JVC CS-V6938 6x9 speakers
2000 Nissan Xterra
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
The speakers in my Xterra I'm pretty sure are the originals. The fronts rotted out (already had replacements ready to go). The rears were intact but sounded horrible. Being on a budget, and knowing JVC products are good, I went with the speakers in the review title. Couldn't be happier. Although my head unit is an older JVC, the system now sounds way better than it did, even before the fronts rotted. Except for removing the trim panels in the vehicle (always a PITA), installation was a snap with the plug adapters I received. No cutting, soldering or taping of wire junctions. As far as the sound goes, I don't typically listen to my music very loud any more, but for the levels I do play it at, it sounds just fine. My hearing is still normal for my age and I'd like to keep it that way.
Pros: Decent sound for budget minded listeners. Easy install (especially with plug adapters--spend the extra for them, it makes a HUGE difference.
Cons: Can't think of any at the moment.
