Worthy of praise!
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I have a 1997 GMC K2500 Suburban that had a component woofer and tweeter setup in the front doors so I bought these as replacements. They sound great, I was hoping for a bit more bass but I guess I'll just have to break down and buy some Subs! The install was pretty simple, the woofers slipped into the factory opening, I just had to drill new mounting holes, the tweeters didn't look like they were going to fit into the factory location without major modification so I just went with the sail panel inside the door behind the mirror. I mounted the crossover just below the arm rest mount and between the door panel and the door. The (2) Crutchfield supplied harnesses are made to connect straight to a regular non- component speaker so I had to butt splice them to some of the spare speaker wire to feed the crossover. I plan getting another set for the rear doors also.
