At Focal, all that matters is music. Focal's sound gurus engage in intensive listening sessions as they design a new line of speakers, making it their mission to create products that deliver uncanny realism, sweeping dynamics, and breathtaking depth. During the hands-on production process, they test every model meticulously to ensure that they meet Focal's exacting standards.
The K2 Power 165KRC 6-3/4" speakers bear the hallmarks of Focal's "Power Hi-Fi" philosophy. Nimble woofers, made from Aramid, foam, and glass fibers, demonstrate the control needed to reproduce delicate classical passages, yet they'll handle the power needed to drive your bass-heavy music with authority. The sturdy zinc-aluminum alloy baskets are non-magnetic so they won't interfere with the speaker's own electronics.
Focal's inverted dome tweeters act like little woofers, dispersing the highs in a wide pattern to create an exceptionally natural soundstage. The external K2 Power crossovers use hand-made components developed by Focal to deliver an ideal blend of the highs and lows for a dynamic stereo image. Three levels of tweeter control let you dial in the sound to your car's environment.Note: Focal describes this model as a 6-1/2" speaker. Most manufacturers designate this same frame size as a 6-3/4" speaker. For simplicity's sake we list it as a 6-3/4" speaker.

Excellent and well balanced speaker.
Pros: Unreal sound quality. Can't go wrong with these speakers.
I upgraded to this speaker from the focal pc 165 which was a great sounding speaker. I honestly did not believe that the K2 Power 165KRc could sound that much better. I have these mounted in a 2013 Camaro with a Alpine PDR-F50 amp, with JL Tweeters in addition. These Focals have a super good soundstage with crisp clean non harsh highs and awesome tight bass with sweet super clean mids. This is the cleanest most natural sounding speaker that I have ever heard in a car bar none.
Pros: Clean smooth and so natural sounding.
Cons: The tweeters were a little bit difficult to tilt but they do hold very firm.
I purchase these speakers because it seemed most Harley Davidson baggers were using them. They sound good and strong with rock music. They may even sound better with classical and jazz. I mainly listen to Hip-Hop and R&B. The Focal K2 Power 165KRC's are not the right speakers for those genre's of music.
Pros: Loud and sometimes a bit too bright
Cons: Bass is too tight and sometimes like a popping sound. Like when you tap on a piece of card board with your fingers.

K2 Woofer Cone: The woofer cone is a sandwich composite consisting of a foam core, a structural glass fiber bottom layer, and a Kevlar top layer. This combination of materials results in a rigid, light weight cone with excellent damping characteristics.
Surround: The butyl rubber surround is resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity to add to the speaker's reliability and longevity.
Zamak Basket: The woofer features a cast Zamak basket. Zamak is a rigid alloy of Zinc, Aluminum, Magnesium, and Copper. Zamak is non-magnetic.
Inverted Dome Tweeter: The tweeter is an Aramid fiber inverted dome, producing a broad sound stage. The tweeter has a Neodymium magnet to provide a powerful magnetic field for the voice coil, while still maintaining the tweeter's compact dimensions. The tweeter rotates on its post, so it can be pointed toward the listener.
Crossover: Focal uses audiophile grade polypropylene capacitors and air core inductors in the crossover to ensure high definition and a dynamic sound quality. You can adjust the output level of the tweeter on the crossover to -6 dB, -3 dB, or 0 dB.
Crossover Slopes: The crossover uses 2nd order, 12 dB per octave low-pass and high-pass filters. The crossover frequency for both is 5,300 Hz.
Wiring: The crossovers' woofer and tweeter outputs are hardwired; the 12" output wires have female quick slide terminals that plug into the terminals on the speakers. The inputs are also hardwired; the 12" input wires have no terminals.
