Overview

Our take on the Q-Forms Kick Panel Enclosures

Many award-winning sound-off competitors put their mid-woofers and tweeters in custom-built kick panel enclosures to get concert-quality stereo imaging. But why pay hundreds of dollars to an installer when you can do it yourself? Just mount your 6-1/2" component system in Q-Logic's Q-Forms kick panel enclosures, and your car speakers will deliver competition-quality imaging without the expensive price tag.

Q-Forms enclosures hold your speakers in an ideal position, angling them to maximize sound quality. Since the Q-Forms are located near your feet, the distance from your ears to each speaker becomes closer to equal, creating a superior soundstage. The driver's seat becomes the "sweet spot" for great stereo sound.

Note: The Q-Forms do not come with pre-cut holes, so you must cut holes in order to install your component speakers in the enclosures. Installing the Q-Forms panel enclosures in your vehicle may require relocation of the parking brake pedal or other vehicle parts. Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It's going to add some much needed depth to sound of my single cab truck. A durable product in comparison to overpaying for a custom fiberglass kit to be fabricated and requires a bit of delicacy due to its location. I can't wait to install it.

Where's the pressure clips, Q-Logic?

sirbOOm from Atlanta, GA on 2/25/2013

The build quality of this is fine enough. I mean, they are stiff enough to get the job done and the color/texture match to my 2011 Silverado is not bad. But these don't have the pressure clips that the stock kick panel has. They actually expect me to drill a hole into the sheet metal of my truck with one single screw. This thing needs more than just a little screw to stay in since you have to literally shove it in to get it into place where it looks remotely like it's supposed to be there. If I hadn't already cut the whole in one of them for the speakers, I would just return these. But now I might as well install them.

Pros: Fits larger-sized 6.5" woofers (like the JBL MS-62C)

Cons: Questionable fit No way to use stock pressure clip holes

For details on fit or installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on if this will fit and what you will need for an installation in your vehicle. [ Krissy  Feb 09, 2014 ]  Staff
The panels keep the speakers off the floor a bit but yes you could get snow on them if you are not carefull. [ Thomas  Aug 07, 2016 ]
That is a possibility. I opted to mount mids and tweeters in the doors. The wiring and cross overs worked out better as well. [ DANIEL  Sep 14, 2015 ]
