Overview

Our take on the Focal Integration ISC 570

Focal applies the same technology they use in their studio and audiophile-grade home systems to their Integration line of car speakers. Their Integration ISC 570 5"x7" speakers use cones made of Polyglass, a material that combines the warm sound of cellulose with the strength of glass, for a woofer that plays accurately with no added resonances.

Focal Integration ISC 570 5" x 7" 2-way car speakers

You can aim the tweeter for better high-frequency dispersion.

Audiophile-grade engineering

Focal applies the same technology they use in their studio and audiophile-grade home systems to their Integration line of car speakers. Their Integration ISC 570 5"x7" speakers use cones made of Polyglass, a material that combines the warm sound of cellulose with the strength of glass, for a woofer that plays accurately with no added resonances.

Adjustable tweeter

The Integration processed aluminum inverted dome tweeter features a built-in phase plug and wave guide, which act together to increase the power of high-frequency notes and improve the stereo soundstage. You can also tilt the tweeter for better imaging in many vehicles.

Integration speakers allow you to put Focal sound quality and construction into your vehicle without a lot of muss and fuss, so you can enjoy a dramatic jump in performance over your old speakers. Grilles are not included; factory grilles are appropriate for most installations.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Started out with a new head unit (Kenwood DPX702BH) and just installed these in the front doors and am still giving the critical ear to them, so far I'm sort of 'meh'. Install took about 5-10 minutes per door. Thankfully, Ford made this model of truck with easily-removable grill covers for the front door speakers, so access was a snap. With that said, my truck has the factory sub, so I suppose that means it has the 'Audiophile' system, and that means it has separate tweeters in the front doors. So looking at those, it looks like the whole door panel would have to be removed to access those if you're looking at buying a component system. I couldn't see any other way to remove them. So....., I purposely bought these due to the angled tweeters and the thought that I would eventually move them to the rear doors and install components up front. After listening to these, I've confirmed that's what I want to do. Honestly, the factory system, for what it is (or was) sounded REALLY good for no more power than it had and the cheap-o factory speakers. Going component-less up front means I've lost the imaging that the factory tweeters gave me. I now have more power but the imaging just isn't there. I keep turning the system up and messing with the h/u equalizer, but the mid-range starts clipping and the air pressure in the cab starts to affect my ears. Honestly don't know if JBL or others would be better or not. I don't have anything to compare these to other than the factory componen

Pros: Harder hitting than factory

Cons: Lost the factory imaging due to not going with components. For my particular application would be better for rear doors and go components up front.

Awesome upgrade to factory system!

Couldn't be any happier with my purchase! Bought them to replace OE speakers in 2014 F150 with Sony system, they've brought out that extra volume/clarity missing with factory units. Very happy and highly recommend!!!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

As promised, these just dropped into my 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat Supercrew. Even retaining the factory had unit, sound was improved. Better mid range base, significantly better clarity. It even raised the soundstage from around my lap with factory speakers to my chest.

Pros:

Cons:

Decent for the price

I purchased these along with a pair the Focal PS 130v's and the Focal 10" sub P 25DB. I'm powering my fronts and rears with an Alpine MRV-F300 4 channel amp and the sub with its brother,Alpines mono MRV-500. I think its a good price but I would say these are the weak link in my sound system. I realized these are made in china (which is why I think Focal can price them as low as they are) I will most definitely be purchasing Focal's more prominent 5x7's which run about $100 cheaper. These are good for now but overpowered by both my fronts and my sub. If your looking for an affordable set of 5x7's that are better than stock then I say buy them. I turned them up today and put my head back there in my ext cab and was pleased but not blown away...You get what you pay for. I'll stick with the Focals that are made in France which seem to be better quality IMO.

Pros: The price. half decent for the price. Not sure how impressed I would be if they weren't being powered by a sub.

Cons: Not overwhelmingly impressed.(Made in China) Their good for now until I can replace them with Focals more expensive 5x7's (Made in France)

Features

Polyglass Cone: The woofer cone has a cellulose pulp base and is coated with a uniform deposit of hollow glass microballs. The addition of the Polyglass layer significantly increases the cone's rigidity without adding much weight. This combination takes advantage of the accuracy and neutrality of the hard outer surface, but maintains the superior damping characteristics of the cellulose pulp.

Surround: The butyl rubber surround is resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity to add to the speaker's reliability and longevity.

Inverted Dome Tweeter: The tweeter is an inverted aluminum dome, producing a broad sound stage. The tweeter is angled and rotates on its post, so it can be pointed toward the listener.

Mounting Applications: Focal describes this speaker as a 5x7, but it also fits many 6x8 applications. Please check the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector to confirm fit.
