2002 Chevrolet Avalanche
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Honestly, stop looking for any other option for the back of your Avalanche or 2000's full cab. This box is everything you could hope for. I did have to unbolt the lower cushion support of my rear seat to get it to close all the way but that took two minutes. I paired this box with a Pioneer GM-D8601 and a Kicker CompVR 43CVR102 bridged to support two ohms. This box supports an insane amount of bass with a 10 inch sub. Well worth the money.

Pros: Quality built, ease of installation, amazing bass.

Cons: Dunno, Only comes in black?

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this for my 02 Silverado 2500HD crew cab.I wanted to improve the bass without compromising cab space. This was the perfect fit for my need.I pared it with a 10 inch Alpine speaker and a 500 watt Rockford Fosgate amp. The sound is great the bass is deep and clean and shakes the cab easily. I am pleased with this and happy it was so easy to install myself. Under the rear bench seat, fit is not a problem. ]

Pros: Easy install sound is great

Cons: none

Money well spent

2000 Chevrolet Suburban
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Q-Customs Sub Enclosure looked like a good way to add bass to my stereo without taking up any of my cargo room. The fit and finish is excellent. I used a 10" kicker comp RT shallow mount sub powered by a alpine MRV-M500 amplifier and the amount of bass from the enclosure was very surprising.

Pros: Doesn't take up any cargo room. Great sound.

Cons: Only thing that's a negative for me is that you cannot fold the seat down with the enclosure in place but it's very easy to pick up and move if you need to fold the seats flat

GREAT!

This is a very high quality enclosure. Fits like a glove and looks great. If you are looking to save space and add bass you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Fit-look-quality

Cons: I have not one complaint about this product

2005 Chevrolet Avalanche
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Fits perfect under the rear seat of my 03 Avalanche. Solved my dilemma if where to place my sub. Great alternative to the overkill of a mid-gate enclosure. And since the sub remains in the cab instead of the truck bed, the single 10" is great for normal listening

Pros: Perfect fit, solid construction, keeps the sub in the cab

Cons: Limited to a single 10" sub... might not be enough bass for some

Wow!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

this is a wonderful item. You can have a speaker right underneath your seat without taking up any space and you still have room for the family!!!

Pros: save space, your speaker is hidden from view. People with ask you where is all of that bass coming from because there is no kicker box. lol

Cons: non, what more could you want. You have a hidden 10 sub that is right in the middle of your vehicle and out of sight.

Great box

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have a 2002 Chevy Abalanche and if you want a box that you can keep conceled you only have 3 options...a center console box which does remain hidden but you loose your center console storage, A midgate design wich i did not really care for the look or the cost of, and this box which is the least expensive of all three options. I went with this box because it does go under the back seat which is a big plus because I did not want to give up seating by having to put a box in the seat. I was a little worried that one 10" would be enough but I purchased a 10" Kicker Solo Baric Classic with a 500 Watt Sound Ordinance Amp and I am telling you it is plenty loud and hits plenty hard. i am not saying you are going to win any speaker comp with this little set up but I promise you will turn heads and be noticed. The box is well built and the perfect size for the speaker I purchased. The box fits great once I took out the plate from under the bottom of the seat. No big deal because the plate came out easy and did not support any weight. The only downside is you can only drop the midgate down maybe half way unless you take the box out, which is not hard to do and the box is light.

Pros: Perfect size and and great for staying conceled.

Cons: Cant lower midgate down all the way when installed in 2002 Chevy Avalanche

great bass!!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've been wanting a small subwoofer in my truck ever since I got it, I've tried every "low profile" box on this site and all of them would end up requiring me to modify the backseat, which is something I am unwilling to do, not with this box!!. This box "drops" in under the back seat of the trucks or center seat if you have one of the suvs, rather than bolting down, the seat hardware keeps the box in place making it really easy to remove if you need the extra space for storage. My only complaint the seat cannot fold down while the sub is in place, but you can't have everything. You don't need a powerful Sub/Amp with this box (unless you want a lot of bass). In my box I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch S1 on a Sony 222 amp, Due to the box placement and design I get more satisfying bass than Ive gotten out of 12" Fosgate subs with factory matched amps.

Yes, I have that exact setup and fits perfectly and sounds great. [ MICHAEL  Oct 16, 2017 ]
I have a 10" low profile sub woofer in mine and I have about a ¼" clearance on mine and it sounds great. This enclosure really makes the sub sounds great better then the box I had way way way better. Day and night difference. The bass never thumped as good. I was told as long as you have cleared and the sub magnet isn't resting on the enclosed you're good to go. My answer is yes that will be enough [ vincent  Oct 16, 2017 ]

I have a 2002 1500 hd 4 door the rear seat is a 60/40 split an the seat doesn't sit on top of the box. [ John  Jul 01, 2017 ]
Folding it down. People can sit with it under just fine. [ JOHN  Jun 30, 2017 ]
If your looking at the same product I bought, then it is in my 06 crew cab. My rear seat functions perfectly. I have had passengers ride on it and also it folds up just lien it should as well. I loss 0 functionality. [ Kerry  Jun 30, 2017 ]

The length is 26 1/2 by 6-1/2 height and 16 inches wide. Buy far the best sub box I have ever had, top quality good sound, love it [ LAYNE  Apr 04, 2016 ]
It's listed right on the page, under details. [ Brad  Apr 01, 2016 ]
On my 05 Silverado 2500 HD my seat doors flat didn't touch the enclosure at all. There's a piece that some with the enclosure I didn't use it didn't need it in my truck. If that's connected take it off you won't need it [ vincent  Oct 16, 2017 ]
The box prevents the seat from laying completely flat. The nice thing is that you can just disconnect the speaker wires to the box and move it within seconds. [ WES  Jan 18, 2015 ]
Hi John, after you install the enclosure, you can't lay the back seat flat completely, you have to remove the enclosure, but is not to hard to do it , my enclosure is installed in a Avalanche 2007 , so the back panel to make the cargo space bigger doesn't lay completely flat. But again is not hard remove it, because doesn't need be attached with screws to avoid moves when you are driving . [ JESUS  Jan 18, 2015 ]
The seat bottom will hinge forward but the seat back will not lay all the way down flat. It goes 1/2-3/4 of the way down. It is my only complaint. [ STEVEN  Jan 18, 2015 ]
It prevents it from laying flat [ Brian  Jan 18, 2015 ]
To clarify the above answer, it is in regards to a 4 door chevy pickup. [ BROCK  Jan 18, 2015 ]
The enclosure prevents the back seat from laying completly flat. [ BROCK  Jan 18, 2015 ]
Yes it does put it in a 02 tahoe w a kicker 10 hits hard sounds like 2 12s. [ chance  Jan 18, 2015 ]
I have two amps in my 05 Silverado 2500hd and one is mounted under the rear passenger side and the other is mounted on the same side but on the cab wall behind the seat I can still get to the jack tools. I have a lift kit so I don't use the jack so I just took it out extra space. [ vincent  Oct 16, 2017 ]
I used the space behind the rear seats for the amps. Its the only place you have left if you don't want to mount an amp under the passenger side rear seat. If you chose to go under the seat you will have to pull the jack and other tools then grind off the mounting bolts which secured them. [ RAFAEL E  Aug 11, 2014 ]
This box takes up the middle and drivers side of the rear seat. I have my amp under the passenger side of the seat. As long as your amp can fit under that area it can go under the seat. [ JASON A  Aug 08, 2014 ]
I mounted the amp on the passenger side rear seat. It is under the seat and I was able to run all of the cables under the carpet including the giant power wire and all of the RCA cables. The box only goes under the 60% side. [ Heart of Texas  Aug 08, 2014 ]
As long as it's 10" Dia. And doesn't rest against the enclosure it will work. [ vincent  Oct 16, 2017 ]
I put a W-0v1 in it, just check the sub depth and the box depth [ JOHN  Jun 30, 2017 ]
Sorry but I can't help my truck got stolen the day before I recived the box [ oscar  Apr 01, 2014 ]
It does not need a "special" sub, but it does need one that has a mounting dimension that doesn't exceed the box depth. [ BROCK  Mar 20, 2014 ]
Make sure the sub you chose has the mounting clearance for this enclosure and will work within a small sealed enclosure. This will limit the choices you have. I went with a type R sub from Alpine knowing the top mount depth was going to be more than the enclosure could handle. After building a spacer to lift the sub out of the box everything worked out excellent. Just a little more work. [ RAFAEL E  Mar 20, 2014 ]
The q logic box will hold any ten inch sub so long as the mounting depth is not exceeded. The box gives max depth on its specification and dimension info and subs will list this dimension also. It also sounds pretty good. Just don't expect any competition winning bass. [ STEVEN  Mar 19, 2014 ]
I installed a 10" Polk sub and this fit into the enclosure perfectly. I the mounting diameter of the sub you are installing is 9.125" or less no modifications are needed. I it is greater you will nee to cut the rubber QX ring. This is no big deal and takes about 5 seconds. The only thing I did differently than the instructions stated was drilling the sub mounting holes. This made installing the mounting screws much easier. I had the sub in the enclosure in less than 15 minutes. All I needed to install it into my truck was to raise my rear seat and lay it in. The unit sounds great. Hope this helped. Bob.
