Our take on the Audio-Technica AT-LP60-BT

With the Audio-Technica AT-LP60-BT, you can enjoy gorgeous vinyl sound without any speaker wires. Just push the turntable's Function button to connect the turntable to your chosen wireless device: your own Bluetooth speakers and Bluetooth headphones can be paired with the turntable and stored in its memory.

The warmth of vinyl with wireless convenience

With the Audio-Technica AT-LP60-BT, you can enjoy gorgeous vinyl sound without any speaker wires. Just push the turntable's Function button to connect the turntable to your chosen wireless device: your own Bluetooth speakers and Bluetooth headphones can be paired with the turntable and stored in its memory.

Or make a wired connection to your stereo system or powered speakers. A built-in phono preamp gives you the flexibility to connect to most kinds of home audio systems.

Handy control options

You can push the Start button to begin playing a record, and then hit the Stop button to lift and return the tonearm and shut off the turntable. A tonearm Lift button is also included to let you raise and lower the arm without stopping the platter.

And as someone who has listened to the stylus bumping around in the final groove of a record for several minutes while finishing a tricky task, I'm personally fond of the auto stop feature: it lifts and returns the tonearm automatically when a record has played all the way through. What a relief!

Great Starter Turntable Works Well and Sounds Awesome

Al from Sykesville, MD on 12/30/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The AT-LP60-BT was easy to set up and performed perfectly out of the box on Christmas morning. My 19 year old granddaughter was blown away as she had been wanting to get into vinyl for some time, and this is a great starter turntable for a vinyl newbie. She set it up herself, and after a little help from me removing the cartridge protector without pulling off the needle, she connected it to her new Mackie CB4BT speakers with the supplied RCA phono cables. She set the switch on the back of the turntable to "Line" (after I explained the difference between Phono and Line), and the first record she played sounded awesome. The arm worked correctly, automatically rising, moving over the lead-in groove and lowering gently onto the record surface. At the end of the record the arm lifted, returned to its rest and lowered after which the platter stopped rotating. The speed appears to be quite constant with undetectable wow or flutter for both 33 and 45 speeds. The automatic arm mechanism seems to be smooth and accurate, lowering the needle in the correct position for both 33rpm LP's and 45rpm singles. The Bluetooth feature worked as described and sounded fine, but we decided to use the cables to connect it to the speakers since they are located near enough to the turntable and you get the highest fidelity sound that way. Hopefully its new owner will get several years of problem-free enjoyment from this turntable before she gets the bug to upgrade.

Pros: Easy to set up, very little assembly other than unpack, attach drive belt and remove needle protector. Operation is sufficiently smooth and simple. Did not detect any wow or flutter on long notes. Cartridge is good for vinyl newbies, not audiophile grade, but clean and "middle of the road" in sound.

Cons: Don't know how sturdy the automatic arm mechanism will prove to be, it is a very lightweight unit (lots of plastic) and will be subjected to many usage cycles. Time will tell, and if my young new vinyl fan really wants to upgrade in a few short years, it will have easily paid for itself.

Decent turntable

Sandy from Chicago, IL on 7/5/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a decent turntable, albeit a bit overpriced for the quality. Bluetooth is a tad glitchy and it lacks features of my old Technics turntable like strobe speed control, direct drive, and stylus lift lever for precise positioning. Case is lightweight plastic not metal. It spins records and sends wireless signal so for its intended purpose, it works ok.

Pros: bluetooth

Cons: Cheap construction, no strobe speed control, no stylus lift bar/lever, a bit overpriced.
