Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I couldn't be happier with this flat screen TV mounting hardware. I am very disappointed that it has been discontinued. Perhaps the powers that be will reconsider. I bought this for a client who had hired me to hang her TV on the wall in her new apartment. It is a 42" Sharp Aquos, and quite heavy. I was concerned that whatever fully articulated mount I purchased might not be strong enough. I was very pleased when I got it out of the box. Very heavy gauge, sturdy construction. The hardware was abundant, for all types of applications, packed in a row of individually sealed plastic compartments. The instructions were clear and logical. The TV is now hung, and I have no doubt that it will survive whatever comes, the worst of which are earthquakes here in California.

Pros: Extremely heavy duty; lots of hardware, well organized; good instructions; amazingly low price

Cons: None at all

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Top of the line product. Heavy gauge steel that can handle the weight (150 lbs.) of even larger LED TVs. I mounted it on a plaster over brick exterior wall and it looks beautiful and strong. The wall plate dimensions were ideal for the location of the 55" LED TV which partially sits in front of a living room window. I'm just glad Crutchfield still had this model in stock as it has been discontinued by Sanus, which is a shame.

Pros: Beautifully well made with an excellent black powder coat finish. The gauge of the steel alone will put to rest any fear of the wall mount failing due to the weight of the TV.

Cons: None other than the fact that it is no longer a current model. Sanus has adapted this model to extend the pivot arm from ~9" to ~24".

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This mount is extremely sturdy but outweighed my TV by several pounds. As a result I purchased the lighter Sanus VML50A-B1, which I am very happy with. I will use this mount for my heavier Panasonic Plasma, which will be relegated to the basement.

Pros: Sturdy

Cons: Very heavy!

This is a good, solid mount.

Pros: Solid construction

Cons: frame blocked access to some inputs on my TV, necessitating 90 degree adapters

Vision Mount VMSAB TV Full Motion Wall Mount

SouthernYankee from Belfast, ME on 8/20/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought to mount my 40" tv. I wanted a well made easy to install product with full motion capability. This product is well made. It weighs more than my tv. Installation was easy, you have to locate two studs in the wall. Because of where it attached to my tv some of the mounting flexibility was diminished (the mounting slide bar was restricted to just a few inches but it worked fine for me). I liked that all the assembly parts were nicely packaged and it was easy to determine which parts were applicable to my tv and installation. Installation instructions are a bit confusing because each step is in about 30 languages making the process more timely. Crutchfield got this to me in an unbelievable three or four days.

Pros: This product is well made. It weighs more than my tv. Installation was easy, you have to locate two studs in the wall. I liked that all the assembly parts were nicely packaged and it was easy to determine which parts were applicable to my tv and installation.

Cons: Installation instructions are a bit confusing because each step is in about 30 languages making the process more timely.

Excellent product

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Easy to install. instructions are clear. Mounted our 55" TV without difficulty. We wanted something to keep it close to the wall when retracted, but still offer adjustment for viewing angle. Interestingly, Crutchfield has a list of mounts that are compatible with different TVs and when we looked up our TV, this was NOT on the list. But the hole pattern matched our mounting hole pattern on our TV so we decided to take a chance. So glad we did. The mounts that they had listed all were $300 and up. I called customer service at Crutchfield, and they said the more pricey units would allow the TV to be pulled further from the wall and still be stable. We didn't need that kind of flexibility. This unit was better than anything we saw at our local electronic super store for a lower price.

Pros: Price was good. Unit solid

Cons: can't think of any!

Good Quality

ChicC from Charlottesville, VA on 7/8/2013

I have purchased several Sanus products in the past and I like a lot. One thing I can caution people about when mounting. I was trying to center a TV above a doorway so logically I mounted the wall portion of the bracket dead center. The problem with this was this particular mount has an extender arm and when you push the TV back flat against the wall the TV is no longer centered.

Pros: High quality parts.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very heavy duty bracket. I was installing my TV inside a cabinet, but needed the TV to move out slightly so I could get behind it to attach to the bracket and to attach cables. This bracket worked perfectly. I used it on a 65" Samsung LED. Works for the 65" now, since the LED are much lighter and fall within the weight limit for the bracket.

Pros: Very heavy duty and stable.

Cons: I had to buy a few additional washers spacers to mount it correctly on my TV--not a big deal at all.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It is a very study mount, However the mount does not come with the correct mounting screws to attach to the 40" Samsung TV Off to the hardware store to find some 8x20 mm bolts, also the mounting brackets are very close together on the tv so the cross bars stick way past the mount brackets. I think they could be smaller

Pros: sturdy mount

Cons: incorrect hardware to mount the Sanus 40" tv

I did a great deal of research for a wall mount for my 40 inch Samsung. I chose this one based on all the info that was available regarding this unit. I couldn't have chosen a better one. It's is great and the TV looks better on the wall. Wes did a great job in handling this order as I needed ASAP.

Pros: Easy to install, sturdy and a great range of movement for the TV

Cons: None very happy with mount

Works well.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I like it. It is a very stout steel mount and installs securely to the wall. I have no worries hanging my 47" TV on it. I really like the range of motion it gives the TV. You can slide it side to side, pivot it out from the wall, tilt it, up, down, whatever. So far I'm happy with it.

Pros: Solid, easy to mount, large range of motion and adjustment.

Cons: Nothing yet really. It is a little heavy?

Excellent TV wall mount

Brian K from Charlotte NC on 11/25/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I spent a lot of time reviewing all the many wall mounts available and choose the Sanus mount because of the view angle options. I spent a couple of days looking at the box before opening it for fear of the difficulties involved in mounting it to the wall. To my surprise, it was extremely easy and didn't take very long. I did have my 14 year old son help because one person is not adequate. Crutchfield thank you for another great deal

Pros: Easy to install, looks great,

Cons: Out of production so no no parts available if needed

Great Mount

This is a great mount! Great quality and easy install at a great price. Many mounts are built cheap, but not this one.

Pros: Good qulity. Very flexible.

Cons: Sticks out a little more than preferred.

great wall mount

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

this is a great TV wall mount. Very sturdy. You must stud-mount it. The directions are straight-forward and the kit comes with many different bolts and washers. I did have to go out and pick up a few more washers, but it costed me all of $2. The device connected very well to my Samsung LED TV, and it is very easy to connect to the wall. It also moves from side to side, giving you some flexibilty on placement. And it was a great deal! Plus, the free HDMI cable was awesome and is very long!

Pros: easy assembly, sturdy construction, good manuverability, free HDMI cable with my purchase!

Cons: unit is heavy (only because of its solid construction) and must be stud-mounted (a bit of a hassle, but necessary)

RONG from BRUNSWICK OHIO on 10/11/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Well built, had to exchange it once 2 of the adjusting screws were to tight. Broke off supplied wrench. Excellent movement directions. The bad is it is very heavy. Weights about 5 times more than my television. Is sturdy enough it could hold a small car on your wall. Defiantly not cheaply built.

Pros: Many swing positions, very sturdy, mounts easily, includes all hardware for many types of televisions. Would buy the same one if I had choice

Cons: On the heavy side most of the weight gets mounted to back of tv. Hard to pick up to attach to higher areas

Sanus Mount

Richard V from Pahrump, Nevada on 10/4/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

We have a 64 inch opening for a 48 inch wide Samsung TV. Our Samus mount was a perfect fit for our opening. Why? Because of the 24 inch depth. This mount turns and extends from the wall as well as tilting. I have to say that Crutchfield had answers for all our questions so that we could put the right width TV into our special opening.

Pros: Excellent Mount with wonderful features.

Cons: In a tight area it is somewhat difficult to slip the support tubes into the mount with the Tv screen on the tubes.

A.O. from Las Cruces, NM on 10/3/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The wallmount was exactly as described and set up was easy only because I'm competent. The instructions are all visual and not articulated so be careful and pay attention to the details. It was a good buy since I didn't have to pay for ground shipping at the time. Didn't give it 5 stars due to the inconvenience of having to go buy some 1/4 in. washers that the screws would fit through. Other than that, installation was easy.

Pros: Easy set up, instructions include images true to scale of bolts and screws, very sturdy, multiple tv position settings w/o compromising reliability. In box supply of parts for flat back and obstructed back flatscreens.

Cons: Instructions are all visual not articulated, washers included don't fit all screws that are included (seems to be common issue)

Fits the tv great and not much work to assembel. Mounting on wall was easy.

Pros: Like driffernt ways it can move fior viewing

Cons: They should give a third set of screws. the ons that came were to long or to short.

Not bad

Brandon from Lubbock, tx on 9/6/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Everything was good from being shipping promptly to price. FYI if you are buying an Led Samsung 40"-46" you have to use this type of mount. Because on the smaller mount the brackets hit the power chord in the back of the tv, so no power to tv.

Pros: Price, shipping cost and speed, quality of product

Cons: Didnt have the correct bolts to connect to a 40" LED Samsung tv, either they were to short or to long. Had to go to the hardware store for the middle size.

Sanus TV Mount

Ryan from Cameron,WI on 8/13/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a very nice mount for your flat screen television . Fairly easily to assemble and place onto the wall . Once it is in place and assembled it is a very sturdy and smooth moving mount when adjusting your televisions viewing angle. I strongly feel that the mounting fasteners that are supplied with the unit are very poor in quality . When a person is putting a very strong faith into the wall mount that it will not fail and risk the chance of damage to a very expensive television. Had to go out and purchase different higher quality wall mount lags and more washers .

Pros: Very strong / sturdy connection , smooth operations , many adjustable tilt / swivel points for adjusting the ideal viewing angle.

Cons: The wall mounting lags that were supplied with the kit are garbage. The hex head phosphate coated lags are far too small to securely grasp the sides of the wall mount plate and securely fasten the plate to the wall. Be prepared to go out and purchase your own. When mounting this set you will also need to have extra washers for properly mounting the television to the frame with machine bolts.
