JVC's KD-X350BTS digital media receiver features built-in Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, and an aux input, plus you can use a compatible phone to control whatever the receiver's doing. A stereo for smartphones

When your music collection fits into your pocket, you need a car stereo that fits the way you play your tunes. JVC's KD-X350BTS digital media receiver features built-in Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, and an aux input, plus you can use a compatible phone to control whatever the receiver's doing. You can even add a SiriusXM satellite radio tuner (sold separately) and expand your entertainment horizons even more.

Works with your Android™

Android® users can control Pandora®, Spotify®, and iHeartRadio® right from the stereo through the Bluetooth connection — no wires needed. JVC's remote control app lets you use your compatible Android phone's touchscreen to control the action using finger swipes and gestures. With your Android phone safely attached to a mount, you can reach down and skip a track without taking your eyes off the road. You can also control your Pandora, Spotify, and iHeartRadio stations using your voice, your phone, or the receiver itself.

Also awesome for Apple®

If you're an iPhone® user, this receiver gives you more than wireless control — you get voice control, too. Talk to Siri® Eyes Free technology to make calls, choose music, get directions, and more. Anything you can do with Siri can be done with this receiver.

Experience satellite radio

If you're a satellite radio fan, you can connect a SiriusXM® tuner (sold separately) to your KD-X350BTS and start enjoying the wide variety of music, sports, news, and entertainment available. If you haven't experienced satellite radio, you'll be blown away by the incredible selection of music and more that comes with your subscription. Plus, you can drive cross-country without losing your favorite channels.

Play your tunes your way

The KD-X350BTS plays MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, and even FLAC files, so you'll be able to enjoy all kinds of tunes when you travel. You'll find a wide array of sound-shaping tools, including Sound Response to boost frequencies in digital files, Space Enhancement to match the sound to the size of your car, and a 13-band graphic equalizer. The 24-bit DAC brings out the best in each song, while the Volume Link EQ boosts specific frequencies in the audio signal to compensate for increased road noise as you drive faster.

The beginning of a bigger, better system

It's always smart to invest in a receiver you can grow with. The KD-X350BTS gives you three sets of 4-volt preamp outputs, which really come in handy when you add amplifiers and a sub to your car audio system.

Built-in Bluetooth®

Automatic pairing makes it a lot easier to enjoy hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming, no matter what kind of phone you're using. You can also pair two phones at once, so you don't have to choose between the personal phone and the work phone when you're driving.

Rock out and charge up

With your smartphone connected to the KD-X350BTS, you can listen to your phone's internal memory as one source and access its microSD card as another. You'll also appreciate the USB port's powerful 1.5-amp charging capability.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and radio, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

All i wanted was something to play music off USB *and* display the clock all the time which is surprisingly difficult to find on aftermarket radios. The wattage is a noticeable improvement over stock radio with aftermarket speakers, (yes i tested it before and after). And not having the stock stereo restrict certain frequencies is very noticeable too. The JVC 6x9's i got sound great. I appreciate all the options the radio has, but there are just way to many menus/submenus to navigate through. Its kind of a mess. That, and i was really disappointed to discover that while the 2nd screen (the smaller screen beneath the main display) displays the artist/album on the left side, you cant have the clock displayed on the right too, (it will display a useless live EQ). If you want the clock on the right then youre going to have the month and day on the left which i think is really dumb. Theres lots of options for color combinations and depth but only three settings for clock display which is a big oversight. Track displays fine but the artist folders show up as USB 001, 002, etc. Not sure why. Another thing is is has "auto" dimming but i have yet to see it consistently work. There is an option to set the hr/min/pm/am when the dimmer turns on and another to turn it off, and i havent checked to see if it interferes with the "auto" setting.

Pros: -Sounds great -Inexpensive -Bright screen in daylight -clock display all the time

Cons: -cluttered menus -cant display the clock with artist -dimming is finicky

Sound is improvement over stock. Bluetooth either has difficulty linking sometimes or automatically turns on Spotify even when it's not in use on my phone.

Pros: Sound improved over stock using stock speakers.

Cons: Poor connectivity with Bluetooth. Automatically activated Spotify on my phone even when the app isn't open - not good.

Integration with my iPhone SE and with Spotify is excellent. The Bluetooth connection takes about 15-20 seconds. The unit offers a lot of tuning options as far as crossovers and various audio settings. I do wish the track forward/backward buttons were a bit more prominent, and in a more intuitive position relative to each other.

    Pros: Crossover/DSP settings Spotify integration

Cons: Track forward/back buttons are not very intuitive/accessible

    Affordable yet good quality!

Easy to install. Bluetooth is fast and easy. Running with (4) Polk 5.25" coaxials in a Jeep. Produces enough power to overcome wind noise and still hear the music with the top down.

Pros: Easy to install. Short body due to no CD player. Bluetooth is fast.

    Best Receiver under $150

Jorge from Bakersfield, CA on 5/30/2018

The Good: small compact size. Looks like it's half the size of a regular car stereo. USB sounds and plays amazingly well. Easy to scroll through songs and albums. I have a 32g USB 3 tiny adapter loaded with albums. Bluetooth pairing is fast and easy. Music sounds great. Havent made a call yet so can't comment on that. Now here's my biggest praise with this stereo. Sound settings and adjustments are incredible for the price. My old Kenwood $250 stereo didn't have half of the sound settings that this JVC has. I thought my sound system sounded great with the Kenwood but after listening to the JVC, JVC blows away the Kenwood. Sound with the JVC is Crystal clear. My three 10's, Tweeters, and 6.5s sounds amazing. 22rms Watts I think is underrated. Sounds much louder. Colors are great. Easy to customize specific colors. The Bad:. It feels very cheap and very light. Maybe because it has no CD player is small and light but just feels cheap. Gets very hot. After hooking it up to my car, I sat there listening to music for 30 min making several sound adjustments to dial in the right sound for my system. After I was done, I reached to the back of the stereo to snug in the cables and accidentally touched the heatsink and it was so hot and toasty. That concerns me and hope it doesn't fry during hot summer weather. Overall it is a huge bang for my money. I am completely satisfied.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Worked with Allen to purchase everything needed to replace the stereo in my 2000 Porsche Boxster. The local big box store quoted me $270 for this receiver with "free" installation. I accomplished the same results doing it myself for $115....The unit came with a pre-wired harness so I could run it through the existing amplifier and speakers. And I would highly recommend the pre-wiring...becomes a plug and play installation. Installation took me approximately 45 minutes. Sounds gr8! Many thanks to Allen!

Pros: Knowledgeable and friendly customer support. Unit sounds gr8!

Cons: Not the easiest unit to program when first starting up.

Exactly what I was looking for... the Bluetooth automatically connects to my phone when I get into my vehicle. Instructions were easy to follow, my vehicle system sounds better than ever!!

Pros: Inexpensive, easily installed, sounds awesome.

Cons: Required two "ground loop isolators" to eliminate a popping noise when changing between functions. Crutchfield quickly sent them, easy hookup, eliminated noise. Very pleased with great customer service.

    Great sound

Easy to install. I didn't even read the instructions and got it all wired up. Sound quality is great and has many EQ settings to tune to your exact liking. Not to mention BLUETOOTH! 10/10

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I am happy with this unit, since I can now finally listen to podcasts, USB FLAC files, and have hands-free calling with BlueTooth. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because you NEED to disable their "K2 Technology," otherwise it'll distort your speakers like crazy when you drive them hard. What was JVC thinking, leaving that on automatically? Also, if you're playing 24bit/96khz FLAC files, MAKE SURE they are encoded to FLAC 1.3.0 (the last update from 2013) or else they won't play. FLAC 1.2.1 is fine for most but you should re-encode them to 1.3.0 just to be safe. Switching from USB to BlueTooth audio is one button push, but BTA to USB requires you to either re-insert the USB or scroll through the sources. Further, it's a shame that the car remote app has terrible connectivity, which would have made the source switching even easier, but the app randomly won't connect. Unacceptable. I won't downrate the stereo, but their mobile app team needs to figure out how to maintain BT connection. K2 issues aside, I do like the various audio options for dialing in the perfect sound for your car setup. Just do yourself a favor and disable K2 immediately.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I ordered it for my daughter who inherited my 2005 Honda Civic which had a no frills standard stereo with CD and no AUX or definitely BT. Received my order faster than expected. Came with the unit, adapter for my car for a seamless look, instructions all for a good price. Considering the age, I didn't think I would find anything period. Also, order the ReadyHarness for an acceptable up charge, which was worth the time saved for me. This was my first stereo installation and took me just 1 1/2 to pull and install. Showed my daughter the features and she configured the programming part to her liking. She was very happy with it, especially with the Purple light display, as that is her favorite color. Also the BT connectivity and hands free phone were another big faves of hers. No more lugging around a portable speaker to hear her music! :-) The ability to adjust the brightness on this one was an added plus as many of the models had a number of complaints that the display was too bright. The brightness adjustment was not specifically called out in the details online, but was a nice added surprise. I had heard of Crutchfield before but thought it was high end stuff (which it does have) and didn't at first glance. I was at a box store and the sales guy told me to check it out. I was glad he told me and that I did. Overall, for the price, clear enough instructions for installation and ease of installation, we are happy customers. I will shop Crutchfield in the future.

Pros: One-stop shop price, ease of installation, program ability to suit our tastes (hide what we don't need and adjust the features we want)

Cons: The bracket adapter's instructions would have been a little more clearer, but didn't stop me from installing.

A lot of features and good sound.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great unit for the price. I like the smart phone app, allows you to set custom sound features such as setting speaker size, sound lift and so on. Bluetooth audio comes through very clear, people on the other end seem to be able to hear you very well. On the down side the buttons are small and don't have a good tactile response when pressing them. Maybe it's just me but I can't seem to back up to previous tracks, the back buttons will only restart the current track from the USB feed (from my flash drive). I like the customer color selection but wish there was a random color shift option. A "disco" light mode or beat flash would have been nice, with all those colors available you would think they would have done better with a light show. Fit right in my 2008 Subaru Forester with no issues. I'd buy another one if needed.

Pros: Sound adjustments, good Bluetooth, variety of inputs, smart phone app and price point.

Cons: Buttons are small and difficult to press, lacking a light show option.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The included Metra 91-3300PC Kit and the pre-wired Ready Harness I purchased made the install a snap. I really like this receiver because I can connect my phone via Bluetooth or just stick in a USB flash drive for all my music. Hands free calling through bluetooth is great too. I rely on the Aux port (which this unit also has) in my other car, but using bluetooth is so much easier. I don't use Pandora, Spotify, iHeart Radio or SiriusXM, but it's nice to have those options. I also bought the Kicker 43CSC6934 6X9 and 43CSC464 4X6 speakers. This system blows my old stock radio out of the park.

Pros: Great sound with tons of features. Great price and quick delivery. Excellent customer service and everything you need for installation. Buy the Ready Harness, you'll thank yourself when you realize how much time it saves you.

Cons: This receiver has so many features it took me a long time to read the whole manual! ;)

My daughter really Liked this for Christmas! As the installer I liked this head deck and the install parts they sent. Instructions were not great, I did have to use the internet for a few things but overall install went very easy. Wish there was a wiring sheet that showed all of the wiring vs having to piece together the RCA manual, adapter wiring packages, and the adapter box. Overall glad I went with Crutchfield.

Pros: Price, everything came that I needed, install was easy

Cons: Wiring diagrams are scattered on multiple books and packages. Needed to figure out how to get the factory Amp to turn on, used the power antenna wire and a scotch lock to factory Pink wire.

    2006 Toyota RAV4
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This was a Christmas present for my daughter and her '06 Toyota RAV-4. The most important thing to her was blue-tooth connectivity, which took her all of two minutes to get set-up with her I-Phone. Now she can take calls and stream Spotify to her car stereo, which is what she wanted. She's a happy camper. I haven't had a chance to tune the unit with the built-in equalizer or delays. But, even with the factory presets, whatever they are, there is much more punch with this head unit than what she had with the eleven-year-old factory unit. Surprise, surprise. Last year we installed Rockford Fosgate 2-way coaxial speakers, front and back. Now there's sufficient power to make the sing. The Bluetooth microphone is decent, she doesn't have to shout to make herself heard. We drilled a hole in the left side of the trim kit and glued it in place. No exposed wire. Doesn't sound as good, and not as flexible as the stereo I put in my car, but that's not a fair comparison: JL Audio DSP, Rockford Fosgate amps, JL Audio component speakers.

Pros: Single-DIN chassis is easy to install, trim kit supplied by Crutchfield fits well Decent sound, especially for the price. Nearly infinite choices for color scheme is pretty cool Bluetooth microphone is decent, much better than the mic that came with a Pioneer had unit I bought a few years ago. Pre-amp out RCA jacks make for flexible install options

    Built-in Bluetooth

Bluetooth Technology: The JVC KD-X350BTS is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 3.0, allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly through the receiver; as well as stream music wirelessly from your smartphone to the head unit. In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, your phone must also be Bluetooth compatible and be able to interpret certain profiles. This unit is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles:

    • Hands-Free Communication: HFP 1.6 (Hands Free Profile) & PBAB 1.0 (Phone Book Access Profile).
    • Audio Streaming: A2DP 1.2 (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) & AVRCP 1.5 (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the JVC KD-X350BTS. Check here for the latest Bluetooth compatibility information.

SSP & USB Pairing: With Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the JVC KD-X350BTS without having to enter pin codes or go through complicated settings. You can even pair your Apple iPhone (iOS 5+) or Android smartphone (running JVC Music Play App) by simply connecting it to the JVC head unit via USB and following a single prompt on the head unit's display.

    • Dual Phone Connection: Thanks to the Dual Phone Connection feature, two Bluetooth-enabled phones can remain connected to the JVC receiver. This means you can an answer an incoming call from either phone from the head unit. Also, both of your phone's contact lists are downloaded to the receiver. To make a call from one of the phones using the JVC receiver, you simply have to select Phone 1 or Phone 2 on the head unit's front-panel.
    • Streaming DJ: The new Streaming DJ feature allows five Bluetooth audio source devices to be connected to the JVC receiver at one time, so you can switch between Bluetooth playback sources a lot easier and quicker. While "BT Audio" source is selected on the head unit, you can simply press the music playback button on your connected Bluetooth source devices to switch between devices and begin music playback. However, you cannot stream audio from two different Bluetooth audio source devices at the same time or combine music libraries or playlists from two different connected devices.
Note: You can pair up to five Bluetooth-enabled devices to the JVC head unit. When an already paired Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.

Bluetooth Hands-Free Communication (w/ External Mic): The head unit supports Bluetooth hands-free communication for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. And thanks to the latest Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.6) with wideband speech capability, the KD-X350BTS provides more natural sound quality and details during wireless calls. The controls of the KD-X350BTS can be used to dial a number, answer an in-coming call, or end a call. The unit also includes an external microphone (with mounting bracket) featuring adjustable gain, so you can carry on your side of the conversation while listening to the caller through your vehicles speakers. During a conversation, you can switch between the Private Mode (talking directly on your cell phone) and the Hands Free Mode.

    • Answering A Call: When a call comes in, a ring-tone will be heard through your vehicle's speaker and the caller's name or phone number will be displayed. You can answer the call from the head unit's front-panel controls, or setup the head unit to automatically answer the incoming call immediately or after 1-30 seconds. The KD-X350BTS also supports the Call Waiting function, so you can answer another incoming call while suspending the current call you are on. Your compatible cell-phone must also support this feature.
    • Dialing A Number: Using the KD-X350BTS, you can dial a phone number in one of the following ways:
      • Enter Phone #: Allows you to directly dial a phone number up to 32 digits from the head unit's front-panel rotary dial.
      • Preset Dialing: You can store up to 6 contacts in the memory of this unit for speed dialing.
      • Phone Book: You can download phone book data from your mobile phone to the digital media receiver. You can then dial a contact within the phonebook from the head unit's front-panel controls. Your phonebook can be searched alphabetically or numerically.
      • Call History: The Call History is a list of calls that have originated from and were received by this unit that you can dial. You can select Outgoing, Incoming, or Missed calls.
      • Voice Dialing: If your mobile phone supports voice recognition, then you can dial out by voice command. Simply speak into the included microphone once you have activated the voice dialing function from the head unit's front-panel.

Wireless Audio Streaming: The JVC KD-X350BTS supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or audio player, plus song/artist information display. You are able to stream your stored music library on your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, as well as music apps downloaded on your smartphone to the JVC KD-X350BTS for playback.

    • SBC + AAC Codecs: In addition to support for the standard SBC Bluetooth audio codec, the KD-X350BTS offers support of AAC. By supporting AAC, the KD-X350BTS offers better audio performance of the music streamed from your Apple iPod, iPhone, or iPad.
    • Advanced Music Browsing: In addition to basic playback functions (Play/Pause, FF/RW, Skip, Random/Repeat), the KD-X350BTS lets you browse your stored music by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, etc. (AVRCP 1.4 phones only; which includes Android 4.0+ and iPhone 5.0+).
    • Song/Artist Information: The head unit will also display your stored music and music app's song information; such as Artist name and Song/Album title (not compatible with all apps).
Note: When an incoming call or outgoing call is in progress from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, audio streaming will be paused so you can take your call. Once the call is finished, your streaming music will resume.

Siri Eyes Free Control: When paired to an iPhone with Siri via Bluetooth, the JVC KD-X350BTS has the ability to access Siri through its front-panel control and external microphone. Simply press the "phone command" button on the KD-X350BTS to engage Siri and use the included microphone to communicate with Siri. Siri's voice will heard through your vehicle's speakers. All Siri functions including hands-free calling, music search, setting reminders, text-messaging, audible navigation, and more can be done through the head unit and its microphone. You can even ask Siri to get directions to a destination and the turn-by-turn instructions will heard through your vehicle's speakers, while the on-screen map still displays on your iPhone with Bluetooth; the head unit's audio is attenuated while Siri provides audible directions.

Note: The head unit will only display hands-free calling and Bluetooth audio information (all other functions of Siri are only audible through the KD-X350BTS; visual data will still need to be viewed from your iPhone device).

    iPhone & Android Integration

Android Open Accessory 2.0 (AOA 2.0) Connectivity: The JVC KD-X350BTS's front-panel USB port lets you connect your AOA 2.0 compatible Android (OS 4.1+) smartphone for music playback. JVC does not guarantee operation with all Android devices, regardless of operating system. There are two Android AOA 2.0 modes to choose from based on what content you want to listen to and how you want to control it.

    • Auto Mode: The JVC KD-X350BTS supports Android Open Accessory 2.0 (AOA 2.0), which lets you connect your Android (OS 4.1+) smartphone to the KD-X350BTS's front-panel USB port and listen to stored music and music apps from your Android device through the JVC head unit. You'll be able to control basic playback functions such as Play/Pause and Previous/Next Track. Other advanced music navigation will still be done from your Android smartphone's touchscreen. In this mode, the head unit will not display song/artist information; only "Audio Mode" will show up on display. You'll continue to view song/artist information from the Android device's touchscreen. You'll also still be able to access other functions and applications from your Android smartphone's touchscreen, while listening to music through the head unit. If you make a call or answer a call from your smartphone while listening to music in this mode, the music will pause until you are finished with the call and then start back up again.
    • JVC Music Play App: Downloading the JVC Music Play app onto your Android (OS 4.1+) smartphone not only allows you to listen to stored music from your Android device through the JVC digital media receiver connected via USB, but it also lets you browse your Android smartphone's music library from the head unit's front-panel controls. You can browse your store music library by Playlist, Artist, Song, Album, or Genre. The contents of a Playlist or Category can be searched alphabetically or numerically. You can also control Play/Pause and Previous/Next track from the head unit. In addition, the head unit will display song/artist information. You can exit the JVC Music Play app to access other functions and applications of your Android smartphone, while your stored music library is still playing through your head unit. If you make a call or answer a call from your smartphone while listening to music in this mode, the music will pause until you are finished with the call and then start back up again.
Note: JVC does not guarantee operation with all Android devices.

iPhone Direct Connection: The JVC KD-X350BTS's front-panel USB port can be used to connect a Lightning-connector or 30-pin dock connector iPod/iPhone to the head unit (see chart below for compatibility). Audio Section

24 Bit D/A Converter: The JVC KD-X350BTS utilizes a 24-bit digital to analog converter for superior sound quality.

MOSFET Amplifier: The JVC KD-X350BTS is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit. The power output specs for the KD-X350BTS are as follows:

    • Full Bandwidth Power: 22 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20-20kHz, 1% THD)
    • Maximum Output Power: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 total watts)

Amp Gain: When you are using the KD-X350BTS with factory speakers (or those rated to less than 50 watts peak), the Amplifier Gain Control can limit the amount of power being sent to those speakers. When the Amp Gain Control is set to "low," the volume control ranges from 0 (minimum) to 25 (maximum). When using speakers rated higher than 50 watts peak, you can set the Amp Gain Control to "high," and the volume control will range from 0 to 35.

4V/6CH Preamp Outputs + Sub Control: The KD-X350BTS is equipped with three pair of 4V preamp outputs (Front, Rear, & Sub). The Front & Rear preamp outputs offer fade control, while the Sub outputs are non-fading. The Sub preamp outputs also offer independent level control (-50 to +10).

Subwoofer Speaker Connection: You can connect a subwoofer to this head unit without the need of a separate power amplifier. Simply connect a single subwoofer (4-8 ohm) directly to head unit's left rear speaker leads (the right rear speaker output will be muted). The rated power output for the subwoofer speaker channel remains 22 watts. Same subwoofer controls apply, except the, subwoofer level adjustment is from -6 to+3.

Vehicle Setup: In order to optimize the sound quality in your vehicle, you can indentify the type of vehicle you have and the rear speaker location, as well as configure listening distances.

    • Car Type: Select your car type to automatically set the delay time of each speaker for timing adjustment of sound output of each channel to have the highest surround effect. Choose from Compact, Full Size Car, Wagon, Mini Van, SUV, or Off
    • Rear Speaker Location: You can indicate the location of your vehicle's Rear speakers. Choose from Door, Rear Deck, 2nd Row, or 3rd Row.
    • DTA (Digital Time Alignment): For a better sound-stage you can select your optimal listening position. You can choose from All, Front Left, Front Right or Front. You can also select to manually fine tune the sound stage, using Digital Time Alignment (DTA) by selecting the distance (0-20') for each individual speaker in the vehicle compared to your listening position.

    Customer Q&A

    Crutchfield asked
    Why did you buy this?

I've had good results with JVC products through the years. Only chose this size because my stupid Buick cannot take a full size CD unit without cutting stuff up in the dash to make fit, which I could do but don't want to bother with. Although CDs are out, I record my own band stuff with a Tascam unit that still utilizes them, nice to take it right out to the car to listen to, but now one extra step to load into laptop and put on usb drive, so much for my buggy whips! I spend a lot of time in my truck, so I was looking for a decent system, but I didn't need anything over the top. This stereo seems like it will more than meet my needs, and I didn't have to spend a fortune. [ Stuart  May 05, 2018 ]

JVC is a well-known brand, who also has a smartphone application for use with the stereo. Reviews are very strong. Crutchfield generously included many items in this package, saving me $50 or so. Thanks. [ Colin  Mar 25, 2018 ]

I chose the JVC KD-X350BTS as a replacement for the factory receiver in my wife's 1998 Mercedes Benz because of the price, the favorable ratings, the features and good experience in the past with JVC. This car is only driven around town. We have no need for a CD player or satellite radio. We have a great local FM radio station and receive the remainder of our music these days via Spotify. We are a mixed Android/iPhone family. [ Tom  Dec 10, 2017 ]

Good deal and highly rated by other buyers on Crutchfield. [ Stan  Oct 24, 2017 ]

In my car the clock doesn't display unless the unit is on. 2007 Toyota Sienna. [ John  Jun 20, 2018 ]

Yes, we have iPhone 7 and 10 and it works great with both. [ Scott  Jun 12, 2018 ]
I use this with my IPhone 8 everyday, turn on blue tooth on my phone and forget about it. I get in, start my vehicle, it pairs automatically, and I just enjoy. [ Robin  Jun 11, 2018 ]
One of ours phones did sync but we can't sync another to it.. both Iphones. Aside from that great deck for the price [ David  Jun 10, 2018 ]
Yes there is. You push in the volume button(the round button on the left). [ Derek  Jun 05, 2018 ]
Not sure about the 8+. My 7+ had no problems connecting, so I would guess the 8 should also. Follow the directions and good luck. [ Douglas  Jun 03, 2018 ]
    I don't know. I have SE and 6 plus without problem. [ Jayson  Jun 03, 2018 ]
Had no issues connecting with my wife's 8 plus. [ Chad  Jun 03, 2018 ]
Yes. It will sync with your iPhone. [ Lindon  Jun 03, 2018 ]
My iPhone 10 connects just fine so I would imagine the 8 would work. [ zachary  Jun 03, 2018 ]
Yeah it can be pretty difficult to see the display when the sun is directly on it even with the display on full brightness, but otherwise it's not much of an issue that I've noticed. I also just use the Bluetooth connection on my phone so I don't really rely on the display. [ DAN C  Jun 11, 2018 ]
I installed this unit in my 2000 Jeep Wrangler and have zero issues seeing the display on sunny days, even with the top off. [ Jeremy  Jun 02, 2018 ]
It's not that I can't see it in the sun, i can see it just fine. But if a passenger has a white shirt on and it's a sunny day, the black screen and the glare of the white shirt don't mix very well. I have a feeling any stereo you get with a shiny black face will have a similar issue. [ Jaben  May 31, 2018 ]
It depends on where your installer places the phone mike. Obviously wind noise will be a factor. I know you can adjust the sensitivity. It's a great radio overall. [ Margaret  May 22, 2018 ]
If you do not have the factory storage pocket, we have an aftermarket pocket you can use to mount the single DIN stereo in the stock cavity and fill the space: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_003UPT900/item.html The factory sub and the amp that powers it (when equipped) will not be retained when an aftermarket stereo is installed. I would speak with Kat. She is a excellent advisor. She will listen and not over sell you on products. It's a great receiver choice. We went will Infinity speakers. If you go cheap on speakers you won't get the sound you are looking for. [ Lara  Apr 23, 2018 ]
The color is completely customizable. In the color settings you can adjust the RGB (red, green, blue) levels independantly to replicate virtually any color. I used these settings to match the factory white/amber color of my other dash buttons and the receiver blends in perfectly with the stock trim in my Sierra. [ Ufdah  Jan 12, 2018 ]
It is not, no. The SXV300V1 is the compatible tuner package for this stereo: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_220SXV300/item.html SiriusXM should allow you to transfer your lifetime subscription over to a new tuner for a fee. [ Ryan  Nov 14, 2017 ]  Staff
