Awesome Bookshelf Speakers
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
These speakers are the cats meow. For 149 bucks? They sound great. I'm driving them with a 100 dollar Yamaha R-S202 100 watt per channel receiver and they easily can handle that power and still sound crisp, clean and beautiful. I purchased this system primarily to use as a sound system for my TV in the bedroom after trying several "soundbars" at local retailers that just simply didn't cut the mustard and claimed several hundred watts which was total nonsense. This system and these speakers were the answer and it sounds great. The best part? The R-S202 is also Bluetooth capable so this doubles as an mp3 player for my iPhone. I was surprised at how great these speakers sounded for the price and the size. My next set of speakers will also be Polks and I've probably get those in the next few weeks to compliment these. I'm using, by the way, in a good sized bedroom but I imagine they would work equally as well for a small to medium sized living room as well. Lastly? If you crank these, your upstairs neighbors WILL COMPLAIN so volume wise they most definitely put out and easily handle the 100 watts although they are too loud for me to use at that level. Beautiful sound. Nice highs, good lows. I am particular to a nicer high end then I am to bass but they do well in both ranges. I don't think you could go wrong with these.
Pros: 1. Beautiful sound - great high end range and solid bass. 2. Very well made. Excellent materials. 3. They can handle 100 watts per channel nicely and still maintain crisp, clear sound.
Cons: 1. None to be mentioned.
