Our take on the Sanus VF2012

Wall-mount your audio/video components under your TV with this innovative storage system from Sanus. Two adjustable tempered glass shelves provide stable bases for your gear, supported by a sturdy extruded aluminum column which you anchor directly to a wooden wall stud.

Wall-mount your audio/video components under your TV with this innovative storage system from Sanus. Two adjustable tempered glass shelves provide stable bases for your gear, supported by a sturdy extruded aluminum column which you anchor directly to a wooden wall stud.

Two interior channels let you conceal your components' signal wires separately from the power cables, preventing performance-robbing electrical interference — keep your system looking neat and uncluttered without sacrificing sound or picture quality.

Good overall in quality and appearance. Would recommend to others

Customer Q&A

Why did you buy this?

price [ JEFFREY  May 28, 2016 ]
Very sturdy and strong. Easily accomodates the weight and depth of my Carver 6250 receiver. [ Neil  May 08, 2016 ]
Previous good experiences with Sanus products [ Carlos  Mar 26, 2016 ]
Seems perfect for what I need. Designed with home theater in mind. [ Jeffrey  Jan 03, 2016 ]
Good price [ Mike  Dec 30, 2015 ]
looked good [ Byron  Dec 24, 2015 ]
Because my wife liked it. [ TIMOTHY  Dec 13, 2015 ]
It was 1/2 price for my order and will fill my needs nicely. Furniture stands are great but this will hold the equipment I have planned to install and will look good doing it....not to mention save space. [ Mark  Dec 11, 2015 ]

3 questions already asked

I see no reason except possibly safety or appearance. There's no physical reason. Mounting too high will leave cords hanging out bottom kinda high off floor. [ TODD  Jun 04, 2016 ]
Even more if you want [ DANTE R  Jun 03, 2016 ]
My shelves measure 24" wide by 17" deep. Usable depth however is only about 15.5" because the shelf is cutout to fit around the center wall mounted support. It's a great unit but you should take the weight limits seriously. [ Stephen  Nov 15, 2015 ]
24inch wide, 18inch deep. Easily fits playstation, cable box and such [ Jason  Nov 15, 2015 ]
About 24" wide by 18" deep. My Onkyo receiver and multidisc changer fit nicely. [ Kashif  Nov 14, 2015 ]
Our unit arrived crushed, we decided it was not durable enough and went with a different unit [ David  Nov 14, 2015 ]
They are 24" wide by 18"deep. Very sturdy shelf. Mine is holding a marantz sr5003 receiver with ease. [ JAMES J  Nov 14, 2015 ]
Yes mounting between studs is safe. You need to verify the load that the molly you use to mount it with is rated for the weight you put on it. [ PAUL  Dec 18, 2013 ]
How long is the span. Studs are usually 16 or 24 inches on center. You could use molys to attach the shelving to the sheet rock where there are no studs.. Get good ones. [ RAY P  Dec 17, 2013 ]
As long as you put in anchors and DO NOT exceed the weight capacity for each shelf your equipment should be more than fine. I placed my shelves between the wall studs and haven't had any type of problems. [ MELQUIADES  Dec 15, 2013 ]
I would not mount this rack in sheetrock. I don't think it would safely support your gear. I ended up mounting mine in a stud and slid my TV to one side of the TV mount to center it on the rack. It's in a bedroom so I'm not worried about the end of the wall mount showing on one end. [ CHARLIE  Dec 15, 2013 ]
Hello, I can't really answer your question because I ended up returning this item. Although the quality was fine, it was quite large and not really the look I wanted. I decided to keep my satellite dish receiver and dvd player on top of an existing entertainment center. Hope this helps! Joe [ JOSEPH  Dec 15, 2013 ]
