Getting tired of that worn-out sound system in your boat? With this combo deal from Boss Marine, you can upgrade your audio system without emptying your wallet. The package includes a marine-rated digital media receiver, a set of rugged 6-1/2" marine speakers, a 41" dipole antenna, and even mounting hardware. If you're looking for a solid, basic system that's tough enough for life on the water, this package offers a lot of value for the dollar.
Boss designed the MR1309UAB receiver for marine use, with a UV-resistant exterior that resists fading and a conformal-coated PC board that resists corrosion. The fold-down faceplate features a single-line alphanumeric-text display that's easy to read day or night. When you leave your boat at the dock, you can slip the detachable face into the included hard plastic carrying case (a soft case is sold separately). One last piece of good news — this radio will retain your presets through the winter when the battery is disconnected.
Bluetooth capability lets you enjoy convenient hands-free calling and music streaming with any compatible phone. Listen to music stored on a USB drive or SD card, or plug your MP3 player into the 3.5mm aux input. All the openings are protected from salt and spray when not in use, of course. And you can control all functions (except for Bluetooth) with the included remote. The included dipole AM/FM antenna is made from durable, flexible rubber, so you can install it out of sight. If you want to connect an external amp, MR1309UAB sports a pair of 2-volt RCA outputs.
The Boss MR6W marine speakers in this package pair up perfectly with the Boss MR1309UAB. These durable 6-1/2" dual cone speakers provide plenty of low-end punch and excellent clarity. The rugged woofer features a water-resistant design that provides splash protection and durability, not to mention style.
Installation note: This marine radio is water-resistant, but we recommend mounting it in a water-resistant enclosure or using a cover for best performance.
Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.
This marine digital media receiver will not play CDs.

This is a Great stereo for the money. Bluetooth works awesome
This is a good unit for the price! I installed this in about an hour in our boat. Instructions were actually pretty good. Could use a bit more detail on the operation of the unit. The only thing we were disappointed with is the range of the radio. We couldn't pick up even local to the lake stations. I tried the antenna that came with it and the one that actually has an extendable antenna in the boat. Just needs a little more boost in the power. The bluetooth connected right away no problems at all there. Over all a solid unit.
The wires on my previous boss were individually marked but on this one it refers you to the install guide...no the easiest since you have to continue to refer to piece of paper...much prefer individual wires to be labeled as my old boss was. Once wired back into pontoon, it worked nice and no trouble connecting to Bluetooth. It came with 2 speakers which i didn't need but for the price was great in case one of mine goes out. I like the backlight color of blue and the whiteface looks great. Sound wise, when I'm crusing slow or stopped the radio is super nice and clear but when I'm cruising medium or fast I cannot hear it even wide open. Overall I'm very pleased with the unit and would purchase boss again.
Pros: Nice white color, blue backlight, easy Bluetooth hookup, sounds super at stop or low cruise
Cons: Wires not individually marked as prior unit, little trouble getting rear bracket off even with key (didn't realize I had to take it off until multiple tries of sliding it in didn't work), limited sound when cruising,
Quick delivery. Just installed. Very good sound, and loud enough for 19' boat and cuddy with only two speakers. One problem. No AM pick-up at all, but don't use it. Everything else works. Will call tech support. Hopefully just something minor. If AM worked, would have given 4 stars not 5 only because don't know longevity of product.
Pros: Good clear sound. Loud enough. Ease of use.
Cons: No pick-up of AM.
After consulting with a Crutchfield advisor, I purchased the Boss 1309UAB to install in my motorcycle. The fit was perfect. I now can enjoy listening to music through my phone or using the SD slot. Rated power is better than original equipment, and the unit is also lighter in weight. Since I only have room for four inch speakers, I cannot comment on the ones provided in the kit.
Pros: Fit in original location, more watts per channel, less weight, more options for playing music.
Cons: Only color is white.
Easy to install. Sounds great and functions exactly how I expected it to.
Pros: Works great. Syncs perfectly and sounds great on my party barge.
Great deck for the money, all the features you want and need, I already had good speakers so I didn't bother to install the ones that come with it. Didn't seem like they were very good ones.
Pros: Easy to use, all the features you want.
Cons: Not the most powerful stereo, but that's why you have amps for the speakers.
I spent 4 hours installing in a boat and the unit would not power up. Rechecked connections and did a work around with a direct connection to boat battery with no results. Crutchfield sent a replacement unit out rightaway.
Very compact and lightweight, perfect size for my small boat. Still need to install it but it looks very quality.
Pros: Small, bluetooth capable
Best deal for the money. Upgrading an old boat deck and speakers. Shallow head unit will fit anywhere. Sounds good, plenty of power for two additional tower speakers.
Pros: Shallow head unit, simple install
Cons: Only time will tell
Great system. Best value out there. The sound quality is outstanding. I was really Leary of purchasing this due to the low price range. I am very happy so far. Easy to adjust going fill speed on the lake.
Pros: A lot of bang for the buck!!!
Cons: Money left to spend on other things!
It has great sound and the Antenna has great reception
Pros: It's perfect for a small boat
a good unit.....would buy again
LOVE THE SIZE.EASY TO USE
The clarity is perfect... definitely satisfied
Very nice unit for the price.
Pros: Reasonable price looks good and sounds good.
Radio installed easily without any problems and sounds great.
A great upgrade for the existing Audiovox marine setup located in an outside lockable compartment of our Class C motor home. The various media inputs and Bluetooth ability puts it at the top of the list for most bang for the buck. A nice replacement, worth the money.
Pros: Bluetooth. SD slot. USB and a remote!
Cons: None really.
Sweet stereo for the money! However, the remote IS NOT even remotely water resistant. I left the remote in my cup holder in the rain, and it got fried. BOSS states that the product is "Fully Marinized", meaning that everything is corrosion resistant, etc. Beware that this may not be the case for the remote, and a stereo on a boat without a remote, is not quite as cool!
Pros: Great sound, great price.
Cons: Remote is not water resistant.
Good sound and reception for a marine radio. I really like all the options to plug and play my own music selections. Be aware to order a cover when you order the unit if you plan to use it in the great outdoors. I replaced the unit that came with my boat, and had to order a face plate to help protect it from the sun washing out the display and for rain protection.
Pros: Looks good, easy installation, several options to use your own music (SD card, MP3 player, iPod), comes with 2 weather resistant speakers.
Cons: No face plate cover
Excellent sound at this price point. Best Bang for my Buck. Going to purchase another one for my uncles boat.
Pros: Best Bang for Buck
Sounds good in aftermarket fairing on my 07 Softail
Pros: Rocks out
I purchased this for my 2003 Lund boat to replace an antiquated stereo already installed. I was on the fence about using the BOSS Marine or a more expensive unit because of name brand recognition. After speaking to Crutchfield customer service I realized I was getting a much better deal with the Boss than the other units and with more functionality. Not to mention the unit is smaller and gives me more room to store items in the glove box area that it installed in. Mounting and installing were a breeze and when I came to a point that I needed assistance, Crutchfield Tech. support was awesome and had me fixed in a matter of minutes.
Pros: sounds great, easy install, smaller profile, water resistant, functionality and price.
Great products at the right price Cannot even consider buying from anyone else!
Pros: Great product
Great value. Screen difficult to see when glared by sun light but so simple to use, no big deal. Clear sound even when driving down the lake.

We never use CD's on the water, but bot the wife and I have tablets (Ipad). This is a good radio to put in our recently purchased boat. We also bought an enclosure for it. It has a stereo, but it's in an awful location, and will be removed.[ James Jun 14, 2016 ]

Low price, includes 2 speakers[ Monique Dec 10, 2015 ]
Absolutely. I bought a 110vac to 12vdc power inverter for CBs also and I use it in my house all the time. It's very loud. I went to the big box home store and bought 2 6" PVC pipe caps to use as enclosures and the performance is phenomenal for the price.[ ryan Mar 30, 2017 ]
I don't see why not. It should hold up to being outside in the weather if mounted correctly and the remote would come in handy when you walk away. If you have 8 volt batteries with a 48 volt cart, you might have to add an additional 12 volt battery somewhere to power the unit.[ Robert Mar 24, 2017 ]
Yes it would. We generally cover the boat when not in use, so the radio isn't out in the weather.[ Monique Mar 24, 2017 ]
