Our take on the Sanus TRILLIUM63

Sanus designed their handsome Trillium Series cabinets with the audiophile in mind. The compartment doors have unique steel panels that allow infrared signals from your remote to pass through. And these open air panels, together with ventilation slots in the shelves, allow air to flow freely throughout the cabinet, keeping components cool. The cabinet can support a flat-panel TV with a screen size of up to 70" and weighing up to 100 lbs.

Nice Cabinet

Mike from Wilmington, NC on 3/14/2018

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I gave the stereo cabinet an overall 4 stars based mainly on the relatively cheap materials and the fit and finish was not up to my high standards. The instructions were easy to understand and it was easy to construct. Took me approximately on hour to put together. I like the overall design of the cabinet and access to equipment is easy. It accomplished my main objective of hiding all of my chords behind the cabinet. I would purchase this again; but, not at full price.

Pros: Instructions were clear Easy to assemble Sale price

Cons: Relatively cheap materials

Useful and handsome TV stand

Andy from Littleton, CO on 2/18/2018

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a great looking stand with many useful features. The dark walnut color was true to the images here on Crutchfield. I'm impressed by the quality of materials used for this stand, and the sale price for this item is unbelievable. Buy it!

Pros: Price, design, build, finish

Cons: Hard to build, finicky hinges

Great purchase

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Fit my Yamaha 3070, looked forever for a stand it would fit in. Very happy with the purchase. Looks great. Cable management is awesome. Survived shipping due to excellent packaging.

Pros: Cable management, style

Cons: Wish it was a little taller.

Nice piece of furniture!

Package arrived undamaged. Stand is very nice piece of furniture and is deep enough for my RXA A3050 . Nice ventilation and cord management, would highly recommend. Assembly was a little difficult for on person.

Pros: looks awesome!

Cons: none

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nice, good looking stand. I love that it has the mesh style doors, but is on the lower end of the price range for a stand of this size. Great fit for a 65" TV.

Pros: - Looks great -Decent materials -Good ventilation

Cons: -Hanging the doors is a huge pain -Seriously, like, what were they thinking with these doors -Tremendous about of packaging waste

Good value, but only because it was on sale. Build quality is mediocre. Installation is cumbersome. So far has held up okay. However, would probably replace with something more sturdy as I buy more components and gradually build my system.

Great Media Center!

Scott from Navarre, FL on 9/11/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Solid product and very fast delivery. GREAT price on Crutchfield too! Other reviews mentioned difficulty in assembly, and I can see why. There are no words, just pictures. My wife and I being very visual were able to set it up in about 1.5 hours. If you tend to follow detailed instructions to assemble furniture, this product may frustrate you. There's plenty of room for all our hardware, including a larger than average center channel speaker. The cable management is great and the ventilation holes in the center shelves are very large and provide enough air flow for my receiver and gaming consoles. I would definitely recommend this product. We love it!!!

Pros: - Easy to assemble if you can follow pictures without words. - Solid and Stable - Great ventilation - Very sturdy

Cons: - Doors a little difficult to adjust the hinges for the right fit, but with a little time and patience, they can be adjusted to fit perfectly.

Highly flexible media cabinet

Ken from Mc Lean, VA on 7/26/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great media cabinet with ability to meet the needs of many. Offers tall shelving. Has plenty of ventilation. Holds several components. Has space for misc items, e.g., Apple TV, wii, Xbox. Wires and cables can be hidden. Dark Walnut color blends well with any decor. Only issue is the overall finish of the material and the alignment of the doors and shelf pieces. But for the price this is a great buy (especially from Crutchfield).

Pros: Overall look. Looks expensive. Space for all types of components. Ventilation galore. Area for wires and cables to be hidden. Fits 65-75 inch screen TVs well.

Cons: Material fit and finish. Installation can take extra time.

Nice stand

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a nice tv stand,I really like the design.I really wanted to give this stand 5 stars,But the color dark cherry is not dark cherry,It's just brown and it's made from MDF.

Pros: Design

Cons: Materials,MDF wood.

Good but some issues

RalphR from Pittsburgh on 9/20/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I like this unit and it is a perfect fit under my 70 in. TV. It takes a good amount of time to assemble and adjust. I am an experienced wood worker so I know how to adjust hinges but the average person might be confused and the hinges were definitely not pre-adjusted for the unit. Fit and finish of the doors could use work. The center lower door handles don't line up when the doors are aligned. Could not engage one of the screws holding the top down because of misalignment but there are several others so it wasn't a big deal. The unit is not inexpensive but I also understand you can spend a lot more. Overall, I think it is a good but not great value. Agree that the color is well represented as a pleasing dark warm brown.

Pros: Nice styling, loads of room and specialized compartment for center channel speaker.

Cons: Fit and finish could be improved

Great media cabinet!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I ordered the dark walnut color, and it's true to what you see pictured. The cabinet has a warm yet modern look. Cables/ power cords can be hidden in the special rear-side spaces (one space on each side of the cabinet, with doors that open to reveal the cords). It was well-packaged and no damage from the shipping. I am very glad I returned the cabinet I ordered before I found this one. This is the cabinet you want for your tv/media needs. I am glad I ordered it through Crutchfield.

Pros: Cable/cord concealment, ample space for multiple media devices, looks great

Cons: Could be time-consuming to assemble.

Q & A

Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

The cabinet was the right size and style. It matches the other Sanus rack that we purchased some months ago. [ Erick  Mar 15, 2018 ]
The nearly 20" depth for stereo components and vented design were what first caught my eye, then it got marked down half price!! [ Steven  Dec 05, 2017 ]
I chose this piece after searching for a long time. It's the highest quality piece I found in this price range. [ Christian  Sep 23, 2017 ]

2 questions already asked

Top shelf is rated for 100lbs according to Sanus. I would be OK with that but no more. Unit is 63 inches wide, so check your tv to see if it will fit. Doubt it would look right if there were an overhang. [ DARREN E  Mar 07, 2018 ]
Definitely! This is a very sturdy and I have an older 65" Samsung that weighs a lot and it is doing just fine. The top shelf actually supports up to 100lbs. [ Joshua  Mar 06, 2018 ]
Yes, I would say so. I weight 180lbs, and there is no issue with me sitting on the tv stand.... [ marc  Mar 06, 2018 ]
If you look at the user manual (there's a PDF linked at the product page), it shows dimensions of the center compartment. The divider can be installed in 2 orientations. One divides the upper compartment into two side-by-side compartments. The other mounts it so that a center speaker can fit. Be careful, though, about the depth of your speaker. The user manual is misleading and makes it seem like there's 10.5" of depth for a center speaker. There's actually only 9.5" [ Matthew  Feb 16, 2018 ]
It does, which was a surprise to me, but luckily not a problem. I find it perfect for game consoles. It's a structural component of the unit, though if you had the means to cut a piece back, I'm sure it would still work. The lower shelf is the same. [ Starhuckster  Feb 15, 2018 ]
There is a divider but it can go either direction. Unless you have a very deep speaker it should fit no problem. This unit is great, I've had it for a few months now. [ Sean  Feb 14, 2018 ]
We left the divider out during assembly, seemed to be optional, and our center speaker fits fine. [ Sylvia  Feb 14, 2018 ]
Yes there is a divider, you can install it 2 ways when assembling. Length wise or vertical. If you install the divider length wise you have a depth of 10.54 inches along the 40.31 length. [ Keith R.  Feb 14, 2018 ]
There is a divider in the middle of the top inside shelf, BUT when you build it you have a choice to either use it to equally divide the top shelf space into two compartments for equipment OR placing the divider in way so it sits further to the back of the cabinet so you can fit a wide Center channel within the top inside shelf using the full width. Hope this helps. [ Keane K.  Feb 14, 2018 ]
Yes. There is a divider in the middle of the top inside shelf. You could not put a center channel speaker there. I use mine for an AV receiver on one side and a blu-ray player on the other side. It is a very well thought out piece of storage equipment. Nothing else comes close in terms of how much gear it can accommodate. [ Jason  Feb 14, 2018 ]
You can configure the top shelf two different ways. First, it you can install the divider front-to-back and divide the top compartment into two separate sections. This would not allow for a center channel speaker to be centered behind the front cover. The other way you can do it is install that divider so it is oriented in parallel with the front and back of the cabinet. This allows you to put a shallow center channel speaker in front of the divider. I think it allows for about 7.5" of depth on the center channel in this configuration. I suggest downloading the technical drawings for this stand from the Sanus website if you have additional questions. [ Andy  Feb 14, 2018 ]
