Our take on the Littelfuse Maxi Blade-style Fusesby Crutchfield's Gabrielle Thorndyke
Fuses protect your power distribution system you need them to prevent damage to your equipment from current overload. Littelfuse, a pioneer in circuit protection for 80 years, designs and builds fuses for just about any electrical application.
Littelfuse designed the Maxi blade fuse for high-current power applications, like amplifier or power wire protection. You can also use a Maxi fuse anywhere you'd use a comparable slow-acting blade fuse under the hood of your car. Industry-standard color-coding helps you identify the correct amperage. Available in sizes from 20-80 amps. Warranty: 30 days
Overview: The Maxi Fuse is available in a higher range of amperage ratings (20-80 amperes) than the Mini Fuse and ATO Fuse designs and is larger in physical size. A typical Maxi Fuse application in today's more sophisticated automobile circuits is protection of the wiring harness by replacing the fusible wire or fusible link, which is often a plain piece of small wire.
Construction: Three part construction with copper contacts for excellent reliability in harsh environment conditions with low voltage drop. It also features a see-trough cover for easy detection of blown fuses.
