I found the Missing Link
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
No, not Bigfoot, but actually a "small foot"! I was feeling like something was missing in my new stereo music system and adding this smaller size Subwoofer did the trick!. I wasn't quite feeling the bottom-end the way I thought I should be feeling it when listening to music with my smaller bookshelf speakers, especially at higher volumes. Without taking up a lot of floor space, this subwoofer added the warmth and depth that was missing in my music. I did not want a larger unit, so was looking between other compact subwoofers including the Yamaha YST-FSW150 (but that was only 75watts) and the Def Tech Prosub 800 (which has 300 watts !!). I actually heard the Def Tech in a local retail store and even at low volume, it was bouncing and rattling all over the place in their demo room. Mine would be located on hard floor, so I knew I didn't need all that. The Polk PSW111 fell right in the middle at 150 watts and the compact size fits nicely in the room. For me, it's perfect. I can hear it, but I don't have to see it! Shipment arrived on time, hook up was super-easy and there are enough adjustments to get the sound exactly how I want it...it's "just right". I especially like the auto-on/off feature and the phase switch.
Pros: Warm, deep bass for music. Small footprint. Easy setup and adjustments.
Cons: Can't think of any!
