Overview

Our take on the Sanus NFC18

A sturdy perch for your center channel speaker

Looking for an attractive way to position your center channel speaker? The solidly built NFC18 is a great option. It's perfect for folks who don't have room for the center channel in their entertainment center, or for placement below a wall-mounted TV or projector screen. Putting your left and right speakers on stands as well? The NFC18 matches the look of the other models in the Sanus Natural Foundations lineup.

Love the looks / design, and it works very well with my Canton Karat 705 CM center speaker.

As far as function, it holds my center channel off the ground with out falling over. Fit and finish needs some work. Legs had small dings out of the box, top play assembly holes were drill with a hole .25-.5 inches off. This meant I had to re drill the hole in order to assemble. Untimitly not a bad stand but obviously a straight from China with little quality control.

Nice solid stand . Really reasonable price. Works just as well as those fancy stands that are designed for use with specific speakers. This, enables the buyer to try different kinds of center channels instead of being stuck with a made to measure stand. For movies the angle of the center speaker is more useful to my needs. I use those rubber isolation feet and tilt my center speaker upwards to fire at an angle.

Sanus NFC18 center channel stand

Anonymous from Virginia on 10/8/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Easy to assemble and works as advertised. Only complaint is that the carpet spikes aren't long enough to insert into the base when combined with the isolation feet. Would've been nice as the isolation feet look good in profile and set the stand off the carpet. I ordered an open box item and the metal top plate was missing. Called Crutchfield and got a replacement plate shipped right away. They even offered to send me out a whole new stand! Great customer service.

Pros: A bit expensive but does the job.

Cons: Wire cover is kinda cheap but works.

Nice, simple, heavy stand

BJ from Honolulu, HI on 9/16/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this to hold an Infinity PC351 center channel speaker, which weighs in at a hefty 30 lbs. I searched for something that matched the quality and finish of the speakers and could blend nicely with the aesthetics of my new TV on the wall. This guy does the job. It holds the heavy speaker securely, the carpet tacks hold the stand securely to the floor below, and the cable management hides the wire perfectly. This is a solid piece, heavy metal and wood construction (5 min assembly), no vibration from the speaker, and is high quality. Recommended, but I do wish it was a little cheaper. I would buy again though.

Pros: Solid Support, holds 30+ lbs no problem, steady, no vibration, high quality construction, aesthetically pleasing.

Cons: Tad expensive, but would buy again.

Sanus NFC18 Speaker Stands

EdJ from St.Paul, MN on 3/24/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The NFC18 speaker stands are excellent for my two heavy ie. 20lb.+ front bookshelf speakers. Each stand is very solid with a metal top and a large sturdy wood base. I wanted solid stands that I could use to elevate my front speakers and not worry about them falling off the stands. The NFC18 stands exceeded my expictations.

Good product

Brad C from West Palm Beach on 6/9/2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Good product that comes with all the necessary accessories to lock the speaker in place as well as the stand itself. Well thought out with rubber bumpers to angle the speaker up if needed and prevent vibration. The wire hiding option worked great, but was a little bit hard to "install" as the plastic did not want to cup nicely into the slots. Took me an extra 2 mins of struggling, but alas it fell into place. Only complaint from my side is that $100 for this stand is a bit extravagantly priced. Guess I should stop whining and enjoy it... ;-)

Features

Compatibility: The Sanus Natural Series NFC18 is an 18" tall stand for center-channel speakers up to 25 lbs. It features a 14.0625" x 8.0625" top plate with adjustable-height brass studs and neoprene pads to provide superior isolation and resonance damping for your center channel speaker.

Note: This product is sold individually.

MDF & Hardwood Construction: The Sanus NFC18 features an anti-resonant MDF base and twin hardwood pillars finished with three coats of hand-sanded black lacquer.

Rubber Feet or Carpet Spikes: The NFC18 includes adjustable carpet spikes and screw-in polyester feet for stability.  The spikes pierce the carpeting and anchor the stand to the floor, keeping the speaker stable and reducing resonance. With the spiked feet installed, the stand height is adjustable from 17.75" to 18". If you do not wish to use the spiked feet, Sanus has included rubber feet that will not scratch your floor.

Wire Management: A patented wire management channel conceals and protects your speaker cables. Plastic wire covers on the back of the two pillars give the speaker stands a neater look by concealing the wires completely.
