About the RetroSound SUB-8100

John Pollard

A tough sub for tight spaces

RetroSound designed their low-profile SUB-8100 powered sub to give you rock-solid bass in regular cab trucks, classic cars, and other vehicles that don't have room for an ordinary subwoofer. The enclosure comes in at just 3" thick, so it'll fit behind or under a seat with room to spare. A 100-watt RMS amplifier powers the 8" sub, and they're perfectly matched to give your ride the bass it's been missing. Use the variable low-pass crossover and phase switch to get the sound you want, then use the compact wired remote to adjust your bass levels on the go.

Cast aluminum enclosure

Like your vehicle, the SUB-8100 is built to last. A rugged aluminum enclosure protects the sub and amp while dissipating heat generated by heavy, extended listening. Retrosound includes mounting hardware for the sub and the remote, so all you'll need is an amp wiring kit to get great bass in your vehicle.

Hi Mike, thanks for your question. The RetroSound SUB-8100 will work with any stereo. If you have a factory stereo, this sub does have speaker level inputs that will allow you to connect the sub to your head unit. If you have an aftermarket stereo, you will connect the sub to your preamp outputs. As long as you have the space to mount this sub, you'll be good to go. Chat with an Advisor online or by phone at 1-800-324-9695. They'll be happy to help you out.
