Tough marine speakers with a very sweet sound

Upgrading your marine audio system doesn't have to cost an ocean of money. Dual's quality, marine-rated speakers will make your music sound great, whether you're out on the water or relaxing at the dock. These rugged DMS365 6-1/2" 3-way speakers are ready to rock and built to withstand the marine environment.

Dual designed these speakers for powerful performance in salt, spray, and punishing sunlight. The corrosion-resistant basket and UV-resistant ABS grille provide plenty of protection, but the powerful woofers and tweeters are made for marine use, too. Don't let their toughness fool you — these Dual speakers sound sweet, no matter what kind of music you're listening to on your boat.

Just enough for my taste, even after a few they still take a beating!!

I installed these in my Polaris Ranger side x side. They have excellent sound in a very harsh inviroment. I plan on adding 2 more soon. There is is nothing like trail riding in the back country with ZZ Top. Ask me again in a year and I will tell you how they hold up.

Pros: They sound good and a little water doesn't seem to hurt them

Cons: None yet

Dual Marine Speaker GREAT!

WillM in FL from Florida on 8/20/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers are an absolute great value. I am running them off a Clarion deck 50w x 4 channel and it is loud. I have had the pioneer, jensen, and kicker marine. For the money these beat them all. Best part is you do not need an amp for them to sound great. Obviously you will not get the base, but if you want a deck and 4 speakers. You cannot beat the value these bring. Let me put it this way, you could spend more for very nice speakers but you will need an amp for them to sound good, these sound great with no amp.

Pros: VALUE, and the wire included made installation easy. I plan to buy 4 more for our other boat.

Cons: If you are going to use an amp not sure this is best speaker for you.

I replaced the outdoor speakers on my travel trailer with these marine speakers. First and foremost the installation was a breeze. Output is very clear and concise. Enjoying music as I do, these were definitely worth the money spent. I would endorse this product for others to consider purchasing.

Pros: nice sleek appearance. great sound for the money. easy installation

Cons: none at this time

New Marine Speakers

DaleG from Corrales, NM on 10/2/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers were not expensive but they sound great. Outdoor speakers take a beating from sunshine, wind and dust; the elements had killed my old speakers so the change and upgrade from the factory originals to better sound is very satisfying.

Pros: Price and ease of installation.

Cons: None

Chapparal has tunes again!

replaced the factory Clarions. Easy install. Especially like the internal grill- the frame is more rigid than OE. Sounds great for a 25 buck marine speaker!!

Pros: easy fit

Cons: none I can think of!

Hands-on research

Product Research

Magnetic Shielding: The motor structures are magnetically shielded to minimize their effect on your boat's compass and autopilot functions.

Mounting Hardware: The speaker comes with stainless-steel mounting hardware and a removable grille.

Rustproof: The speaker frame and grille are made of UV resistant ABS that won't rust.

IMPP Woofers: Each woofer cone is made of injection-molded polypropylene (IMPP). This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. In addition, the cones are lightweight and rigid for decreased distortion and superior bass response.

1 question already asked

sorry i can't help as i bought these for my son-inlaw and was not involved with the installation [ BARRY  Jun 10, 2015 ]
I mounted the speakers in a 5" hole that was the smallest you can go. At 6.5" the hole might be to big for the screws! Paul [ Paul  Jun 10, 2015 ]
hi valking! I bought these for my chaparral and they sound great. Mounting hole locations always are problematic- seems every manufacturer has a different hole location, frame configuration, depth , etc. Bottom line is that most speakers of comparable size have pretty darn close to the same dimensions, so the mounting holes can only be so far off. These replaced some Clarions from original equipment, and I had to elongate 2of the 4 mounting holes, and that's all there was to it. I find it a great speaker for the $$. Hope this helps!
