You can also view traffic info from Inrix, Cobra iRadar, and other driving apps with an iPhone 4 or 4S. Bluetooth adds safety and more features

With the KW-AV61BT's built-in Bluetooth and a compatible phone, you'll never have to worry about fumbling around in your purse or pocket when a call comes in. Just touch the screen and carry on your conversation while keeping your eyes on the road. Bluetooth opens up more listening opportunities too. You can stream any audio content from your phone to the receiver wirelessly, and even control basic functions of some music apps.

Pandora® with iPhone

JVC lets you enjoy your favorite Pandora stations on the road. Just plug in your iPhone and you'll have touchscreen control right in your dash. And thanks to Bluetooth, you can do the same with your Android device. You'll enjoy the rest of your digital music too — plug your iPod® or iPhone into the USB input, you can tap your way through all your tunes and playlist on this JVC's responsive touchscreen. If you're not an iPod user, you can load up a USB drive or a recordable disc with music — it's easy to fit hundreds of tracks on either one, and you can still dive in using the touchscreen.

Video on the go

Use the rear audio/video inputs to hook up your favorite portable audio player, a camcorder, or another video source. This receiver boasts a video output to send movies to a rear video screen, so your passengers will stay happy during the longest road trips. If you've got a big vehicle, you'll appreciate the input for a rear-view camera — helpful for when you're maneuvering your vehicle in tight spaces.

Want to keep your steering wheel controls?

In most vehicles, you can use an adapter (not included) to connect your vehicle's steering wheel controls to this JVC stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and the JVC, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. Check the "Accessories" tab for compatible adapters.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

Note: If you're going to use your iPod with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this receiver.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I love this radio just like i have all my previous JVC units. It is quick and the touchscreen works just like i want it too. The only complaint i have is that they focus too much on iPhone functionality and there are less options for Android phones. Not a huge deal since i can still use it through Bluetooth audio but it would be nice for he built in Pandora feature to work like it does with an iPhone. Overall a great buy and props to the Crutchfield customer service people for making me one happy customer.

Pros: Easy to use, Fast. Great sound quality

    Cons: Little Android functionality

    2005 Honda Odyssey
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought this for my 2005 Honda Odyssey mainly because I got a ticket for using my cell phone while driving, but I also wanted to play my music from my phone and iPod so this seemed the best choice. One other reason I wanted this model as opposed to others I looked at is the large touch screen which is not only good for my GPS navigation apps (WAZE) in particular. I also wanted the screen for a backup camera, which I have not purchased yet but will come in handy for me and my wife when she starts driving. The sound is great even with the existing car speakers, they never sounded better. Phone calls are clear and crisp both talking and listing. The system finds my phone bluetooth as soon as the car is turned on and will even take a current call I'm on before I get to the car and switch it to the JVC hands free system on its own once the car is turned on with out any action on my part, nice. I installed it myself with some tec. support and YouTube watching. You should buy the adaptor pack and facing plate for your car if you want to do it your self.

Pros: Nice sounding system, good phone interface, and fairly easy to instal with additional kit. shipping was fast and on time.

Cons: I would have liked to have the JVC screen apps work with the phone screen turned off, and Google maps as well.

    A beast!

This is a great unit. Easy install with great instructions. The only complain I have is it would be good to have greater control of the Galaxy. Two USBs would be nice as well, for those people that have an Android and an iPod. Yes, there are people out there that prefer this for some reason...

Pros: Easy install, great quality, great features.

Good mid-range unit, iPhone integration could be better

Chris A. from Alexandria, VA on 9/19/2013

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this to install in my 2012 Ford Fusion (without Sync) so I could get the iPod/Spotify integration with my iPhone 4S and the hands-free dialing offered by Ford's Sync package. I was also excited that it offered Waze integration, giving me a nav unit for free. It does all that, more or less, after much jiggering. The unit looks great in the car, and was an easy-enough install for a newbie. Waze integration: this was more frustrating to set up that it should have been, until I figured out that you needed DVD firmware version 2 installed (mine shipped with 1). The upgrade process was relatively easy, and now I have Waze controllable from the head unit. Other than it being a bit washed out, it's otherwise super great. iPod/Spotify: I get that they have a business deal with Pandora. It plays Spotify just fine through the Apps interface, and I can track forward/back from the SWC or head unit (while using Waze at the same time. win!), but there's no GUI for this and it has to be controlled from the phone. It's a bit wonky. Don't see why they couldn't do screen mirroring for ALL apps, or add better GUIs for music. Hands-free: The setup works through Siri, and works okay. While the screen will say "say name," you actually need to wait until Siri beeps to you (and you have to say "call" before the name). The unit's phone book handling is awful, still can't figure out how to import address books. Managing two phones requires thumbing through the settings.

Pros: Great value, upgradable software gives hope for more improvements

Cons: Waze, spottily, hands-free could all stand to be better

Great Value and looks cool. It was very easy to install. the harness to maintain the sterring wheel radio controls is the best money spent. Want to put this model into my 07 Camry now.

Pros: Great for the price and money. Crutchfield tech support was awesome too!!

Cons: Can't get the pandora App to work. Need to call when I have some free time.

    Decent Unit

    Gary from Michigan on 7/24/2013

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For the price it is a great unit and the sound is excellent. Two areas that aren't so great: 1 - When you change the volume your finger can touch the screen slightly and change to radio or pandora by mistake. It is a bit of a pain, but not the end of the world. 2 - The screens aren't cool and remind me of using DOS. You can customize the colors and import your own picture, but you would think they woud make the home screen a little cooler. All the screens are a little boring and basic. Again, not a huge deal, but other radios have a nice selection of screen designs.

Pros: Great for the money Nice sound and features

Cons: Volume control is a bit small and the screens are boring

The wiring harness made the transition from my original radio and harness to the new JVC very easy to plug in and understand the 3 additional wires to mate. I wish the instructions for the install would have been shipped with the package rather than sent as an attachment to an email.

Pros: Very easy to plug in. No soldering needed.

Cons: Instructions had to be hunted down.

I recently purchased the JVC KW AV61BT. This my first DVD receiver and I must say its easy to use. It's a little different sound from my factory Bose system so I'll have to do some upgrading in the future. Overall,a good unit!

Pros: Easy to use and navigate.

    Cons: No remote control included

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

System looks good and sounds great, but issues with Bluetooth sync capability between JVC and Samsung. No fix and we purchased additional equipment hoping to use controls on steering wheel for 2009 Nissan Sentra, but with Bluetooth issue we spent more and still lost many features compared to the factory system. Unit paired and sync fine with my HTC Droid.

Pros: Crutchfield offers good price and service. Unit was in great condition, arrived as promised.

Cons: JVC and Samsung need to work on fixing sync issues vs. pointing blame at each other. The adapter to keep steering wheel controls didn't work as advertised and support was average to poor.

Purchased for the wife's Subaru Forrester. Easy install and so far is working seamlessly with her iPhone 5. Small adjustment needed to be made to the input settings in order for the iTunes and Pandora to play through the speakers when attached to the lightening adapter. Bluetooth works well, but still working to diminish the echo effect. Overall, she's thrilled and I'm considering one for the Tacoma.

    2003 Honda Odyssey
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Installed this into my wife's 03 Odyssey. I have been an audio installer on the side for over 20 years and no problem with the install. Build quality is excellent and more importantly the headunit controls are intuitive and easy to use. It speaks volumes that you start to use this headunit without reading the instructions (not that you should) just based on its simplicity to use. The DVD controls are a bit complicated but nothing that you don't acclimate to quickly with regular use. I installed the GPS app through my iphone but haven't set it up yet, will post my results once I do. Great unit for the money!

Pros: GReat easy to use unit with all the features you could want!

Cons: special cable needed to access all functions for Iphone, kinda lame at this price level.

    So far, so good!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It was quite a lot to install, and so far haven't really dug into all the presets & things it can do, but it is easy to set up with my droid, and the ipod functions work great. It has a lot of options and I love all the features. I do wish it came with many of the little wires & such to get the ipod installed and XM radio. But it sounds great, and I love all the options!

    Pros: Features features features!!!

Cons: Need special cable for ipod, not included. need receiver and antenna for XM, not included. those weren't expensive, but it would've been nice if they'd been included.

Good unit overall - horrible on using apps

Joseph from Puyallup, WA on 5/29/2013

Was excited to get this unit when I heard that I could also use an iPhone Nav app. Then found it had to be a specific NAV app (MotionX) - ok at least I was told. The MotionX app was only .99 and if you wanted talking directions it was $10/year. I thought this was acceptable as an addtional price. However, what was failed to be mentioned is that you would have to also pay JVC/MotionX an additional $25 one time connection fee through the app store. Then I found out you would also have to pay for JVC KS-U30 cable which is another $40 to even have this displayed. That's right, you can use your iPhone cable to do everything with Pandora and iPhone stored music, but not the NAV. **BEWARE**that there wasn't a lot on Crutchfields or JVC's website to tell you all of this before you spent money on this deck. I would have thought twice had I known I was going to pay almost another $70. Deck alone is a nice product, but the overall hidden fee's and not telling you what you're in for before you buy is a bit shadey. It's almost like they left out certain things on purpose - even the manual doesn't give you everything to be prepared for. Had I known I might have considered a different deck.

Pros: Pandora, BT, Touch screen, iPhone integration

Cons: No Full disclosure on how Apps work, hidden fees for working apps, needing to use KS-U30 for NAV

    Love it!

Super easy install. Sound is great! Easy controls. Great pandora options.

Pros: No fuss Pandora connection to iPhone. BT phone quality is superior. Sound quality for high and low frequencies is exceptional. No external amp needed.

Cons: Weak signal tuning is poor, but a non issue if you use iHeart radio app.

Cons: I wish that the menu scrolling was a little more fluid.

Great DVD receiver... I really like the Pandora and phone interfaces through Bluetooth. Basically all the controls are on the touchscreen for your phone. Its great and I feel safer. The subwoofer level control is a little too fine for me, I would like to see a greater change per level so that I dont have to adjust it so much. I really like how much control you have.

Pros: great functionality... so much you can do.

Cons: bluetooth takes awhile to connect to Pandora. cannot disable the RDS labeling of the tuner presets.

The AV61BT was a great purchase and a blessing over the stock, plain jane. Have owned many aftermarket stereos over the years and this one is tops of them all. I thought the price vs the options was great.

Pros: Ease of install with supplied wiring harnesses, along with Crutchfield freebies.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Good all around unit, sounds great and looks very clean after install. This was very easy to install, just solder all corresponding color wires and go. Able to change the colors of the screen and buttons to match the inside of your car, very easy to use if you know head units. Awesome equalizer, but this is common for JVC. They did a great job with this player. And currently I have my iphone 4 hooked up and the Bluetooth is pretty good, had to play around with mic location and settings before there was no echo for me or the caller. Also, con only stream certain gps apps to the unit but, with the JVC cable, I can have the google maps on my phone with tbt maps and still control pandora off the head unit. With the voice guidance still coming from the speakers

Pros: Easy to install Easy to use Works with pandora seamlessly Works with Netflix really good too Pretty good bluetooth

Cons: Bluetooth doesn't connect every time I turn the car on. Have to go through settings on my phone and reconnect 50% of the time.

Great product but needs an android update!

    2010 Nissan Altima
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great product. The radio is decent but as another reviewer said it isnt the greatest as far as picking up long distant signals. The disc mode works great so far although I havent used a regular dvd with chapters but have watched some movies through the usb which is also a great feature. We installed a backup camera and whenever I put the car into reverse the pic is right there on the screen, love that. The bluetooth connects right to my android phone and works well especially the bluetooth mic. Everyone can hear you clearly. Love that the sound EQ is right on every screen right there in the middle on the left. My one major gripe is the android compatibility. The android Pandora does not work for 2 phones Ive tried. I think the app link feature should include android and just not apple's products... JVC should release an update to the public for the android consumers & I will contact them on this. Other than that great product & everything works great!

Pros: great sound, divx support, easy accessible eq, bluetooth works great

    Cons: limited android support.

OK but could use some updates

    DanB from Ohio on 4/1/2013

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Not a bad unit over all but could use a few fixes. You can search your phone contacts by first letter. This does not work for songs on the USB stick. You can only scroll through artists. You can't search by first letter of artist. There is no way to find a song by title unless you know the artist. The digital clock is bright in the middle and dimmed at the top and bottom. This makes is almost unreadable in the daylight. (a very dumb design) Phone quality is good and music EQ is great. The radio does not pull in stations as well as other units. The interface is very easy to use.

Pros: Detachable face, volume knob, good sound quality, good phone quality, easy to use.

Cons: Detachable face is hard to take off once mounted with trim frame around it. Radio is weaker than others. Search could be much better for USB. Clock display is very poor.

    AWeseome Head Unit

knastabooh from Anaheim, CA on 3/11/2013

Great head unit for the price. I researched for 2 months to try and find the right head unit, and came across the JVC KWAV61bt. Can't beat the price or the ease of use. Screen looks great and the sound quality is great. I don't have an iphone (I'm against apple) but the head unit connects really well via Bluetooth with my Samsung galaxy s3. I also have poweramp installed on my phone and the head unit allows me to change songs without having to touch my phone. Highly recommended. Will be attaching the SiriusXM receiver and the backup camera this week.

Pros: Bluetooth is exceptional, screen looks great, sound quality is superb, crutchfield support is the best for tech questions!

Cons: none as of yet. will update as i come across any.

    Great Overall DVD Receiver Deck

Kris T. from Conway, AR on 3/6/2013

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased a Kenwood DDX-419 last year and was greatly disappointed in the bluetooth call quality while on the phone with my customers. This was a big feature I wanted out of my unit (all the other features were important, as well, this was just high on the list), so I finally sold it and got this new JVC unit since last year's model got good marks for call quality. Glad to say that so far, everyone has been able to hear me MUCH better than before! And I have a lot of road noise in my car, so the noise cancellation adjustments on it are very nice. As far as the other features, everything is working as it should and it produces consistently great sounds. I really like how they put quick access to the equalizer from the screen you listening to the music on, so if you want to change it to "Dynamic" instead of "Pop," it's easy to do. I'm a equalizer novice, so the presets are nice to choose and play around with. I have even played a DVD through this unit and the picture quality is very nice. Bluetooth streaming works like a champ and even displays what I'm listening to (I have a Galaxy S3). Overall, I am very pleased with this head unit, especially over the Kenwood!

Pros: - Bluetooth call quality is best I've seen from aftermarket radio - Easy to install - Face Plate comes off to deter theft - Easy access to Equalizer while listening to music - Crutchfield support was outstanding while installing unit!

Cons: - No mute button while on calls so my customers won't hear me sneeze... (I had to think of something negative!)

    • Background: The unit's background color can be changed to one of eight preset colors - blue, light blue, red, green, yellow, orange, violet, or white. You can also create a custom color using a combination (0-31) of red, green, and blue.

When using a JPEG file as the background, make sure that the resolution is 800 x 600 pixels. The color of the captured image may look different from that of the actual scene. You cannot capture copyrighted content and images from the iPod/iPhone.

Picture Adjustment: You can adjust the brightness and black level of the unit's onscreen display. You can also adjust the contrast, color, tint, and detail level during video playback. The adjustment level for each setting is -15 to +15.

Selectable Aspect Modes: You can choose from four aspect modes for the in-dash display:

    • Panorama: For viewing 4:3 pictures naturally on the unit's wide-screen display.
    • Auto: The correct aspect mode is automatically chosen based on the incoming signal.

Adjustable Dimmer: When the illumination lead (orange/white) is connected and the dimmer set to Auto, the display will dim automatically when you turn on your vehicle's lights. The dimmer can also be set to Off (normal brightness at all times), On (display is always dimmed), or Dimmer Time Set (you program the time for the dimmer to turn off an on). The unit also features 3 dimmer levels to choose from - Bright, Middle, or Dark.

The unit's rear-panel AV input must be set to "AV-IN" in order to use the 1-wire USB connection. You will not be able to play Digital-Rights-Protected files. This 1-wire connection only supports audio stored on your iPod/iPhone device and Pandora (no other apps or video content).

    Audio Section

24 Bit D/A Converter: The JVC KW-AV61BT utilizes a 24-bit digital to analog converter for superior sound quality.

MOSFET Amplifier: The KW-AV61BT is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit.

CEA2006 Compliant: The power specifications for the KW-AV61BT are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers. The power output specs for the KW-AV61BT are as follows:

    • CEA2006 Specs: 20 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 total watts)

Amplifier Gain Control: When you are using the KW-AV61BT with factory speakers (or those rated to less than 50 watts peak), the Amplifier Gain Control can limit the amount of power being sent to those speakers. When the Amp Gain Control is set to low, the volume control ranges from 0 (minimum) to 30 (maximum). When using speakers rated higher than 50 watts peak, you can set the Amp Gain Control to high, and the volume control will range from 0 to 50. The internal amp can also be turned off when all the speakers are powered by outboard amplifiers.

5ch/4V Preamp Outputs: The KW-AV61BT is equipped with 5ch/4.0V preamp outputs (Front, Rear, Subwoofer). The front and rear preamp outputs allow fader control, while the subwoofer preamp output is non-fading.

Subwoofer Level: You can adjust the KW-AV61BT's subwoofer level (-50 to +10) independently from the head unit's main volume control for added bass volume.

Built-in Crossovers: The JVC KW-AV61BT features a built-in high-pass filter for the unit's front & rear speakers, and a low-pass filter for the unit's subwoofer output.

    • High-Pass Filter: You can activate a variable high-pass filter (40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 220 Hz or Through) for the unit's front & rear channels (speaker- or preamp-level), so low frequency signals are cut off from your system's front & rear speakers. The front & rear channel's high-pass filters can be set independently of one another.
    • Low-Pass Filter: The unit's subwoofer preamp output features a low-pass filter. In order to prevent high-frequencies from being sent to your system's subwoofers, you can set the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter to 50, 60, 80, 100, 120 Hz or Through.

Speaker Select: You can select which type & size of speaker you have connected to the head unit. Choose from Standard (OEM/Factory), Narrow (4"/5"), Middle (6"/5x7"/6x8"), Wide (6x9").

Pro EQ: The KW-AV61BT is equipped with JVC's Pro EQ. The integrated equalizer offers 8 preset sound modes (Flat, Natural, Dynamic, Vocal Boost, Bass Boost, Vibrant, and User) suitable for the music genre of your choice. The User mode allows you to manually adjust the head unit's 3-band parametric EQ (Frequency, Level, and Q-Factor).

    Frequency Level Q
    Bass 60, 80, 100, 150 Hz +/- 10 dB (-5 to +5) 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, 2.0
    Midrange 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 kHz +/- 10 dB (-5 to +5) 1.0, 2.0
    Treble 10.0, 12.5, 15.0, 17.5 kHz +/- 10 dB (-5 to +5) Fixed

Note: The audio adjustments are memorized for each individual source until you adjust the sound again.

Loud (Loudness): This feature boosts low and high frequencies to produce a well-balanced sound at a low volume level. You can set the Loudness to On or Off.

Dynamic Range Compression: This function reduces a Dolby Digital soundtrack's dynamic range so you can hear quieter dialog without being overwhelmed by loud sections. You can choose a setting of On (reduced dynamic range), Dialogue (clearer movie dialogue), or Off (full dynamic range).

Volume Adjust: The input level of each source (other than FM) is adjustable relative to the FM radio volume, so there isn't a significant volume difference when changing sources. Each source is individually adjustable from -15 to +6.

Key-Touch Tone: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation. This function can be turned On or Off.

    AV Connections

Dual A/V Inputs: The JVC KW-AV61BT DVD receiver is fitted with two audio/video inputs. The unit features a front-panel 3.5mm audio/video input for connecting a temporary external A/V source, such as a game console. The head unit also features a composite video/stereo audio RCA input on the rear-panel for connecting a permanent external A/V source, such as a Blu-ray player or mobile ATSC tuner. The rear-panel audio/video input can be set to one of the following modes:

    • AV IN: Choose when connecting an A/V component like a game system.
    • iPod Video: Select when connecting your iPod using the optional USB/Video cable (105KSU30, sold separately).

Camera In: The rear-panel Camera input consists of a composite video connector which allows you to connect an optional rear-view camera (105KVCM20, sold separately). The unit features a reverse gear signal wire, that when connected to your vehicle's reverse light circuit, will automatically switch the KW-AV61BT's display to the rear-view camera input. Automatic video switching takes approximately 1.2 seconds. Audio from your music source will continue playing, while the back-up camera is displayed.

Video Output: The rear-panel Video Output consists of a  composite video jack that allows you to connect an optional external monitor. You can watch the same audio/video source that is being played back on the JVC head unit on your connected external monitor (sold separately). You can select between a 16:9, 4:3 LB, or 4:3 PS Aspect Ratio for the unit's video output to match your connected monitor.

Steering Wheel Remote Compatibility: The head unit features an OEM steering wheel remote control input wire (blue/yellow) within the included wiring harness that lets you keep your vehicle's factory radio steering wheel remote controls when used with an optional steering wheel audio control adapter (sold separately). Please consult Crutchfield's Outfit My Car to see if your vehicle is compatible.

Optional Wireless Remote: The JVC KW-AV61BT is wireless remote controller ready and supports the JVC RM-RK252P IR wireless remote control (sold separately)

Yes you have to switch it to Bluetooth from wired by pressing mode button in lower left corner [ CEDRIC C  Feb 03, 2014 ]
    Yes, works great. [ CHRISTOPHER  Feb 03, 2014 ]
    Yes it does [ MICHAEL S  Feb 03, 2014 ]
The bluetooth unit does NOT use the same USB port that you will use to connect iPods etc. [ Robert  Jan 10, 2014 ]
no it has a separate USB port behind the LCD just for the blue Tooth [ JAMESON  Jan 07, 2014 ]
Thanks everyone for the input helps out a lot [ jason  Jan 06, 2014 ]
it has a usb port for the bluetooth and another one for using with ipod or anything [ RAYMOND L  Jan 06, 2014 ]
You can either listen to music and use your cell phone hands free with the bluetooth function or you can load music on a thumb drive memory stick and listen to it through the USB port. the only thing I don't like about this unit is that I have not been able to find a navigation app that is worth anything. If you want NAV and GPS get another unit otherwise this is a great stereo and easy to install. [ DAN C  Jan 06, 2014 ]
what are you exactly asking? Bluetooth works perfect just pair the two units. The usb is used if you have iphone and you want to use pandora to display album art while playing it. Other than that pandora play through your bluetooth with android or iphone phones no problem [ C  Jan 06, 2014 ]
The unit has a separate Aux usb adapter/extension cable for usb drives. The BT chip plugs into a secondary usb port that is hidden. In short you can use both without having to unplug anything. [ MATTHEW I  Jan 06, 2014 ]
It has a USB port on the back and comes with a cable that's long enough to run out from the back of the unit. Bluetooth is a separate feature and does not take up the USB slot [ TYLER  Jan 06, 2014 ]
No it does not use the usb port. The bluetooth has its own port. Ive had this unit for almost a year in my subaru and i love it, especially now since illinois has gone to only hands free calling while driving. Definitly a good purchase. But one point i will make, the unit is definitly more friendly to iphone users than android. If that matters at all. Iphone has a cable to connect and use the app screen or pandora or stream musoc via bluetooth. Android cant. It just uses the bluetooth to stream music. But both can still be controled from the head unit and both make great calls over the bluetooth. Hope this helps, ~Brian 2005 subaru sti Illinois [ BRIAN  Jan 06, 2014 ]
The Bluetooth is seperate from the usb , the Bluetooth is built in. I've had no issues. [ MATTHEW  Jan 06, 2014 ]
I use Bluetooth all the time, while USB is plugged into iPod. Also, you can sync two different Bluetooth devices at once (one for audio playback, one for phone). Sometimes re syncing Bluetooth (changing from one phone to another, requires restarting the unit). [ HASKELL W  Jan 06, 2014 ]
The Bluetooth adapter is inserted into a usb port on the BACK of the unit. While streaming music via Bluetooth, you can still have a device plugged into the usb port on the front for charging, accessing etc. [ MICHAEL W  Jan 06, 2014 ]
No - this Bluetooth connects wirelessly without use of USB port [ TODD  Jan 06, 2014 ]
I'm not sure what "mirrorlink" is exactly but the blutooth works really good. All my contacts load into the radio and show onscreen and I can call them at a touch of the screen. Pretty cool. I have an old HTC Thunderbolt android phone. [ WILLIAM J  Dec 27, 2013 ]
As in showing album covers on Pandora no show name titles yes the same music files but of course it will be connected via Bluetooth must check compatibility [ CEDRIC C  Dec 26, 2013 ]
Sorry, what I meant was if I hook up my andorid phone, could I use the navigation from my phone and view it on this unit! Thanks [ Geoff  Dec 26, 2013 ]
Sorry, don't know what that means. I do have one and live it...but no sure on the sorry! Happy New Year Anyway! Jeff [ JEFF  Dec 26, 2013 ]
Yes. This unit will be a good fit for a 2003 Corolla. [ Jeff  Dec 11, 2013 ]  Staff

Does this units bluetooth use the usb port on it . I really like this unit but if I would have to swap out bluetooth to play music through the usb all the time I really dont want that [ jason  Jan 06, 2014 ]
I have a sony Walkman mp3 player, does this unit play it through the usb port and or does it have to go through the 3.5mm jack ? Thanks [ jason  Jan 06, 2014 ]
You can find info about the compatible iOS apps with this receiver on the details tab: [ Jeff  Nov 26, 2013 ]  Staff
