For satellite and surround speakers, proper positioning is a must. That's why Sanus designed their durable VuePoint HTBS stands specifically for smaller speakers.

These stands give you plenty of placement options. Their height is adjustable from 28" to 38", so you can position your tweeters right at ear level for optimal performance. With three different mounting methods —  top plates, L-shaped brackets, and keyhole slot adapters — you can mount virtually any small satellite speaker, including back-bolt and bottom-bolt types. Heavy cast iron bases provide excellent stability for your speakers, and the stands are attractively styled to look great in any room.

Sanus Quality Stands as Usual

JScottH from San Diego, CA on 2/7/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Sanus quality stands again, as this is my 2nd pair. I downsized my surround sound system from larger Pioneer bookshelf speakers to smaller Klipsch satellite speakers and these VuePoint stands do the job and look great! My old stands were the Sanus cherry wood set that I bought back in '98. These new VuePoint stands are a great value and made of quality, heavy metal (pun intended). Easy to follow assembly instructions and Sanus even includes adhesive pads for the bottom of the stands so they are quieter when sliding around on the floor and don't scratch it (if you have wood or tile). Wire management is good as well so it hides your speaker wires. The only issue is that the top section of the stand is very narrow so larger gauge (or flat) speaker wire will not fit down it. Other than that, a great deal and great purchase. I'm sure these will last me for years, just like my old Sanus stands.

Pros: - quality built - easy to assemble - attractive design - attention to detail

Cons: - top section of stand is a bit too narrow for larger gauge (or flat) speaker wire

Sanus Speaker Stands

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These stands are great. The easiest way to assemble them is to not put them together but to run the wire up through them and then assemble them. I installed Bose Acoustimass 6 ver.III satellite speakers on them and they fit perfectly. The base is heavy enough for the toddlers not to be able to knock them over. It is a shame that they have been discontinued because they are half the price of the Bose Speaker Stands and they look and work great. It probably took me 10 minutes to assemble all 4 by not assembling them, having everything for each stand placed in the same spot, running the wires through the base and then through each extension piece and then screwing the top to the assembly. It doesn't get any easier than this and they look great. They are neatly tucked in to each of the 4 corners of the room. I have had the speakers turned up very loud and there is no vibration noises coming from them. They are attractive but out of the way and mostly invisible to others. I only know where they are because I assembled them and placed them in their locations. The price was great compared to the Bose stands and they are a quality product versus others I have looked at. I am extremely happy with these stands. Since they have been discontinued at Crutchfields, who are the greatest bunch of electronics people I have found, you can find them at other retailers that sell Sanus Products. They are worth every penny and since they don't carry the Bose Name are half the price.

Pros: Attractive and quality products

Cons: None

Sanus Stands

Gman from CT on 1/29/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Stands are not bad especially for the price. Only complaint is about the hole to run the speaker wire through is too small. I bored it out with a Dremel and was barely able to fit 14 gauge wire through the opening. Other than that they seem fine!

Pros: Price

Cons: Speaker wire hole too small

Does the Job

mdanda from Leawood, KS on 1/25/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Does the job, nothing special, but nothing wrong, either. Blends in well enough with the furniture. Does not handle thick cables well; I had some difficulty pushing my thicker gauge Monster cable (sorry I don't have the specs on those). Using Energy Micro 5.1 speakers. I'm happy with these stands, especially for the price.

Pros: Design is simple and does not attract attention

Cons: Thick speaker cables are challenging to cram through the stand

Good Price/Value

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For what it costs, it's an excellent product. Good looking and functional. May need to be somewhat inventive, if your brackets do not mount easily.

Pros: price, appearance, function

Cons: Mounting

Good value for the money

Gary W from Los Angeles, CA on 1/17/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These stands were about $20 less than comparable stands at the local big box store, although a bit shorter. Turns out, we like the lower stance for balancing the sound.

Pros: Easy to assemble, really solid base.

Cons: Tubing could be a bit bigger.

Do What They Should

Sean H from Iowa City, IA on 1/15/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For the price, I cannot really complain about these little speaker stands. They hold my surrounds at a good level and were relatively easy to assemble and wire up. They hole in the back is a little small, and I would recommend you put your wire through that, rather than through the bottom and fishing it out. Other than than, as long as your speakers are within the listed wieght limit, you'll have a hard time beating these stands.

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to set up, lightweight

Cons: slightly shorter than I hoped, small wire channel

Work great

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nice stands. Had a little trouble with one of the set screws but finally got it tight enough so it would not move. Was afraid of stripping out the tap. So far so good. 2 months And the stands make the system sound much better mounted higher

Pros: Great value

Cons: Careful with all of the tapped screws as metal will strip out easily

Nice Stands

Sfletch1 from Williamsburg, VA on 1/2/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Stands are exactly as advertised. They are handsome, sturdy, adjustable, and fairly inconspicuous. With a couple of Polk OMW3s they enabled me to sneak in some surround sound where my wife didn't want any more equipment

Pros: Well made and thoughtfully designed.

Cons: Wires can't be too big for fitting through the stands.

Does the basic necessities

PMT from Brentwood, CA on 12/19/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Used on Vizio 5.1 surround sound satellite speakers. The cables for these speakers doesn't allow you to take advantage of hiding the cable inside of the stand tubes but I just wrapped the cable around the stand and concealed them pretty well.

Cons: bigger opening for cable to run through inside of stand. The cable would have fit but the ends on the cable are too large. Probably it was made with speaker cables in mind where they just go into the back of a receiver.

Really easy to use, my polk satellite speakers mounted with no hassles. Really good buy.

Pros: Hides the wire inside the tube and they are height adjustable.

Cons: None

Best speaker stands.

Jimmy B. from Houston, Tx on 11/28/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was looking for an economical alternative to attaching my home theater speakers to the wall with brackets. Metal speaker stands are the best alternative to drilling holes in the wall.

Pros: It was very easy to put together metal speaker stands and attach my home theater speakers to them. Very economical. Speaker wires can be hidden by inserting one end of speaker wires through top hole in speaker stand which goes down the tube and runs out the bottom of stand which connects to subwoofer.

Cons: None that I can think of.

just what I needed

Deez from El Paso on 9/23/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

After chatting with the Crutchfield rep. online, I did a little research on the website and found these; the rep. recommended a more expensive model of Sanus (the HTB7) stands for my Energy RC-Micros, but I could find absolutely no difference between the two models, so I ordered these less expensive (by $15/pair) ones. I initially ordered one pair, not sure of how I would like them. I had them both assembled within about 30 minutes of receiving the package. My 16-gauge speaker wire posed no particular difficulty in getting threaded through, but I suspect that anything thicker would have been much more difficult or impossible. I was so pleased that I immediately ordered a second pair.

Pros: easy assembly, sturdy, attractive

Cons: none

Excellent Speaker Stands

BillB from Cave Creek, AZ on 8/18/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The stands are a perfect size for the speakers with my Samsung HT-E6500W home theater system. The base is a good size to weight ratio and do not have a very large footprint. The stands perch the speakers at a perfect shoulder level while sitting on the couch. I was very impressed with the quality for the price.

Pros: Concealed speaker wire, very good hardware, quality manufacturing, great value for the price.

Cons: None

Q & A

Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

Sorry, not sure of size of Bose speakers. But, you have 3 different ways to hook up the speakers on these stands. Check the details of the stands online & you'll answer your own question. They are a great product, couldn't beat the price, very happy w/ them. Good luck! [ margaret  Dec 22, 2013 ]
The Bose Acoustimass 6 speakers have a single screw mount using a 5mm thread. These stands comes with enough hardware to make them truly universal. That said, the stands offered as an accessory for those speakers include clips that fit the recess of the speaker perfectly. This fit prevents the speaker from rotating; keeps them straight on the stand. The L brackets with the stands you are asking about might fit well, or they may be too wide or too narrow. You may have to either modify the brackets or put some kind of pad between the bracket and the speaker to help keep the speakers in position. The other accessory on the Bose recommended stands is a plastic cover that provides a clean finished look. $60 is a log to pay for a finished look unless that is what you need. Need to save some dough? The Sanus stands should be fine as long as you are willing and able to make adjustments as needed. [ CHRISTOPHER  Dec 18, 2013 ]
I don't own that model of speaker, however I do own a pair of Bose that would fit. I think that they would be able to be used. [ JOHN L  Dec 18, 2013 ]
Great! No Complaints, easy to assemble, sent with 2 ways to mount speakers. . Surprised by the weight...not going to fall over easy. My speakers have 4 mm mounting holes, 5 mm sent with product. If I had a need for more, I would definitely re-order. [ drew  Dec 17, 2013 ]
While I can't specifically answer for the Bose Acoustimass speakers, I have the Samsung HT-E6500W front and rear speakers on these stands. The brackets support a variety of installations, and there is double sided tape should the brackets not fit. Here is a link to the system that I am using the brackets with so you can size the speakers. [ WILLIAM  Dec 17, 2013 ]
I don't know my surround system is a LG [ ROBERT  Dec 17, 2013 ]
I bought these and am using on Vizio 5.1 Satellite speakers. Not sure about Bose [ Pedro  Dec 17, 2013 ]
I didn't use them for Bose speakers, but they come with several adapters and screws for various types of mounts. I'm pretty certain they will work for the Bose style as well. [ MATTHEW C  Dec 17, 2013 ]
