Works fine, nothing special. Looks "blah" so low risk of theft

    Pros: Better than stock

Cons: Bluetooth SUCKS. Its a huge pain to sync up any of my Android devices, and my newest one it refuses to sync to altogether. Will be buying a new radio for that fact alone.

    Great unit!

Mike S from Illinois on 3/28/2014

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great product. Crutchfield's installation kit made it a breeze to install. The sound quality blows away my previous radio and the wide variety of inputs allow me to easily connect all the peripherals I have. I subtracted one star for 'ease of use' because of the occasional bluetooth connection drops.

Pros: Great sound quality Lots of inputs Important functions are easy to access

Cons: The bluetooth connection occasionally drops. Resetting my phone doesn't fix the problem, but cycling the power of the unit does, so there's a bug in there somewhere.

    Great head unit

I received the unit two days after placing the order online. The unit fit perfectly in the console & only took about 15 minutes to install. The sound quality is excellent and the display very easy to read with many different color & brightness options to suit. Bluetooth worked perfectly 1st time & the voice control on the unit works with Siri on the iphone.

Pros: Bluetooth Handsfree works with Siri 2 USB ports Connect 2 phones simultaneously Display color mode options EQ options

    Cons: Operations Manual not intuitive

    2002 Audi A4
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Installed in 02 Audi A4. This is a big step up from my factory radio that didn't have Bluetooth or an aux input. So just for that alone, it is awesome. Has a nice display but not always the easiest to see. Text scrolling is choppy and hard to read sometimes but it works well enough. I don't like how it automatically tries to play my phone when I plug it into the USB ports though. Unless there is a setting to turn this off and I don't know about it. It also charges my phone pretty slow. So if I am streaming music or using gps, it barely charges it enough. I may even still drain slightly faster than it charges. Install was easy enough other than the need to a Hi/Low converter due to the factory amp for my rear speakers. Without the Hi/Low converter the back speakers were really quiet. Great customer service from Crutchfield...even at 11:30pm EST which was surprising.

Pros: Looks nice. Great sound. Great Bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth mic works well so I am told. Pandora works well with my Android phone. Easy install with included car kit and instructions from Crutchfield.

Cons: Slow charging USB ports. Automatically switches to and tries to play anything you plug into the USB (may be a setting to shut this off but I don't know). So when I am listening to Pandora and need to charge my phone, if I plug it into the USB to charge it then switches off of Pandora and tries to play my phone from USB. Then I have to wait for it to connect again via Bluetooth and connect to Pandora again to start playing. This has caused Pandora to crash a couple of times.

Great stereo. Pretty simple install using the Crutchfield master sheet. The installation kit was broken during shipping, but one call to customer service and a new one was on the way. My wife and son love the different colors, especially on the techno setting. Very easy to use. Sound is so improved, even with factory speakers. Easy to use controls for using mp3 player thru the rear USB.

Installed in '00 Dakota. This is one full featured radio that should satisfy the needs of most people. So many great features that allow you to tailor your sound, style, and interaction with the unit that it is simply amazing. Windows phone users, this head unit will pair up with your phone just fine. I have it paired with my Nokia Windows phone and it works perfectly. I can stream music from my microSD card and Pandora, Slacker Radio, IRadio or any other music source on the phone. The hands free phone calling features all work. The sound quality of phone calls are excellent on my end and have been told by others that it sounds perfect on theirs. Works great with my Ipod Classic but I do wish there was a better way to pick the song you want to play. Unfortunately, there is only so much room on a radios display. Same goes for using a flash drive. The 20 watts rms made my Pioneer 2-ways come alive. They actually produce some decent bass now. Not like a sub, of course, but a night and day difference compared to the factory Dodge Infiniti sound system I removed. I do plan to add a pair of 10's and mono amp to round everything out in the near future. Would I buy it again? Well, I like this radio so much that I also bought another one for the wife's car!

Pros: Total flexibility, excellent sound shaping capabilities, hands free phone calls, color changing

Cons: None that I have found.

I have yet to install this as I am waiting on Christmas for her to open her presents, but I love all the features such as multi-color display, iphone abilities, bluetooth, three 4.8v line outs, pandora, and etc. Based on expert reviews the sound quality is great. I have always been a fan of JVC and sure that will not change now. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I have yet to install and play it.

This is my first JVC unit and I'm completly satisified. Directions are easy to follow for variable color display and has 2 USB ports! Overall with the use of this unit is very simple and easy to use.

Pros: This headunit is awesome and very easy to use. Lots of choices with the color display and lots of customization. Crutchfield has done it again. Every single step is simple, from choices to delivery. The adapter harness is the best on the market with its simple instructions and the dash receiver kit is the most durable and sturdy one I have ever seen and installed with. Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have purchased audio products from Crutchfield in the past. Crutchfield itself deserves as many stars as one can give them. Incredible level of customer service, coupled with knowledge and fast shipping! Great combination! The audio unit (JVC Arsenal KD-A845BT) exceeded my wildest expectations! The sound is terrific. The features defy belief! I never had a unit where the colors of the different buttons could be changed to many combinations! The Blue Tooth/Siri compatible feature was up and running in less than 5 minutes! Within 10 minutes, I had used the unit to handle my phone calls... and the fact that it keeps track of recent calls is very impressive! It is hard to believe that I got such a feature-laden item for under $200! Because Crutchfield included the FREE nose piece and wiring harness to exactly match my car, the installer took 1/2 of the time to install the unit, which resulted in a lower installation cost! It is definitely a GREAT value for the money!

Pros: Sound quality, features (too many to list!) Terrific value for the money! Extremely user friendly... It only requires 5 or 6 buttons to work ALL the features... Amazingly clever design.

    Cons: None

    2007 Toyota RAV4
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

First off, "coolness factor" is not something I look for in a stereo. To me it can look like a brick as long as it does what it's supposed to do. I like the sound, the price, and the display flexibility, but on that last point, you can have all the colors in the world, but if you can't see them, of what use are they? I have a 2007 RAV4, and the stereo is up near the top of the dash, so it receives a lot of glare. I tried all different colors, put it in day mode, and turned the brightness up to full, and still could barely see the display. If I'm searching through my iPod menus and can't see the display, well... But it sounds great, and I'm sure if you have a radio location in a darker spot on the dash, this is a great buy. Bluetooth pairs and works like a champ, but as someone previously mentioned, the mic also lacks. I called my home and left a message, and it sounded like one of those old drive-thru speakers. But for $170, it does what it's supposed to. I'd keep it except for the display issue. I can't really use a radio I can't see, so I'll exchange it for something else. More of a function of its location in the car rather than the radio itself.

Pros: Great sound. Great price. Good flexibility in options (EQ, colors), bluetooth works well.

Cons: Display is very dim and difficult to see in bright light. Poor mic.

This head unit DOES IT ALL!

Music Man from Maine on 9/23/2013

The JVC Arsenal KD-A845BT does everything! It plays CD's, FM & AM stations, front and rear usb and front aux jack for ipods, and BT connectivity. Installation in the dash was easy, thanks to the kit I ordered from Crutchfield that matched my vehicle. My car never sounded so good! I used this head unit in conjunction with an amp to power my stock speakers and the sound is so crisp and clean! Setting the color of the display to a color I liked was a walk in the park. Adjusting the bass and treble controls are intuitive. This unit comes with a 2 year warranty as well. I can't think of anything this JVC unit can't do. After much research, I'm glad I chose this head unit!

    Pros: Price, features, dual usb

    Cons: none

    2000 Volkswagen Beetle
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Honestly, it's a pretty good head unit, though it has some problems. Good: - Bluetooth pairs easily, delivers great streaming audio quality and acceptable call quality if you mount the microphone right - Doesn't have to "relearn" the device every time you get in the car - just wait a minute for it to realize it's there, then push unpause on the receiver to start the music at where you left off - Colors are great and easy to adjust, lots of different modes to get just the right feel that you want - 2 "Loud" modes to kick your woofers a bit more at conservative volumes - Excellent built-in amplifier to drive both stock and aftermarket speakers - Charges 2 USB devices and has a front aux jack - Streaming audio over USB, both ports, "skips" about once a minute, making it unlistenable (I've stopped using the USB audio altogether in favor of the bluetooth, which doesn't do this) - Parametric EQ has very coarse steps (ex: 80 hz, 200hz, 10khz, 15khz) making it hard to dial in just the right freq, and also the frequencies are not labeled right, especially in the treble range - 10khz sounds a lot more like 5khz and such - I'm an audio engineer and know how it's supposed to sound, so this bothers me - the bit about "pairing with 2 bluetooth devices simultaneously" is bull - the device gets very confused and there's no way to manually switch between the two, so it just locks onto the first one it saw for music playback. It does switch to the other one for calling though.

Pros: Bluetooth audio quality, amp audio quality, colors, versatility

Cons: USB audio quality, pairing with more than one bluetooth device

Bought this radio after doing a lot of searching online and couldn't be happier. I bought the ASWC-1 to retain my steering wheel control and the SiriusXm tuner. It took me roughly half an hour to wire the radio to the receiver wire harness crutchfield included for free using posi connectors. The longest part of install was placement of SiriusXm antenna and routing the wire for it.

easy to install because of the installation kit that comes with it from crutchfield, The bluetooth here is a big plus for me! one of the reason I bought it. The bluetooth is easy to pair with other device like galaxy s3 and s4 same as tablet I own, the first time I use the bluetooth for calling someone the sound was choppy even though the other person hear me fine but that got fix by updating the software of the stereo so Please update your stereos software through JVC website. My only issue with the stereo is the position of the fast forward, back button it's kind of small, specially if you have fatter finger than mine,

Pros: USb connection in the front and in the back (put that in the glove box) easy to pair with Ipad, Asus TF700T, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 love the different color of the faceplate of stereo

Cons: the forward & back button is in awkward place the folder forward & back button is in awkward place too

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Installation was a snap with the supplied kit and harness from Crutchfield. Had a small problem with the XM adapter; the wiring connection came loose and I had to tear the dash apart again to fix it. Shoved everything back in the dash again and it seems to be holding, but I wouldn't be surprised if it comes loose again. Also, it seems to have forgotten who it was or its subscription information after about a week; I had to re-send initiation codes from SiriusXM. No biggie, it's easy and free even from a smart phone. The bluetooth function connected easily and without fuss, but I sound like I'm talking from the bottom of a bucket to the other person. Person I'm talking to sounds great on my end though! I may try running the microphone somewhere else, see if that helps. As of now, it's virtually unusable. Also, once it's paired with a phone, it will seek it every time it fires up. If the phone is not there, it beeps, which I find annoying. I have not yet tried streaming Pandora from my Android phone over bluetooth (I have a skimpy data allowance) but using the AUX jack to my phone to play MP3's sounds pretty awful. Perhaps a higher quality cable would help, but I am doubtful it would be satisfactory. I have not yet tried a thumb drive on the front panel USB. Otherwise, it looks nice, endlessly customizable, intuitive to use, and sounds slightly but noticeably better than the factory unit even with the factory speakers still in use.

Pros: easy to install and use, good radio reception, available XM, front panel AUX and USB, a worthwhile upgrade from factory unit.

Cons: XM module has been flaky, sound quality from AUX input very poor, bluetooth microphone sound quality poor as I have it currently located. YMMV. Display is hard or impossible to read in bright light.

Nice stereo with lots of features. Has good power. The USB port is awesome. The multiple colors is a nice feature to allow you to adjust it to your dash lighting. You can have different light on different areas of the radio. Also the dimmer is nice and you can adjust how much dimming you want. The built in bluetooth allows you to use 2 phones and 3 other bluetooth devices. The bluetooth will cancel the wind noise if the window is down. The caller really appreciates that. The menu is user friendly. I only have been using it for less then a week so am still getting used to it and the features. So far i am happy with it.

Pros: The dimmer feature. Built in bluetooth for 2 phones and noise canceling. When an incoming call radio will auto mute as well if making a call. The USB port is awesome. Radio shows your phone book.

Cons: It does not pair with both phones without prompting it. It will look for the previous phone even if its not their. This might be a setting and am still looking into why. I have not figured out how to dial from the radio. I been using the phone to call.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

After comparing countless head units I finally decided upon the KD-A845BT. It seemed to have everything that I wanted (bluetooth, front/rear USB, respectable power, sub, and even some things that I didn't need currently, but could be really nice in the future (6 channel 4.8v pre-amp outputs). After installing the unit and learning the functionality I find that getting around is fairly straight forward. The FM pre-sets are strange in that for the first 6 you use the hard buttons, but in order to access any presets greater than 6 you have to use the Menu button and knob. Why not a FM2 source or a double press of the hard button. This is a minor point as there are hardly 6 stations in the area to listen to anyhow. The rear USB feature is fantastic! I placed the USB dongle into the glove compartment and simply leave a flash drive plugged in all the time. The front USB is also great for charging phones and playing tunes as well. Both my wife's iphone4 and my Atrix synced via bluetooth without an issue. During installation I mounted the microphone on top of the A-pillar on the driver's side and routed the wire through the dash. I made a test call and it seemed to work well. I have to include the colors available for the display with this unit as it seemed to be emphasized highly in the reviews I found when I was researching. The colors are definitely cool and there are some nice preset patterns that puts the unit through its paces.

Pros: dual USB, bluetooth, power, price

Cons: Somewhat quirky control that will take a little bit of learning to get used to. This is hardly a con since JVC packed so much functionality into this unit.

Every Option You Need Including a Clock on Display

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

You can set the clock to show just like a factory radio, turn the volume, shows the level, then the station, then back to clock, same with CD or BT Audio. USB in front and back, AUX in front. All of the buttons are nice and separated, EQ button is nice touch. You have to use the included mic in order to use the Hands-Free Calling which works great and is worth the effort. I put mine under the steering wheel on the column and it still works great. Nice preset color options including an amber color #16 and even has just a plain white color. Many other colors available and tons of effects. You can set your own color in the Color Setup by adjusting RED, GREEN, YELLOW, so you are truly making your own color. It's time consuming to get it perfect but also worth the effort. To get to the phone options just hit the phone button and turn the knob to settings they are right there, all other settings are available after holding MENU. To use the voice activation just press and hold the phone button. The manual is nice, put it in the glove box for a week and you'll be fine. This can be the fancy gaudy colorful radio or the plain understated badass that fades away whichever you need. This radio makes the factory speakers better, my old music sounds new. CD and Tuner are great. All of the options for connecting a phone using bluetooth to Pandora, Spotify, Hands-Free or just the music you have on your phone make this a fantastic purchase. 840 or 845? The 845 Aresenal has a 2 year warranty.

    Pros: Everything

Cons: Maybe one thing, the center display is somewhat dim in bright sunlight.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I absolutely love this radio! I have a 00' honda civic and we changed out all the speakers and went with polk audio. I have components in the front, 6x9's in the rear and the pioneer champion series (GM-D8604) 4 channel amp along with this jvc powering everything. The difference in sound is night and day. I admit the radio is tricky at 1st. I keep the manual in the car with me. But over time its becoming easier to control. I love how the radio lights up. The BT sounds great with my blackberry and connects with my phone every time i start the car. The sirius works well as well as the ipod controls. This radio is truly a must have!!!

Pros: This radio does it all!!

Cons: A little tricky at first but after some time it becomes simple to use.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

the only issue i have with the unit is i wish the bluetooth connection was slightly easier. i dont now about with android phones but i have to go into the phone to make connection which isnt a big deal on long trips but constant in and out makes it a hassle but i have nothing to compare it to so this may be expected. Other then that i love this head unit lots of options and possiblities. planning on adding on xm tuner along with some subs. Happy purchase like always with crutchfield.

Pros: lots of display options and add ons.

Cons: Linking bluetooth to has to be done manually on my iphone but isnt huge hassle.

Cons: Nothing bad to say at all!

    • Hands-Free Communication: HFP 1.5 (Hands Free Profile), OPP 1.1 (Object Push Profile), PBAB 1.0 (Phone Book Access Profile).
    • Audio Streaming: A2DP 1.2 (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), AVRCP 1.3 (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the JVC Arsenal KD-A845BT. See JVC's Bluetooth compatibility chart for a complete list of compatible Bluetooth enabled devices.

Pairing: Your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone or digital audio player must be paired with KD-A845BT before hands-free & wireless operation. You can register up to five Bluetooth enabled devices with the JVC head unit. You can keep two phones connected at all times (only one can be used during a call).

Bluetooth Hands-Free Communication: The head unit supports Bluetooth hands-free communication for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. The controls of the KD-A845BT can be used to dial a number, answer an in-coming call, or end a call. The unit also includes an external microphone (with mounting bracket) featuring adjustable gain, so you can carry on your side of the conversation while listening to the caller through your vehicles speakers.

    • Answering A Call: When a call comes in, a ring-tone will be heard through your vehicle's speaker and the caller's name or phone number will be displayed. You can also set the head unit's LCD to change colors when a phone call is received. You can answer the call from the head unit's front-panel controls, or setup the head unit to automatically answer the incoming call immediately or after 3/5/10 seconds. The KD-A845BT also supports the Call Waiting function, so you can answer another incoming call while suspending the current call you are on. Your compatible cell-phone must also support this feature.

    Audio Section

24 Bit D/A Converter: The JVC Arsenal KD-A845BT utilizes a 24-bit digital to analog converter for superior sound quality.

MOSFET Amplifier: The KD-A845BT is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit.

CEA2006 Compliant: The power specifications for the KD-A845BT are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers. The power output specs for the KD-A845BT are as follows:

    • CEA2006 Specs: 20 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 total watts)

Amplifier Gain Control: When you are using the KD-A845BT with factory speakers (or those rated to less than 50 watts peak), the Amplifier Gain Control can limit the amount of power being sent to those speakers. When the Amp Gain Control is set to "low," the volume control ranges from 0 (minimum) to 30 (maximum). When using speakers rated higher than 50 watts peak, you can set the Amp Gain Control to "high," and the volume control will range from 0 to 50.

6ch/4V Preamp Outputs: The KD-A845BT is equipped with 6ch/4.8V preamp outputs (Front, Rear, Subwoofer). The front and rear preamp outputs allow fader control, while the subwoofer preamp output is non-fading.

Subwoofer Controls: The head unit's sub preamp output features a low pass crossover and independent volume control. You can set the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter at 55Hz, 85Hz, or 120Hz. You can adjust the head unit's subwoofer level between -8 and +8 (separate from the main volume level).

High-Pass Filter (for Front & Rear Speakers): You can activate a variable high-pass filter (100, 120, 150, Hz or Through) for the unit's front & rear channels (speaker- or preamp-level), so low frequency signals are cut off from your system's front & rear speakers.

Pro EQ: The KD-A845BT is equipped with JVC's Pro EQ. The integrated equalizer offers 7 preset sound modes (Flat, Natural, Dynamic, Vocal Boost, Bass Boost, & User) suitable for the music genre of your choice. The User mode allows you to manually adjust the head unit's 3-band parametric EQ (Frequency, Level, and Q-Factor).

    Pro EQ
    Frequency Level Q
    Bass 60, 80, 100, 200 Hz +/- 12 dB (-6 to +6) 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, 2.0
    Midrange 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.5 kHz +/- 12 dB (-6 to +6) 0.75, 1.0, 1.25
    Treble 10.0, 12.5, 15.0, 17.5 kHz +/- 12 dB (-6 to +6) Fixed
Note: You can store Pro EQ bass, middle and treble tone settings for each source (CD, AM/FM, Aux, USB, iPod, Bluetooth, and Pandora).

Bass Boost: The unit's Bass Boost enhances low bass frequencies.

Loud (Loudness): This feature boosts low and high frequencies to produce a well-balanced sound at a low volume level. You can set this feature to High, Low, or Off.

Volume Adjust: The input level of each source (other than FM) is adjustable relative to the FM radio volume, so there isn't a significant volume difference when changing sources. Each source is individually adjustable from -5 to +5.

Key Beep: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation. This function can be turned On or Off.

    Display Features

Detachable Face: The JVC Arsenal KD-A845BT features a detachable face to deter theft (a hard plastic face case is provided). An optional soft face case (142DFC1X, sold separately) can also be purchased for this unit. A face-fixing screw is supplied for making the face non-detachable, if desired.

5 Zone Variable Color: The head unit's variable color illumination is separated into 5 Zones (LCD, rotary dial, button zone 1, button zone 2, and button zone 3). The KD-A845B offers 29 color presets and custom colors for each of these zones. You can choose one of these color presets or select the ColorFlow mode which scrolls through all 29 color presets. Additionally, there is a User preset, allowing you to individually adjust the intensity of Red, Green, and Blue from 0 to 31; resulting in approximately 30,000 custom color options. You can choose to use the same color for all 5 Zones, or use a different color for each separate Zone.

    • LCD Zone: The LCD zone refers to the head unit's LCD screen.
    • Rotary Dial Zone: The rotary dial zone refers to the unit's rotary volume control.
    • Button Zone 1: Button Zone 1 contains Phone, Menu, Source/Power, Back/Return, Next/Previous Track buttons.
    • Button Zone 2: Button Zone 2 contains EQ, Display, Preset 1, Preset 2, and Preset 3 buttons.
    • Button Zone 3: Button Zone 3 contains Preset 4, Preset 5, Preset 6, and Eject buttons; along with USB port backlight.

Lighting Effects: You can select a preset color change pattern/speed for all zones (LCD, rotary dial, button zone 1/2/3). Choose from Spectrum, Groove, Techno, Emotion, Relax, and NightSweep.

5 Zone Brightness Control: The unit offers a daytime and nighttime brightness setting for the LCD, rotary dial, button zone 1, button zone 2, and button zone 3. You can also adjust the brightness level of each zone manually from 0-31.

Color Guide: When activated, the Color Guide mode changes the display and all button illumination to white when menu settings or music list search are performed.

Auto Illumination Dimmer: The display/button illumination dimmer can be set to Off (normal brightness at all times), On (display/button illumination is always dimmed), or Auto (display dims when 12-volts is applied to the orange/white illumination lead).

    Remote/Bluetooth Control

Wireless Remote Control: The KD-A845BT comes supplied with a wireless remote control (RM-RK52). The remote contains Attenuator, Sound, Source, Tracking, and Volume functions. The remote operates off of a single CR2025 3V Lithium-cell battery (included).

Steering Wheel Remote Compatibility: The head unit features an OEM steering wheel remote control input wire (blue/yellow) within the included wiring harness that lets you keep your vehicle's factory radio steering wheel remote controls when used with an optional steering wheel audio control adapter (sold separately). I had boiled down to the same choices (this JVC or Pioneer's DEH-X8500B). I have ways liked Pioneer products. I finally went with JVC and it does everything great. The only issue I have (and reviews show the same thing with the pioneer) is the screen is hard to read in direct sunlight. But that can be different from car to car depending on the angle it sits at and is pretty much the same for almost any headunit. If sun shines directly on it, the display is useless. The audio quality is decent. The only limitations I have are my factory speakers. You can adjust volume levels for different modes. Calls and ringers can be set louder without having to adjust again when the music starts back up. Hands free is simple to use. It will automatically connect as long as bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Audio during the call is clear on both ends and doesn't sound like you're on speaker. There may be an echo, you can adjust it with a quick press of the prev and next track buttons. Noise cancellation works well. My car is a bit noisy and they can't hear any of the road noise, wind, engine, or other random sounds. When a call comes in it displays contact info from your address book and the number if you don't. Making a call is easy, too. For the price it is great. You'll likely have to spend a lot more for anything better without someone cutting you some huge deal. Not sure if it matters to you, but one big advantage of the JVC is the front USB port. No need to run a wire from the back. Just pop a low profile flash drive in and it blends right in. For the price I am happy with my choice. They both have great quality, the only REAL difference is which features you prefer. For me it came down to the front USB and that I use Pandora on Android. Hope that helps. You can be pretty much hands free with the jvc. besides voice control I suppose. Very nice head unit though [ BRIAN L  Jan 20, 2014 ]

I don't have a sprint but it works with a Google T2 phone on Tmobile great but the only problem with the unit is that it is not that bright in direct sunlight. Overall it is a good unit and well worth the money. [ CHRISTOPHER M  Dec 12, 2013 ]
I am using an stock AT & T Galaxy 4 with this head unit. It seems to work well. [ Archie  Dec 12, 2013 ]
