Could use a bit more oomph.
I have had this now for almost 2 months and have used it just about 6 days a week so here is my personal impression of this receiver. This is hooked up to a Definitive Technology SSA-50 non powered sound bar (wall mounted) and an older Klipsch 12" Sub. This is in a Master Bedroom. First thing a negative, when running for extensive periods it runs extremely hot and during a winter storm after a few Blu rays back to back (which requires more power for effect etc) It would actually go into clipping mode from over heating. Mind you this is not in a rack or cabinet it is on top of a cabinet in open air. In any case, I put an AC Infinity fan on top as exhaust problem solved. Sound however is great, this is replacing an older Sony STR-DA3000ES and sound is noticeably better, not huge but noticeable. Power however is on the light side. Normal HD Dolby Digital TV broadcast, this is set at about 60% for normal listening, a Blu Ray Movie (using Sony BDP-S7200) 70%. Old Sony, TV 40% Blu Ray 45-50% power. With this being said it runs well hot and without fan it does overheat after some time (6HRS +). Fans are cheap so it is still worth it but I am not sure how well this would do in a cabinet situation. Again for all the features you do get for the price I am still happy and I have owned a few higher end Denon receivers and a slew of Sony ES ones over the years. For me a bedroom or smaller room setup is adequate, I personally would never use this in a main room setup, it needs more power.
Pros: Very good sound (for the price) 4K Up-scaling, Wifi, Atmos ready. Higher powered units available for main room setups or Marantz (sister company) receivers with better guts and power again available. 4K scaling works, tried with 4K Sony TV
Cons: Not enough power (for me), runs hot when used extensively. Not sure if there is enough power for a full speaker setup (7.2 or 5.1 or 5.2 with Atmos) in a main room surround setup. 4K up-scaling is good, X1 processor in my 4K Sony TV is better at up-scaling then this receiver (output from receiver needs to be set to 1080p 24) If set to 4K receiver does the up-scaling. I'm sure higher end Denon or Marantz models up-scale better but it is still fair.
Would like phone app control, had some trouble hooking up the sub. Provided instructions & information are limited and poor. Had to call tech support 2x to get hookup information. But it does function well and sounds good. It would be nice to be able to turn TV on/off with the receiver remote. Either does not have that feature, or I don't know how to work it (and there are no instructions).
Pros: easy to set up, sounds good
Cons: instruction manual is sparse, display is dated
Very nice receiver
Pros: Great features, Bluetooth, WIFI, , Easy to hookup.
Cons: Maybe could use a little more power
great reciever does every thing i need in for my 4k samsung tv 2.2 ready plenty of power
Pros: does what you need plenty of power great features
Cons: none that i can find
I previously owned a different brand receiver. Although I thought my sound was good, it wasn't until I connected the Denon that I realized it wasn't as good as I thought. For example, I'm getting "lows" that I never heard before with my previous receiver using the same speakers and sub.
Pros: Great sound, very easy to configure. Ordered from Crutchfield and had the receiver on my door step a day earlier than estimated. Great service!!
Very easy to set up and operate; easily drives 7 speakers and 2 subwoofers to fill a large playroom. Works well with new 65" Samsung TV, Apple TV and Sony BluRay. Purchased to upgrade 10+ year old Denon that didn't have any HDMI connections - this new one is much easier to use.
Pros: Easy to set up and operate Remote is intuitive as well Lots of HDMI connections
Cons: None noted
I was replacing an Onkyo that I had been using for 4 years. It worked fine but I started to hear some occasional popping that concerned me, plus it just didn't give me the wow I was looking for in my home theater sound system. Having had a Denon a few receivers past I decided to look into that brand again. Daisy was an amazing resource for helping me hone in on this model and it didn't disappoint. The speaker calibration with the Audyssey setup is for my money hands down the best system and we now experience clarity of the voice track that we never had before plus a bass that if we let it can shake pictures off the walls and 5.1 surround where you experience movement in the sound that tracks perfectly with what's going on, on screen. We set up the other 2 channels in a Zone 2 configuration in a separate room. We had a little hitch in getting that set up, but a 5 minute call to Russ in Crutchfield Tech support got that up and running perfectly. Thanks Crutchfield and Daisy for delivering that wow we were looking for. I would recommend downloading the full owners manual as a resource for help from setup to taking advantage of this units capability as you explore its functionality.
Pros: Great 5.1 surround, very clear voice, easy set up and use.
Cons: One little hitch in the input assign for zone 2 setup, an easy fix. Definitely take advantage of Crutchfield Tech support. That's why they are there.
This thing does what is advertised. Works great right out of the box. A few tweaks and...amazing. Simple enough that my wife can use it (totally confused by our last unit, a Onkyo) and it sounds great! The price was amazing as well. Thanks Crutchfield!
Pros: media streaming, ease of use, simple on screen controls, easy interface
easy to set up.quality apparant.
Pros: excellent performance
Cons: no user manual significantly detracts from my opinion of company.
The receiver delivers rock solid performance and is a breeze to setup right out of the box. It has clean sound and the latest in technology,Blue Tooth,Internet radio, plenty of flexibility to fit any Home Theatre needs, plus is ready for Dolby's next generation dts-x which will be available in 2016 as a free update.
Pros: A solid performer inside and out
Bought this to replace an Onkyo TX-NR809 that was going to my PC sound set-up... Once I had everything connected and ran the Audyssey set-up, I thought I had new speakers, even though they are fantastic, minus the sub; Yamaha NS-8HX floors, NS-2HX surrounds, NS-C5HX center (the 6-ohm, bi-wire, maple cabinet, white-spruce cone editions) and a Klipsch KSW-12 (1st gen). I heard new highs, mids and lows coming from my floors and surrounds I had not heard, from same source, when they were connected to the Onkyo... And the LFE/sub! WOW! It's like I got a new subwoofer! The KSW-12 is by no means a high-end sub, but the S910W somehow brings the LFE and low-end to life, like I've never heard before from any other AV receiver I've owned; this is the fourth receiver I've had connected to the KSW-12. The S910W is very straight-forward when it comes to setting up too. In fact, it's the easiest receiver I've setup to date, not to mention having nicely marked connections on the rear panel. For the price, this is a winner... I'd love to hear and see what the high-end Denon's can do!
Pros: Easy set up Clearly marked connections and ports Clean and modern looking unit Clean, simple and easy to use remote INCREDIBLE sound quality and features for it's price-point! Easy to navigate on-screen menu
This tuner is not impressive. Overall, i want to return it. I feel like this product was made to look good on the web page but under-perform in real life. For 3 days i thought this tuner didn't even come with a remote until i pulled the bottom Styrofoam out of the box and the remote fell out of it. There's no directions on how to use this thing. The mic sound setup is a 15 minute torture test playing annoyingly loud popping noises from my speakers, which the results were terrible. I have one sitting position, not 6 like the tuner assumes. So it tries to balance it all based on bad info to begin with. The setup would go a lot faster if it didnt even have this at all. Just let me tell it what speakers i have hooked up and go. When i played a movie, i had to move my speakers around so that the sound was balanced. The text on the remote is hard to read because they used grey text on black instead of white. The speaker setup process constantly warns you "you cant do this if you do that". Update 1.13.2016 -I was wrong that it doesn't have an equalizer. It does. I would recommend turning off the Audyssey option and using the build in EQ and then also go into the tone control and boost the treble and bass by +6. This sounds nice like I expected. In fact, it sounds super clear. I'm very impressed by the sound quality now.
Pros: A lot of well marked connections. The outside looks impressive. A decent sized dial for the volume control. Assigning the coax inputs for the PlayStation 2 went well.
Cons: The Denon iOS app only has useless options: edit device buttons, set max volume, name zones, on/off for app sounds, and demo mode. No real tuner controls. My other cheap tuner puts out more bass that this. It's like the sound quality is from the 60s. Where's the bass? The tuner wouldn't let me have the rear surround be hooked to the rear surround connectors, they had to be in the center surround. Read surround is reserved for more front speakers. No radio station preset buttons.
Replaced a defective Yamaha RX-V473 receiver that had hdmi handshake issues with my Samsung LED tv (not 4K). I read the review on this receiver from the wirecutter.com, Crutchfield, Amazon, and Best Buy and finally decided this is the one for me. The receiver is super easy to setup, has incredible sound, and has a clean, simple UI that makes it easy for all members in my family to use. I am delighted with this receiver and glad to be back with Denon.
Upgraded my ailing and out of date Harmon Kardon with this unit. What a difference! Easy set up with on screen assistance. Very user friendly. The sound is fantastic and very easy to adjust with the on-screen menu to personal preferences or different movie or TV content. Researched receivers and their reviews for a couple of months before settling on this one. I think I made a good choice.
Pros: Sound quality, ease of setup, user friendly controls
Cons: Could not get Direct TV remote to turn the 910 on or off. None of the Samsung codes worked.
Works great! Replaced my Pioneer VSX-50 with this receiver, and it's been a great improvement.
Very nice A/V receiver, it is everything I was looking for in a Home Network A/V Receiver.
Pros: Plenty of HDMI connection for all my devices.
Cons: When watching DirecTV, when I changing channel I lose the audio and have to turn off the receiver and turn it back on to get the audio back.
My wonderful old Sony GX99ES purchased in 1988 lost the center channel and was not compatible with modern HDMI and Smart TVs but worked well enough. This unit's price was very good and reviews were very good so I decided to replace the Sony. Buying from Crutchfield was very pleasant and helpful. Two on line chats answered some questions. The salesperson was pleasant, helpful, and professional. My address number got inputted wrong (perhaps my fault) and customer care quickly changed UPS so the box got here on time. Good packaging outside and Denon packaging was really well done and neat. Unit worked out of the box and set up was pretty easy. Spent a lot of time on the internet with the on line manual and printed many pages to facilitate setup. How nice it would be if manuals came with the product. However, the manual was well written and informative allowing for the easy setup. The read me first manual (very small and simple) wasn't clear enough to start the setup without going for the complete manual. However I found the on screen setup to resolve many of my concerns. The lack of a manual is the only negative so far and the unit works and sounds wonderful. Very pleased with the unit and Crutchfield. Highly recommended unit and vendor.
Pros: Good price Easy purchase from Crutchfield; fast delivery, good packaging Good customer service Good looking unit and sounds wonderful
Cons: Read me first manual not complete enough Really would have liked to have the complete manual with the product Not easy to have the online manual on the TV and do the settings that are required; must get the on line manual from the computer
Love the receiver. This was my second Denon after the first one quit on me after only 3 months. I would like to thank the Crutchfield staff specifically my product advisor for all her help, patience as I exchanged the Receivers. The tech support was superb and set up was a breeze. So far so good, I don't like the fact that Airplay is only Audio but I can live with that. I will update this review in 3 months.
Pros: Great sound, easy set up, great customer service from Crutchfield
Cons: Airplay only Audio. The Denon IOS App doesn't quite work and can be frustrating.
The AVR-1803 was wonderful (tho no HDMI at all)--until deciding to purchase a new AppleTV with no audio out--only HDMI. Amazing upgrade as far as fewer wires--so nice to have everything connected via HDMI. Using the last last two speaker terminals (as a powered Zone2) to send audio to other rooms is working beautifully. Use "All Zone Stereo" function to to hear the same signal in all rooms. Unit connects via airplay to the the computer housing all my music. (Yep, got to dump the airport express we'd had to use for that.)
Pros: Audyssey Setup is awesome. Zone 2 option. Setup is a clear and simple on screen. Lighter than older model for shelf weight. Crutchfield ships free to Alaska and offers instant $$ back when there had been a price reduction w/in 60 days after purchase.
Cons: Not a Con, really--since it works: "Digital signal audio input from the HDMI connector or digital audio connectors (OPTICAL/COAXIAL) cannot be played back. Use analog connections." (From Troubleshooting section of manual) -- not sure I understand this well enough--when I switch to "All Zone Stereo" I'm able to hear stereo via the Apple in all rooms. It is only connected via HDMI. So all is well anyway.
HEARD ABOUT DENON FOR YEARS, BUT ALWAYS OVER PRICED FOR MY BUDGET. THE 910 GOT GOOD REVIEWS FROM SEVERAL MAGS AND SO FAR IS LIVING UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS. SETUP WAS A BREEZE. I HAVE SIX OF THE HMDI HOOKED UP AND ALL DEVICES WORKING PROPERLY
Pros: LIVING UP TO ITS NAME
Cons: THE REMOTE DOES NOT HAVE A TV ON/OFF POWER BUTTON
My older Denon stopped passing video so I decided to upgrade. Setup is a breeze with the onscreen guide. Remote is simplified as is the overall unit. Having networking built in is a huge plus and streaming music and radio stations sound perfect. Airplay works well and using the remote app is a nice convenience. Sound is strong and rich and video looks great. Would like to have rca output for audio channels for remote speaker as the old models did. But overall a solid buy.
Pros: Easy setup and great sound
Cons: Not as widget heavy as some but you have everything you need and no fluff
I have fairly simplistic a/v needs and this works perfectly to address them! Larry helped me select a receiver and this arrived quickly. Setup was very easy with the on-screen setup tutorial and the device is working flawlessly and sounds terrific! I will be attaching my new TiVo Bokt this afternoon!
Pros: Easy to setup
Cons: About $100 more than I wanted to spend
Rich, , excellent sound. Quality construction and setup instructions. HDMI connections are flawless. Easy to use, with adequate sound and video options. Very pleased with unit and with the usual excellent Crutchfield buying experience. Highly recommended.
Pros: Sound, video and build excellent. Setup flawless. Easy to use menu system.
Cons: Could use a few more pre-set sound fields.
We had originally purchased the Onkyo NR737, which was a little less expensive and had more power. But, we returned it after a couple days and finding out the shortcomings. We exchanged the Onkyo for this Denon which has much better control and flexibility with audio and video selections. If you want to listen to an online audio source and watch TV, no problem. Not so with the Onkyo. Denon also recognizes Apple products with the USB port and Onkyo does not. So, for really about the same money, the Denon is a much better choice in this class of receivers.
Pros: Great control over audio and video input selections.....mix and match as you see fit! Also, USB port is Apple friendly. Setup was very smooth and easy and I liked that Denon included a cardboard microphone tower for speaker calibration (small item, but an added convenience). Saved me from scrounging around for things to stack up!
Cons: Not sure why the integrated AirPlay doesn't support video (as a previous reviewer has also noted). I don't personally understand the benefit of audio only AirPlay is since it seems Bluetooth covers that. Guess I need to educate myself better on that topic.
Overall a great product. Easy setup and high quality sound. Love the Audissey tools. Leave the 4k video up scaling off as it does not work very well. AirPlay functionality is limited to audio only. Stick to apple TV for that.
Pros: Sound quality Easy setup Up to date HDMI spec (2.0a) Powerful outputs
Cons: 4k upscale ruins picture quality Limited AirPlay functionality

Discrete Amplification: The Denon AVR-S910W AV receiver features a powerful Class AB power amplifier section equipped with discrete high current power transistors. This discrete amplifier design delivers optimum realism and stunning dynamic range. By using high current, high power discrete power devices, the amplifier is able to easily drive high quality speakers. The AV receiver's seven channel Class AB amplifier is rated at 95-watts (into 8-ohms, at 20-20kHz, with 0.08% THD, driving 2 channels).
Amplifier Assignment: The AVR-S910W's seven discrete amplifier channels can be configured to accommodate your type of home theater setup.
Quad-Core 32-Bit DSP: Featuring an advanced quad-core 32-bit DSP processor, the AVR-S910W easily handles a wide variety of Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro logic audio formats.
Note: Dolby Digital and DTS listening modes can only be selected if your audio source is connected to the AV receiver via a digital audio connection (HDMI, optical, or coaxial). To enjoy true 7.1ch Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS-HD surround sound, the receiver must be connected to your Blu-ray player via HDMI.
Immersive Surround Sound: The Denon AVR-910W AV receiver goes beyond regular surround with the latest immersive surround sound formats - like Dolby Atmos, Dolby Surround, and DTS:X.
Audyssey Bronze: AVR-S910W features the Audyssey Bronze suite of powerful DSP features; including MultEQ, Dynamic Volume, and Dynamic EQ.
Denon Original Listening Modes: Denon's Original Listening Modes, combined with Dolby Digital/DTS/Dolby Pro Logic processing, produce more realistic, powerful sound effects for your movie and music sound tracks based on the type of content and your home theater setup. You can choose from the following:
Direct Listening Modes: The Denon AVR-S910W offers two Direct Listening Modes which bypass the receiver's tone & DSP processing for higher sound quality performance. Direct Mode provides playback of 2ch or Multichannel audio in its original form, without any surround or tone processing. Pure Direct Mode goes a step further by turning off the receiver's display and analog video circuitry to minimize the possibility of any noised being added to the audio signal.
Surround Parameters: You can adjust the following surround mode parameters:
Audio Enhancements: The Denon AVR-S910W receiver provides various audio enhancements to deliver a high-quality listening experience every time.
Level Adjustments: The AVS-910W provides the following level adjustments.
Volume Settings: The AVR-S910W offers the following volume settings.
Audio Inputs/Outputs: The Denon AV receiver offers a variety of analog and digital audio inputs/outputs.
HDMI 2.0a: The Denon AVR-S910W is equipped with eight HDMI 2.0a inputs (7 rear/1 front) and two HDMI 2.0a outputs, enabling connection to various HDMI compatible devices such as Blu-ray Disc players, satellite/cable boxes, game consoles, and HD video camcorders. The two HDMI outputs are parallel, so the same audio/video signal is output through both and can be used simultaneously. The HDMI jacks can accept and switch 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, or 4K video signals to a TV.
4K Video Upconversion: The Denon AV receiver's sophisticated video processor provides upconversion from standard definition (480i/480p) and high definition (720p/1080i/1080p) sources to 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160 pixels), which lets you connect all your analog (composite/component) or digital (HDMI) video sources to the AVR-S910W and then connect to your TV with just a single HDMI cable.
HDR (High Dynamic Range): In addition to handling 4K Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 resolution, the AVR-S910W also features HDR (High Dynamic Range) and Wide Color Gamut compatibility via its HDMI 2.0a jacks for full support of Ultra-HD Blu-ray. HDR provides enhanced picture quality by simultaneously enabling greater detail for both the dark and bright parts of an image. HDR reproduces a greater dynamic range of luminosity or brightness levels, creating greater contrast. This increased contrast reveals the subtle nuances of the image, from detailed blacks and shadows to the brightest whites and colors, plus greater depth.
HDMI Standby Pass-Through: When the AV receiver is in "Standby" mode and the HDMI Standby Pass-Through function is enabled, both audio/video streams from the receivers HDMI input will be output to your television, via the AV receiver's HDMI monitor output. Once the receiver is turned "On", only video will pass through the monitor output to your TV and the audio is directed to the receiver's speaker outputs.
Component & Composite Video: The receiver features two composite video inputs, two component video inputs, and one component video output. The composite video inputs are output to your television via the receiver's HDMI monitor output (there is no composite video output). The component video inputs can be output to your TV via the receiver's component monitor output or HDMI monitor outputs.
Video Select Function: This receiver can display video from a different source on your connected TV during audio playback from Tuner, USB, Network Music, or Bluetooth.
Wired or Wireless Network Connection: The Denon AVR-S910W receiver is fitted with a RJ-45 Ethernet (LAN) port to connect the receiver to your home network. The unit also offers built-in WiFi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n; 2.4GHz) for a wireless network connection; WPS, WEP, WPA-PSK (TKIP), WPA-PSK (AES), WPA2-PSK (AES) security protection is supported. Either network connection gives the receiver access to your DLNA music server and various online music services. Wireless network setup can be done via WPS button, Access Point Scan, Manual Setting, PIN Code, or even through your Apple iOS device (5.0+).
Note: Network setup requires that the receiver be connected to your TV via HDMI for display of the on-screen menu. The receiver's network setup cannot be accessed through its front-panel display
DLNA 1.5 Certified: The AVR-S910W is DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) 1.5 and Windows 7/8 compliant for audio and photo networking. This means it's easier for you to access and enjoy digital music and still-images (JPEG) stored on your Windows PC. You can use your PC to play high-bit rate music content through the A/V receiver and view still-images on your connected TV, or use the AVR-S910W's remote control to browse music & photo files on your hard drive. The receiver also supports ID3-Tag (ver.2) and META tag information; so song title, artist name, and album name can be displayed the unit's front-panel display or on-screen menu. In addition the unit will display Album Art on a connected television. The Denon AVR-S910W supports the following audio formats, sampling frequencies, and bit rates via its wired network connection.

The Denon 910W receiver seemed to give a great deal of features at this price point. I wanted a machine that had 4k upscaling, 4k 2.2 HDMI connections on all the inputs and outputs to give myself the best chance at being "future proof" at least for the next 3-5 years. [ John Dec 21, 2015 ]

No. You can use the 6th and 7th channels to power a pair of speakers in another zone but they do not offer the option of bi-amping the main speakers with this model. As of this posting, we have a great sale price on the Denon AVR-X2200 which does offer this option: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_033AVX2200/item.html I hope that helps! Hi Greg. Can u please elaborate your question. What exactly u want to pass through the network port. [ DEVEN D Jan 01, 2016 ]
I have my receiver set up with a wireless connection to my home network and then connected to our 4K Samsung via HDMI. The ARC connection has some weird quirks (remotes for one), so I switched to the non ARC port and used optical audio for the return. For us that seems to be a better user experience. The ARC thing isn't a Denon issue, but ARC in general. Network stability at the receiver is pretty good, not terrific. I've got the network control set to off in standby as it was locking up when set to on (and then we had to reset the receiver). One other observation - the online music apps, especially the sirius/xm interface is poor. Drops all the time and locks up frequently. [ Ralph Jan 01, 2016 ]
I assume the question is asking whether IP traffic is passed via the HDMI-ARC connection from the Denon to the 4K ARC input on the TV? I have this connectivity, and for a Samsung UHD, this does not provide IP network connectivity. [ Richard Jan 01, 2016 ]
There's no mention of any "limit" to how many remotes you can use in the Owner's Manual or our product research. It comes included with an IR remote and you can also control the receiver using your Apple iOS or Android device via the free Denon Remote App but it's not known how many devices can be used as a remote. If you want to find out for sure, your best bet would be to contact Denon's Support at 800-497-8921. [ Larry Nov 13, 2015 ] Staff
I don't believe so. Syncing is one way into the receiver. [ Barry Nov 10, 2015 ]
sorry, I do not use Bluetooth headphones. [ RITA Nov 10, 2015 ]
YES, THE DENON HAS BLUETOOTH CAPABILITIES. USE GOOD HEADPHONESSSS [ JULI Nov 10, 2015 ]
Sorry I am not sure. I haven't tried it. [ DEVEN D Nov 10, 2015 ]
