Tweeter: The CS 225C uses
a 1" Kortec soft dome tweeter for clear high frequencies. Kortec is a silky
fabric saturated on the underside with a proprietary stiffening agent. Because
the inside surface of the dome is ultra stiff, the tweeter tracks the signal
with ease and produces an excellent transient attack. Simultaneously, the soft,
self-dampening top layer eliminates unwanted resonance, so the sound is smooth
Woofers: The CS 225C has two 5-1/4" graphite injected
polymer woofers with phase plugs. The drivers feature Boston's Deep Channel
Design technology to give you more bass with less amplifier power. Rubber
surrounds are used for added durability. The enclosure is ported on the back
MagnaGuard: The speaker features MagnaGuard magnetic shielding which
ensures the speaker's magnetic field does not interfere with a CRT television's
Bass Management Recommendation:
When setting bass management parameters on your home theater
receiver, the outputs for this speaker should be set to Small with the
subwoofer's crossover point between 80 Hz and 120 Hz.
Gold-plated Binding Posts: The wire
terminals are gold-plated, 5-way binding posts, allowing you to connect the speaker wire
using dual banana plugs, single banana plugs, pin connectors,
spade terminals, or bare wire. Bare wire up to 10
gauge fits through the binding posts.
