Nikon Full Size Tripod 846

I bought this tripod to have a full size for the eclipse. Light and full size it is. It ruined my experience all together . After centering the sun exactly in camera's viewfinder the head would slowly slide down . I tried aiming and setting the sun above the viewfinders center , then adjust to let it then " fall" into place. A hazel. A headache. A huge frustration. A mistake to buy it. The next eclipse will find me under the grass. Please, dear reader, stay away from this , or buy one that you can touch and feel before you spend your money.

Pros: It is light . Height is exact

Cons: very unstable. Weak. Shakes. Inaccurate .

I opened up this Nikon tripod and was very impressed with how solidly it is built. I was also impressed with the number of adjustments that could be made to it, allowing me to get the exact position for the object I was trying to photograph. Overall, this is a great tripod for the price. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Pros: Excellent build quality, multiple options to adjust the tripod and reasonable priced.

Cons: I have not found one.
