Infinity's Kappa Series 62.11i 6-1/2" speakers continue in the tradition of this legendary line of speakers, offering rugged construction and impressive sound quality. Once installed, these speakers will bring out every nuance and detail in your favorite music tracks, making time spent in your car seem more like a concert than a commute.
If you're looking for natural-sounding high frequencies, Infinity uses edge-driven 1" soft dome tweeters in this system. The "edge-driven" design creates a larger tweeter that handles more power and delivers smooth response way down into midrange frequencies not covered by smaller "W"-shaped domes. You'll hear a more clearly defined soundstage where you can picture the placement of every instrument.
Infinity's UniPivot design allows you to aim each tweeter toward your ears, so you enjoy excellent stereo imaging even if the speakers are mounted way down low in your doors. Each tweeter also features a level control switch so you can adjust the brightness to your taste.
If you like bass, the Kappa glass fiber woofer holds its shape when the power's cranked up, so you still get punchy and defined bass. Glass fiber weighs less than traditional materials, so you don't need a ton of power to drive this woofer. Infinity's Plus One+ woofer technology extends the cone right up to the edge of the basket, giving you more surface area than with most comparable speakers. A bigger cone means more bass to complement the superior high-frequency response.
These 2-ohm speakers are sensitive enough that you can power them with an aftermarket stereo, but you'll get your best results feeding them plenty of power from an outboard amp — up to 75 watts RMS. Grilles are included.

Average Customer Review(s):
Perfect fit in my 2016 Mustang. Better sound than the original speakers by far.
Pros: Great sound and easy install
Sound great, as to the Infinity Kappa's established reputation. I was caught by surprise at the connectors, since Crutchfield recommended a wiring harness that ended in spade connectors. I had to cut those off and crimp on some forked connectors. Either Infinity needs to include spade connectors or Crutchfield needs to correct the wiring harness. Also, the installation instructions required an adaptor mount, to which you're instructed to file a notch so the wires can pass from the face of the inner door to the back of the speaker. I poked a finger through the plastic at the hole the size of my head right next to the lower wire guide and got it to the back of the speaker. Duh.
Pros: Sound great
Cons: Wrong connectors, bad instructions
Great robust sound
Pros: Great sound, wide range
I bought these to replace a blown (actually rusty) Bose door woofer. The low impedance is the primary reason. The speakers don't disappoint.
Loud, clear,a little rub on my door grill from the tweeter but, a real nice sounding speaker.
Pros: Loud,clear, great sound
Very disappointed with this speaker, I swapped out my Bose factory speakers for these. The Infinity's lack bass and mids all together it seems like. The speakers have great highs but thats all they have. Its like listening to music with someone screaming in your ears. They are very loud and have little to no bass. I guess these would be good for classical music fans but not much else. The speakers are very well made and the materials are very nice, but again lack in good overall sound. I heard so many good reviews from people on these speakers I was very disappointed. I have another car with Kicker speakers in them now the Kicker speakers are amazing and much cheaper. I wish I got Kickers instead of these.
Pros: Very loud
Cons: No Bass, No Mid range, just loud
2005 Toyota Tundra with JBL system. I replaced the front door 7 inch midwoofers with these and the rear door 6.5 inch speakers. Had read a lot about the TT JBL stereo and modification issues. Well, if all you want to do is replace the stock stuff, there are no issues with fitment with these speakers. That was a big concern of mine prior to purchase. I did fronts first and liked them so much I did the rears as well. Tremendous difference. You don't need to replace the stock head unit or amp. this is a simple solution for upgrading the old speakers. Only issue is speaker adapter brackets don't mimic the stock brackets. As a result my install was jury rigged but good enough for me.
Pros: Love the speakers. Don't need to replace the head unit or stock amp.
Cons: speaker adapter brackets don't match originals
Speakers are great. But all of the free stuff they give you was useless. The Mounts are crap and the wiring harness did not work
Easy to install and great sound.
Great sound very loud very crisp sound and did not need to send any extra power to achieve wonderful sound
Pros: Easy install, no additional amp required
I bought these to replace the original front door speakers in my 2012 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT. They fit perfectly along with the included door speaker brackets and wiring harness. They sound much better than the original Bose paper speakers. I will be replacing the rear door speakers in the future and I'll buy the Infinity Kappa 62.11i rear door speakers.
Pros: Well made, great sound
always A Great Choice NEVER DISAPOINTED With INFINY Very Loud AND Clear Great Price to
Awesome speakers that pack a lot more depth than my factory speakers.
Awesome speakers, sound great even with the factory radio. Worth every penny. Sound great even at max volume, no distortion.
These speakers were cost friendly, easy to install, and sound amazing with my factory radio. I imagine this is attributed to the low impedance. I can't even imagine what they'd be like with an amp.
Pros: Great bass and sound with factory radio and Very easy to install.
I purchased these to replace the not working factory speakers in my 2007 Silverado. The reviews looked good and I have a set of older Infinity home audio speakers that I love so I to the plunge and paid the big money (for me) to get some really nice sound. I am a musician and part-time sound guy so I get that my standards may be a bit high. That said I was extremely disappointed with the sound quality from these speakers. The Chevy factory speakers sounded better, and only two the four of those actually worked. I give high praises to Crutchfield, I told them I wanted a refund and they did just that with no questions asked. As for the speakers, I wish there was a way to listen to them before buying, I could have saved myself the two lost life hours of installing these. I'm replacing these with replacement OEM factory speakers.
Pros: hmm, can't really think of any...maybe plenty of volume?
Cons: Poor sound quality High price
Look great, sound great
Awesome quality and beautiful sound
Got these to match the specs of my factory system. Sound amazing. The louder I crank it, the better it sounds!
Amazing speakers. i have them installed in a 1989 suburban did some modification to have them in the doors bought i bought 2 sets and they sound amazing great qaulity and sound. best if you run them of a 4 channel amp better control and sound
Pros: Amazing sound, deep bass, very loud and clear with 4 channel amp
Cons: price is high, but worth it if you have the money for a top notch speaker
Highs and Meds are Are off the charts good.... But the lows are ok... But with a good sub it's great.
Pros: Highs and Meds are off the chart good!!!!!
Cons: Low are ok... But with a goo sub its ok
Had to mount these directly to the door . I have a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek and the stock speaker were really bad . I only added the Kappas and I hear a BIG improvement !!
Pros: great sound
Cons: not a direct mount to my SUV some drilling required .
These are great sounding speakers. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they don't fit in the Nissan 300 ZX OEM speaker brackets. The brackets are for replacing the factory Bose speakers. I had to cut the hole larger and drill new screw holes to match the speaker.
Pros: Great sound throughout the range.
Cons: Does not fit 6 1/2" hole unless bottom mount, but cannot bottom mount in 1994 Nissan 300ZX OEM speaker brackets.
I have nothing bad to say about these. Excellent sound. Huge improvement over factory in my 14 Challenger with the SG2 upgrade. The factory speakers seemed to be just there for balance, these are recognizable. Perfect fit.
Pros: Sound, fit, quality
exact replacement for the Infinity speakers in my 2002 Jeep Liberty. 2 ohm speakers are an uncommon impedance and hard to find. I would not have even know if not for Crutchfield getting me the exact replacement. The sound is clear and crisp. better than original. Since the original speakers had individual amplifiers attached, Aaron gave me the information needed to relocate that amp away from the new speaker. They even included the correct mounting adapter for the speaker to fit the door. i have been buying equipment from Cuchfield for many years now, and will continue to do so.
Pros: Exact fit. Clear, clean sound.
These speakers sound crystal clear and the bass is great with an aftermarket head unit. I definitely recommend and will actually be upgrading my other car to these as well!
Pros: Easy installation with the screw type connectors for wiring and it has a really nice quality to them all around. It also fit the panels perfectly where a previous set of Alpines had to be modified and forced to fit factory holes.
Cons: The bass is strong enough to make loose panels rattle so I recommend sound deadening with it.
These were mated to the factory head unit and installed in the front doors on a 2006 Silverado. Due to their efficiency these are excellent speakers to use with a factory stereo, but don't expect jaw dropping performance. At low volume these are just average at best, but as the volume increases their potential becomes more obvious. As many other people have pointed out, these are a definite step up from the factory speakers, but really require more power to show their true potential. I did deaden and seal up the doors, so this added a little bottom end and brought it to the level where I'll probably leave it as is rather than spend more money on an amp.
Pros: Very efficient and a good match to factory stereos.
Cons: Requires a fair amount of volume to sound decent with factory stereo.
Excellent spreaker, great sound. I put them in a 1970 Pontiac Catalina convertible along with some 6x9 Infinity Kappas.
Pros: Excellent speakers
i love these speakers the sound is great worked well with my new stereo and amp. they were easy to install great speakers
After having multiple problems while installing a new system in my 2005 Toyota Tundra I have two major positives I take away from the experience. The biggest is the dealing I've had with Crutchfield technical support. This company cares about their customers like I have never experienced before, they bend over backwards to make you happy. I probably spent over 2 ours on the phone with them (multiple calls) working on the difficulties presented because of the factory JBL in this truck. 5 Stars for Crutchfield technical support! Next is the Infinity Kappa speakers. The sound in the back seat of the truck, where I put these, is fantastic! I am tempted to rip everything, including the factory amp, out of the truck and replace the front speakers with two more of the Infinity Kappa's. The JBL garbage that came in this truck just doesn't play well with anything else.
Beautiful sounding speaker. In my 2015 mazda3 (iSport w/out bose) I was not able to use the metra or Toyota brackets, but the infinity bracket ended up working (for the rear doors) with simple modification. Definitely worth the upgrade from the factory paper speakers. Without an amp I will say that while extremely clear they don't have the same level of bass. Easy enough to fix with an amp, I suppose.
Pros: Clear, great sound.
Fantastic speakers!!!! I got them for all of my door speakers and all I can say is wow!!! I paired them up with my Pioneer AVH-4200NEX. The sound is extremely clear and you'll here things in songs you've never heard before!!!! Add an outboard amp, per Infinity and Crutchfield's recommendation and you will not believe what you've been missing. Super solid construction. Crystal clear sound. Bass that caught me off guard! Extremely easy to install! Positive and negative gold plated screws that tighten extremely easy over your speaker wire. Had the door panels off, speakers mounted, and door panels back on in an hour, working at a steady to slower pace. I have a 2014 mid size car that sounds like I'm at a concert when ever I'm driving.
Pros: Solid construction, crystal clear sound even before the amp, you can twist the tweeters to angle them to you desired listening position!
Cons: I didn't buy these sooner!
Pros: Replaced my factory speakers no problem
I got these from the scratch and dent sale section during an Infinity sale at Crutchfield. I could not find a single defect or missing accessory. The fit was easy and the value is outstanding because of the double whammy Infinity sale+scratch and dent I happened upon. They sound great as expected! Normally Infinity Kappa speakers are a bit out of my price range but whenever I make the stretch I am never disappointed. This time is no different
Pros: sound quality, value/price (via Infinity sale and scratch and dent)
Wow! These are amazing speakers!! Do not listen to anyone saying these lack bass. If you're using a stock car stereo, this may be true since you only have bass and treble controls. I paired these 4 speakers with a Pioneer 6800BS which has a multi band eq and MOSFET power section. The result is full, rich, and incredibly detailed sound. These have a very high sensitivity rating of 95db which allows them to take low wattage very well. An amp is not needed, but if you wanna blow your ears out it will handle a 4x75w rms amp. If you eq these speakers right, and they don't need a lot, you will be astounded. Believe it!! Get rid of your stock radio and you'll get the best results. They're constantly out of stock for these very reasons.
Pros: Extremely well made speakers with great headroom that make any music come alive.
Cons: Don't expect great results from a stock radio.
they sound amazing! They made my stereo come alive! The quality is perfect!
Rich full sound with factory head unit. Plenty of volume with zero distortion, Additional amp not needed. Unbelievable image when Kappa 10.11t's are also installed.
Pros: Included bracket fit much better than Metra bracket supplied by Crutchfield.
Great speakers, fit perfectly and sound amazing
Pros: easy to install, fit perfectly
My opinion to the infinity kappa speakers is that they have an outstanding performance. I replaced the other speakers that my 1994 Chevy Camaro had to the infinity kappa speakers and gave it better bass and sounding to it. This are my second pair of inifinty kappa speakers I bought and I am definitely buying another pair.
Pros: Everything is perfect about this speakers
I bought this to replace my 6.5" rear door speakers in my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Alpine Premium System. I was a bit nervous since the manufacturer website stated they fit but the Crutchfield website stated they didn't. I note that they do fit, though I did have them professionally installed. Sound is fantastic. Much clearer than stock with solid bass.
Pros: - Fit my car - Great sound
Cons: - None
This is the third set of 6.5" Kappa speakers I have purchased from Crutchfield in the past 19 years. Three separate cars and their performance has always out preformed my expectations. The highs and lows are great!
Pros: Clear highs, beefy bass
I'll start off by saying this, you can't go wrong with upgrading. With that being said, I'm glad I invested in these Kappas. When I started this search as far back as last year I was leaning towards Alpines for awhile, after doing more research though, I began gravitating towards other brand names. Of all the brands I researched, I came upon the Infinity Kappas. Since this was my first time ever noticing this brand, I began doing more thorough research which led me to call Crutchfield to make a final determination. That determination led me to purchase the Kappas. I wasn't let down either. The amazing range these have as well as the bass response really cannot be matched with any other brands. I have Buddy to thank for setting me up with these. If your ever in a bind deciding what is best for your vehicle, call and ask to speak to him. In my opinion, he's the best they have.
Pros: Range and bass response. I'm not even sure Alpines could compete with these. Very underrated brand as far as I'm concerned.
Cons: Only problem I encountered was having to adjust the bass response on my head unit. Somehow I overlooked this and probably forget to mention to my advisor what kind of head unit I already had. This can greatly affect how the speakers work so do not underestimate this criteria. I had to do this because without the added boost, I was not getting the desired output from the speakers themselves. After I did this, they sound amazing.
These speakers are dope! Installed in rear door of 2004 MKIV Jetta. Included plastic mounting rings were too large so had to get some more generic ones. The speakers they replaced were already aftermarket, but these are about twice as good. I was concerned they weren't going to have all the consistent, resonant, deep bass a 6 and 3/4 speaker can have... but they do. And this without any amp... very pleased with my purchase, 5 stars.
Pros: Brilliant highs and resonant mids.
Cons: A bit pricey, but I think there's value in every extra dollar you're spending on these.
Installed in my 2013 GMC Sierra Extended Cab Z-71 pickup the sound quality of these speakers are absolutely amazing. I've replaced OEM factory speakers in almost every vehicle I've owned in my lifetime. As I'm 55 years old it's been a bunch of autos. In spending under $140.00 per pair they are the clearest and best sounding speakers I've used to date. I was so impressed I have another pair on order to replace the rear speakers as well. They will be here on Monday and can't wait to complete this sound package. Since they are 2 OHM speakers they sound great on the trucks factory stereo unit and I'll evaluate and possibly add an amp a bit down the road. The bass from these is clear and clean and you can hear all the finer notes of whatever music you are playing. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who wants great sound without breaking the bank.
Pros: Great sound and easy install
Put these in my road glide. Very well made speaker. Nicely boxed, and arrived on time. Sound very good. Can handle a good amount of power. They are a very bright speaker. No complaints
Pros: Quality. Cant be beat for the price
Cons: Not for "Base"
Before installing these speakers in the front and back of my 2010 Equinox, it was the single worst stock sound system I had ever heard, and my audiophile friend agreed with me. After installation it was very crisp and clear, transforming my system. High quality build, feel, and look. Great speakers.
Pros: High Quality build High Quality feel Look Fantastic Crisp and clear sound Great price for the quality
Speakers sound great. Crutch field service is great. Fast delivery
I bought the Infinity Kappa 62.11i to replace the Infinity Kappa 62.9i that I previously had. Love the brand, love the sound. I don't have an amp yet and can't wait to put the power to them. Very happy with the purchase.
Pros: Great sound
Cons: I had to do a small amount of modification to the door with this pair. The previous ones just dropped right in.
really happy with these set of speakers, sound is very clean
Pros: everything fit perfect
Cons: could have had a little better quality seals
I picked these speakers for their sensitivity, since I'm using a factory head-unit, and their pivoting tweeters, since they're in the doors, and I can't complain about the results. The sound is clear and the distortion I was getting from the factory speakers is gone. Of course, having the tweeters aimed at my ears instead of my shins doesn't hurt. You do lose a little bass when you go from midranges to coaxials, but I haven't been disappointed--and that's what subs are for anyway. They sound better to me without the treble boost. However, while they sound good with the factory head-unit alone, they are definitely begging for more power--an amplifier may well be in my future.
Pros: Clear sound, easy installation, good volume--even with the factory head-unit.
Cons: They clearly want an amp.
These are good speakers. Clear separation. Great resolution. No discernible distortion. The door panels rattle before the speakers will give up, I assume as I have yet to hear them distort. They are, however, very "bright," and it has been a struggle to balance them with the rest of the audio bands - to the extent that I may have to return them. Going to give them a little while longer to see if I can learn more about the Kenwood HU, Rockford amp, and JL sub to which they are attached, to see if I can produce a "rounder" sound from them. That is what I'm after. And, yes, the little button on the tweeter is set to 0db. Part of the problem is that the music no longer sounds like the mush produced by the old system (putting it generously), and in a compilation playlist or on random play from the iPod, songs from different artists, different eras in record making, different genres, just different albums from the same artist, there are wide variations in EQ. I'm still learning how to deal with that through the Kenwood. Still, even through all the adjustments I've made to try and smooth out the near-screech of the highs, when I'm driving along, I invariably wish I could turn that part of the spectrum down - like there is just too much treble, like they are really pushing too hard. Turning down the volume does it, but then you lose the song from being too soft. I don't know if I can put up with having to always struggle with it.
Pros: Excellent clarity and decent mid-bass. Seemingly undistort-able.
Cons: Very "bright" to the point of annoyance.
We replace oem front door speakers in our 2000 Chevy Blazer and the difference in sound is amazing! The bass resonates well and the mids and highs are clear. They were easy to install and fit well.
Sound and look amazing
definitely could tell what my vehicle was lacking , great sounding speakers , came with all hardware and screws for multiple mounting applications , easy installation could not be happier , i am already looking for more to go in my other vehicle
Previous owner of the Kappa series, and was not disappointed then, nor now. Wonderful sound quality, without having to be amped. That will come later.
Pros: Clean quality build, delivering rich sound reproduction.
These speakers are shown as not fitting the rear doors of a Tacoma Double Cab (2014)- After receiving these for the front doors, I thought I'd try a fitment check in the rear door before a final mount in the front. Using a rear door mounting bracket (Metra) that was supplied by Crutchfield from a previous order I was able to confirm that these speakers do, in fact, fit in the rear doors with ample clearance. This is without using the Infinity included bracket, it is not needed for the rear (or front) doors. Crutchfield - you should update your site to indicate that these speakers do fit the rear doors in MY 2014 Tacoma Double Cab. Now on to the speakers... super smooth and beautiful balanced sound using a JL amp and Audio Control EQ from the stock Toyota head unit. I'll be ordering these for the rear doors since I confirmed fitment.
Pros: Smooth, balanced sound. Great bass from a 2-way speaker. Silk tweeters are not harsh and bright but smooth yet crisp. They do fit the rear door of Tacoma Double Cab
Cons:Crutchfield response on 5/26/2015 We've sent this helpful feedback to our Vehicle Research team to re-evaluate that speaker location in the 2014 Toyota Tacoma.
I bought these to replace the factory speakers in my 2007 Chevy Tahoe. For some reason, the factory speakers didn't work all the time. Sound quality is much better! Was thinking I needed to purchase an amp to get even better quality, but after getting these speakers installed I was very satisfied. My son likes the sound quality as well and plans to purchase these speakers for his vehicle. May purchase a new radio/amp at a later date for even better sound quality.
Pros: Sound quality, clarity
Cons: None noted at this time.
Bought these to replace factory speakers on a 97 Grand Cherokee. They sound just as good as the factory speakers except they don't pop and crackle when I turn up the volume. Awesome! Maybe I'll replace the factory Infinity amp this summer, and take it to the next level...
Pros: Nice sound. 2 ohm. Bought on sale.
Cons: A little pricey if not on sale
These speakers are a huge upgrade from the factory ( paper ) speakers that came with my 2011 Nissan Pathfinder. The sound is exactly what I was hoping for.
Pros: Nice strong build with easy wire hookups ,,, ( no spade terminal ) They have a set screw system that I prefer
I replaced the stock speakers in the front doors of a 2006 sierra regular cab being powered off an aftermarket Kenwood receiver. They are a huge improvement. They are very efficient, they handle the power the receiver is able to give it quite well. These would handle being powered off an amplifier well, they are tough
Pros: Great midrange sound and enough bass to please yet not "bottoming out" (distorting from overdriving). Very efficient speaker.
Cons: None that I can list. I think for the price, I really can't knock them anywhere.
sound is very good even tho my Jeep picks up a lot of wind and road noise. i ordered the 4x6's for the front today same brand.
I replaced my factory Bose speakers up front on my 2007 Chevrolet 2500HD and WOW! These speakers sound easily twice as good...killer clear highs and mids...surprising bass for a door speaker. Infinity makes a great product!
Pros: Great sound quality and appear to be very well made.
Cons: None as of yet.
This review is similar to the Infinity Kappa 52.11i In terms of sound quality, its great! very clear highs and mids, albeit pretty poor lows, but thats what a subwoofer is for. What I had a huge issue with was the mounting kit provided by Crutchfield! They provided a kit for my 2009 honda civic, but they failed to warn me that I would need to drill holes into the metal frame to properly mount the speakers. With the long screws provided, it needed to penetrate through the metal in order to be secure. In addition, The plastic grill that covers these rear deck speakers wont fit on top anymore...so they're open and bare. Furthermore, the wiring kit they gave me wasn't plug and play either! I had to strip the wires because these kappa speakers don't have a +/- plug you just plug the clips into. They're more old-school and you have to screw in the wires.
Pros: Mids and highs are crisp and clear
Cons: poor lows
Sounds much better than factory speakers but the amp/radio needs to support the 2ohm speakers to get the full potential out of these.
This speakers sound amazing in my silverado
I see a lot of reviews on Infinity speakers talk about getting distortion from them. I had the same problem with mine first with the Reference's and then with the Kapa's. I was getting distortion at around level 22 on my Alpine, which tops out at level 35. after troubleshooting everything with a Crutchfield technician, he thought it might have something to do with the low resistance, 2 ohms. To test this theory I wired 2 of the speakers in series, after that I was able to take the volume much higher before getting distortion. These speakers are louder than most 4 ohm speakers, if you are running 4 of them in your cabin unamplified they will not be overpowered by a ported 12 but if you're running 2 12's you'll want to give them at least 50 watts each. These speakers can be difficult to tune with the rest of your system, that said, I think they were designed to accompany lots of sub.
I have them in the front and back of my 2007 GMC Serria Classic 2500hd crew cab, they sound really good, easy to put in. Just like it says on line some modifies needed ( just need to drill holes in the front door ). The back doors the holes line up from the old speekers!
Pros: The speekers have screws to hold the wires in, (positive and negative) better then the spade. I just cut the ends off the wireless that they give you, strip it back to where you can fold the wire over on it self and I soldered the wires for a better connection.
Other reviews say that the highs are too bright but I solved my case by pressing the little button out. I have 2 pairs installed in a Honda Civic 2007 LX sedan and I couldn't be more happier. I still need to give them some time to break in but for fresh out of box and testing, these sound amazing. They can get loud without distorting and they don't rattle like my previous set did. And no, my car was already sound deadened, I simply swapped out the speakers. My usual genre ranges from Hip-hop to Rap, and Drum&Bass to Trap. I don't even need to adjust the EQ settings to get the sounds I want. Although most people say coaxial speakers aren't the way to go for sound quality (which is fair), these give a very close tone to quality with convenience. I did want quality but compromised a bit for the convenience of a simpler instal, and these were the perfect answer. The tweeters have been turned so they point more toward me and the highs are nice and crisp. Powered by a Kenwood Excelon XR900-5 and the speakers handle perfectly. No regrets at all.
Pros: Loud and powerful when you want them to be Mid-bass is great Mid-range is clear with no distortions. Highs are crisp and not too bright
Cons: It was a little too large to put factory speaker grills back on for rear deck but only a minor inconvenience.
The sounds is excellent. I would not expect less from Infinity speakers. I have had speakers from Infinity in many other vehicles over the past 30 years and they have always been excellent!
Pros: Great speakers
Cons: Took a little effort to fit properly.
These speakers fit both front and back in a Mini Cooper r56 and r57. These speakers are a great improvement over OEM speakers. I would recommend these speakers for someone who listens to spoken work/news, Jazz, classical and rock. If your end goal is punch for music like Hip Hop or Dance music, I'd look elsewhere. Overall quality and construction appears to be pretty good. I am not sure if it's the speakers, amp or deck, but I feel a great improvement in localization of sound and great sense of separate tracks and sound layers. It's hard to explain verbally, but the end result is a gentle (not powerful) immersion of sound.
Pros: Voice and percussion are excellent. You can press a small silver button on the speaker to increase volume (+3db). These speakers seem to enjoy a lot of power.
Cons: Base/low end range is poor. However, if you pair them with a subwoofer (I used a 10" JL audio slim box) the sound is perfect.
Upgraded from Polk Audio speakers that lasted less than 6 months.... These speakers sound great on my Road Glide with a Soundstream PN4.320D. They are efficient enough to sound good at speeds up to 75 mph... Great speakers and they are priced right.
Pros: Excellent sound on motorcycle, great pride, especially with a 2nd pair at half price.
awesome easy to install speakers. sound quality is fantastic.
these speakers are very clear. They don't have the boom/bass I was looking for, but definitely an upgrade from the stock speakers.
Simple, easy install. Great sound even with factory radio. Excellent high's and bass is tight.
Pros: All parts needed for install included: speaker bracket, w/h, foam surround is plus!!
Bought these speakers as a factory replacement item. With the instructions provided installation was simple. I did go to a local retailer and buy some plastic interior/trim tools which helped immensely. The mounts and wiring pigtails provided allowed easy install and no wire cutting. The sound of these speakers compared to stock are really impressive I am using my stock head unit and am thrilled with these speakers. I listen to rock/metal and these speakers are up to the challenge.
Pros: Great sound Compared to stock
Nice speakers. I paired them with an Alpine Amp and they really came alive. They lack deep bass, but thrive in mid bass. The highs are clear at any level.
Pros: Clarity, mid bass
Cons: No deep bass, kinda pricey
Loud very loud but harsh no matter what eq or amp you have first kappas I've ever hated. Shame on you Hartman you put more work into the looks than the sound what a difference to last models not the kappa reputation I know stay far away trust me you will not like if you liked past kappas. I switched to jbl p series same company completely different sound they have a crossover and vented motors a little less loudness but wayyyyyyyyyy cleaner deeper punchier crisper and blended shame on you Harmon get the kappas back to original form.
Cons: No mid bass no punch no clarity no crossover like older models no crispness just terrible all around the board.....
My son and I installed a pair of Infinity Kappa 62.11i in the front doors of his 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Ext. Cab truck to replace the factory speakers. The sound is absolutely excellent just using the stock head unit. Our next phase will be an amp & sub to fill in the low end along with a new head unit. First time to use Crutchfield and I am impressed with the technical part of the site as well as the promptness of the order processing. I will be a customer for life!!
Pros: Great speaker the come with all you need to install it. Excellent sound and well built the way Infinity has always built speakers....quality!!
Great sound, easy to install. I installed with tweeters directed up and disconnected the old original tweeters. There was no information on the best way or any suggestions for effect on sound keeping these connected. Since they could be causing distortion, I disconnected.
Pros: Great sound, easy to install.
I replaced the door speakers in my Camaro, also added a Alpine PDR-F50 amp first, then a couple of weeks later added these Speakers after getting the proper adapters from car speaker adapters.com. The clarity and frequency response of these speakers are awesome. I was willing to purchase a more expensive speaker. But thanks to several Crutchfield sales people who continued to recommend this speaker after I called several times willing to purchase a more expensive speaker. I was looking for clarity and the people at Crutchfield nailed it with this recommendation.
Pros: Very wide frequency response and very clean. I was concerned about bass response after reading some of the reviews. With a nice amp the bass is very tight and deep for a speaker this size, the highs and midrange are so pure with no harshness at all. Great Speaker and very durable also. I dropped one while installing in the door on the garage floor about a 12 inch drop and it did not damage the speaker at all.
I thought I had good speakers until I purchased these bad boys here, i'm hearing things in songs i've never heard can't wait to hook up to my 4 channel amp and rock out with my kappas components too!!
Pros: they fit perfectly in my car, and are very clear
Cons: none so far
This review is about the size of the speaker. It is not a 6.75 inch speaker or ever a 6.5 inch speaker. It is only 6 inches, i repeat 6 inches. Which is contrary to Infinity's specs and Crutchfield's own tech specs. What does measure 6.75 inches is the grill that covers the speaker after mounting. I purchased a 6.75 inch speaker, according to manufacture specs and Crutchfield. When i opened the box the speakers looked small so i put a tape measure to them, only 6 friggin inches is what the speaker measures from edge to edge of the frame. So i measured from the center of a mounting hole to a mounting hole directly across, 6 inches, again. I am not sure if infinity changed sizes somewhere along the lines to cut costs, but please beware that these are only 6 inch speakers. Not a 6.5 inch speaker, or even a 6.75 inch speaker. Only 6 inches.
Cons: Under sized compared to all specs stated by Infinity and Crutchfield. Buyer Beware!Crutchfield response on 3/25/2014 Speaker sizing and fit is based on the frame size and screw hole patterns. The actual speaker has to fit inside of that frame, so they do tend to be smaller than the size category. The Infinity Kappa 62.11i speakers are designed to fit 6-3/4" and 6-1/2" applications, so yes, the actual woofer diameter is less than 6-1/2".
I got these to replace the kickers in my front doors and boy was there an absolute difference! The highs and mids are crystal clear and they're just powered by the receiver! I recommend this pair of greatness to anyone looking to create a bad*ss system. I've been a Crutchfield customer for about 3 years now and I will continue to by my audio products fro them.
I picked these speakers for a specific reason. I own a modified 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee that is used for trail duty, skiing and camping excursions. It has the stock Infinity system in it and although I wanted to replaced the faulty factory head unit and busted speakers, because this truck is not a show truck, I wanted to retain the original Infinity amp, and only upgrade what was broken, to keep a lid on the cost. To do this I needed to find replacement speakers that matched the factory specs of 2/3 ohms, were able to handle 50 or more watts per channel and would fit in a 6.5 inch opening. I paired them with the Kenwood BT755 HD head unit and when I hit the power button I was blown away by the sound quality. The highs are smooth without being abrasive, the mids are crystal clear and the lows are full bodied without being "muddy". These speakers, in my opinion as a musician, are perfectly suited for Jazz. The Kenwood head unit has user customizable EQ settings, several preset EQ settings as well as two loudness settings - making this combo a top notch choice. If you own a Jeep with the stock Infinity system and need to replace the speakers, give these a try and see if you're not as impressed as I am. Of course, I haven't had them in the Jeep for very long so the testimony to how well they hold up is yet to be written here - we'll be sure to follow up if there any concerns or problems. I give these speakers a very big two thumbs up!! Awesome for the Grand Cherokee!!
Pros: Sweet sound reproduction across the sound spectrum. The tweeters have a 3 db tunable button as well if you need to take down the highs a bit. Smooth mids and solid bass for 6 and half inchers. For my application I decided to drill the doors instead of using the supplied brackets just because I wanted to be sure the foam surround cleared the stock door panels - but the brackets would have been plug and play which was nice to see supplied had I needed them. Wires are screw connected - very cool
Cons: The only concern I had when ordering these speakers was that two stereo shops that I visited in my area said the tweeters on the Kappa's were prone to early failure - so as I said above, the long term test jury is still out. I currently have no cons that I have experienced with the Kappas.
Great sound but doesn't fit rear door of my Nissan as advertised by crutchfield. It will fit front door panel. If you are going to try and mount in rear door get ready to cut some metal.
Over all great speaker!
Pros: Really clear sound. Over all great speaker for the price.
Cons: Looking for alittle more bass out of them
Good speakers great sound quality
Pros: Good sound
Cons: Not great when loud
These were recommended to me by the Crutchfield sales person as a replacement for the factory JBL component woofer that blew out on me. The bass that they put out sounds clear and strong. They are constructed very solid for years of expected use.
Pros: Solid construction, clear sound. Simple installation.
Cons: Not even close to the same size as my component woofer. Not as strong of a bass sound as my original, but that could also be do to the fact that I also replaced the factory JBL head unit also.
Amazing sound and clarity without being amplified.
Pros: great sound awesome replacement for any stock system
Cons: none so far
I was listening to infinity reference components in front doors and jbl GTO speakers in rear along with my tried and tested polk mm 1240 sub (the best) powered by jbl GTO 1004 amp. It was a nice sounding system. Then came a difficult decision of my life that is to buy this speakers, because switching from components to coaxel is not a wise decision to take. Bought this speakers and replace my components and 6x9. It gives you a high end audio experience, sounds great, most importantly sound imaging is perfect. Sound quality is awesome, can hear all the details. Highly recommended for those who want great listening experience without complicated installation like components. Amp is must to unleash this beast. Enjoy music
Pros: Sounds great, natural sounding, good sound imaging, build quality, value for money.
Cons: Amp is must
Used these to replace the front door speakers that quit working. Great sound quality, better than factory BOSE speakers. Will be getting a second set for rear doors.
Pros: Easy install. Everything was provided for conversion.
Cons: There was not any step by step directions. You will need a drill to make new holes for the screws.
when compared to the Kicker ks65 speakers that I replaced with the Kappa 62.11i speakers, it was obvious that I had purchased a pair of quality speakers. Sound quality is exceptional, installation a breeze and a fair price earns a five star rating in my book.
I purchased these for my 06 tacoma access cab rear doors. Even though Crutchfield says they don't fit they do if you use a different mount. I made one from 1/2" mdf and their is plenty of room left. They would not even mount to the provided mounts correctly so I did not attempt to use them. I've have been using them for about a month before reviewing them. They are running off a alpine mrp-f300 and paired with myinfinty kappa 6 3/4" components in the front doors. They are very clear sounding even when turned way up. The tweeters are soft and a pleasure to listen to without getting fatigued. Mids and vocals are pretty good but I felt they needed about a one or two boost on the 7 band eq . Bass is good and we'll controlled without being boomy or muddy. They can handle some bass boost on the eq but not so much if you if you really turn it up to their limits. Overall their great and I would buy them again.
Pros: Natural sounding, smooth soft highs and can handle high volumes when used with a amp.
Cons: Not really a 6 3/4" more like a 5 1/2" at the outer edge of the surround.
Replaced Bose speakers in the front doors of my Silverado Crew Cab without any real issues and I'm pleased with the product, the harness needed to convert from Bose, and the tech support. I can't say enough good things about Crutchfield, I've been a customer over 20 years and always get great products, advise, and tech support. Thank you.
Pros: Great sound and easy for me to install.
Cons: Could be an issue for a novice without tools and mechanical ability to install correctly.
Opted for the higher quality speakers & I'm glad I did! These sound AWESOME!!!
Pros: Very high end quality.
Cons: Haven't found any.
Speakers sound great
Great speakers. Big difference from factory. After installing these puppies I had to buy the Kappa 6X9's too.
Pros: Handles highs very good. Great quality for the price.
Cons: Little difficult to get use to the Audio Settings. I had to tweek it a little to get rid of distortion pass 28 on volume. Now I can blast it and it won't even show signs of distortion this think is loud.
Much better sound over stock for the money. Worth it
Pros: Installation was easy. Direction given by Crutchfield was spot on
Great sound, picks up mids and highs with clarity.
Pros: With my factory radio volume maxed out still no distortion.
Cons: Bought them for a 2011 tundra, front door. They don't make them for back doors.
Excellent upgrade over factory speakers.
Pros: Good Price. Excellent recomendation by Crutchfield
High quality at a low price.
Got the speakers a few weeks ago, installed perfectly in my 03 Saturn ion. The sound is way better than the stock speakers. Handles lows pretty well and the highs sound nice and crisp. Definitely would recommend these speakers especially for the price.
Pros: Great sound and directional tweeters.
Bought these speakers and installed them on my 2013 HD Street Glide. I have a 140 watt 2 ohms amp pushing them. I bought a set of 5.25 to 6.5 adapter rings. Huge difference in the sound on my bike. I can finally hear the stereo at 75 MPH. This was a major improvement over my last set up. I run a 2 ohms system and these are the best on the market. Lots of bass and incredible mids and highs. I highly recommend them. They are well worth the money.
Pros: Great sound and quality. Lots of bass
Cons: None that I can find.
I had a busted speaker in my 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe. Made the mistake of going to another retailer to replace speakers with inferior product and service that borders on suable. I'm not a mechanic type person, but I was so fed up I prepared myself to replace the speakers myself. I did research and found Crutchfield and searched compatible speakers. These got great reviews and have lived up to those other good reviews on here. I haven't added anything else like amplifier; I just replaced the bad speakers. These speakers produce a clear, crisp sound and handles the bass really well. These speakers are better than the stock INFINITY speakers that came with the vehicle. Also want to commend buying from Crutchfield. Their service is second to none. I called with a technical issue while installing and they were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I would buy these speakers again, but would definitely suggest any novices installing speakers for the first time to use Crutchfield.
Great sound, awesome punch and clarity. Easy to install.
Pros: Great sound, awesome punch and clarity. Easy to install.
Cons: they sound so good that now I have to buy two more for the back doors.
I bought these hoping to really improve the sound of my stock system. I feel like these work the best with rock music and 80's music, because the mids are flawless and the highs couldn't be clearer, and they aren't overbearing. But i was really hoping for a lot of bass, and i found out that they were lacking. If you get the infinity bass link sub they work in sync perfectly. Overall they deliver great sound for a low price. Highly reccomended.
Pros: Cheap Clear Directional
Cons: Lack bass
I got all four 61/2 for 2012 silverado. Whit the harness and bracket it was easy too do the switch with the stocks speakers
Pros: Great sound
Cons: Stock stereo really don't have the power to really make this speakers sound there best!
Great sound with factory radio. People have bragged on sound without knowing these speakers have been put in.
These speakers were part of "phase one" of building my system in my truck. I also purchased the Kenwood DPX300u head unit. The sales rep cautioned me that with the head unit alone and no amp yet, (phase two), they might not sound the way they should since they wouldn't get all the power they needed. Well, maybe they will sound even better after I add the amp, but I can honestly say these speakers, with the head unit alone, and no other speakers in the truck yet, are UNREAL. Amazing clarity, and such punchy bass I leaves me wondering if I even need "phase two". Absolutely fantastic speakers and worth every penny.
Pros: Amazing clarity, bass. Fills cab with sound.
great sound from these speakers...am able to hear instruments clearly that were missing or muffled in factory speakers that came with car. A great upgrade.
I recently replaced the Original Factory Bose Speakers in My 1987 Nissan 300ZX show car. with Infinity Kappa 62.11I in the front and Infinity Reference 6032SI in rear My 2009 Nissan Altima still has the Factory Bose Speakers in it. When I turned on my music Flash drive today which is the fist time I have played music in the car since the install, I thought somebody had enhanced my music as I was now hearing things in the music that I have never heard before. This was well worth the change and my 2009 may be getting a set of these as well. I am very happy with my purchase.
Pros: Great Sound, Excellent frequency response.
I was thinking i need to stay with a head unit that would retain the use of the factory sub in my 2011 Element. Not so much anymore, these speakers out drive the sub even with the factory head unit. I will be purchasing another set for the rear.
Pros: Great clear well rounded sound. Not overly punchy or tinny.
Cons: These are BIG speakers....Infinity calls them a 6 3/4 speaker. double check your depth and width before committing to cutting.
Upgraded my 2011 Silverado 2500HD door speakers with these and sounds way better over the stock paper speakers. I find that some songs the highs can be pretty harsh but clear with the pillar tweeters working as well.. Other than that I like..
Pros: Good sound
These speakers surpassed my expectations for quality. Crutchfield did not have install instructions for my 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek but I have installed speakers many times before in other cars a few years back and the install went very well. The bass is nice and tight and the highs are very clear.
Great replacement for my stock rear speakers in my 2013 dodge challenger r/t . Crutchfield says that these speakers will not fit, but they do with no problems or modifications, and they even come with the adapters needed for mounting. Hopefully Crutchfield changes their status on these for challenger owners because they sound great!
Pros: great sound
I was very impressed with these speakers, I did not expect the quality music that comes out of these speakers. Very impressed
Pros: Installation and quality
Decent speakers for a good price. Much more bass than the Factory speakers. Clear Mids and Highs
Pros: Quality, ease of installation
Cons: Perhaps a little more Bass would make these awesome
Best replacement speakers I have ever bought, great sound, clear, no distortion, and easy install.
Pros: Clear, Great Bass/Mid's Handling, Easy Install, Great quality made speakers.
Pros: Sleek design with A+ sound quality.
Cons: A little expensive, but you get what you pay for in this situation,
Awesome speaker love infinity.
I replaced the factory door speakers in a 370z base stereo non- Bose system . This first step to replacing the whole system was a fantastic improvement. The factory speakers were garbage!
Pros: Great sound
Pros: Better bass response than stock speakers
I bought two pairs of the Infinity Kappa,s Great product Great name Sound,s great in my chevy silverado ltz (recomend an aftermarket amp.)
Great sound. This is the second set that I have bought. I purchased this set for the rear speakers along with the 60.11 Kappas for the front. The first set was purchased in 2011 for another vehicle. It took some adjusting to get the sound that I wanted but I am pleased with these speakers.
I put these in my 05 Chevy service van and with the factory radio they were 300% better! I then added an alpine head unit with their inline 45w amp and now it sounds like a rock concert!
Sound is much cleaner then factory. No guesswork, Crutchfields " Fits" is great. Will be replacing entire system.
Pros: Fit is perfect
Installed the Kappa's in my BMW 330i in the rear deck. I replace the H K amp also. Excellent sound from these speakers, very special and exact. Now I will put Kappa 60.9's in the front doors and the system will be complete.
Pros: Very strong construction with good mounting screws and adapters. Wonderful two way sound.
Cons: For a BMW 330i rear deck the yare a bit difficult to install, but they are worth the bother.
As a long-time Infinity speaker user, I decided to go with these new 62.11s when they went on sale right when I was replacing the door speakers of my Murano. These .11s seem really well made and very sturdy. It's nice that the cross-overs are incorporated into the structure instead of being apart - like in past Infiniys. As for sound - it seems almost like they have multiple break-in points. On first hooking up, they seem muffled, almost to the point of questioning your wiring? But within 5 minutes playing - become much clearer. Then at around 4-5 hours of playing, they reach another level of clarity and seem ...slighter more powerful. Overall, I'm super pleased - these 62.11s were a huge upgrade over the stock Bose! The quality that I like best, is their accuracy and clarity - definitely a layered and precise speaker.
Pros: Awesome - clear and accurate speakers!
Wow well worth it, bought two sets for my 07 Saturn ion. I put them on a amp, everything my amp can put to them (without going in protection mode electrical issuse on my end) they can handle it with ease nice clear very loud.
Pros: It will be the Pontiac game changer when u put real power to these. If you bought these as OEM replacements they come with everything you would need. If Crutchfield said its a fit it's a fit.
Cons: None, if you put these behind door panels or under rear window decks, do all amp tweaking, tweeter direction adjustments before hiding these behind said panels.
Installed 2 in the front door and two in the rear of my 2013 Acura MDX 2 infinity tweeters and pioneer center speakers and a 10 inch JL subs installed all on where the factory installed speakers . Run them with JL JX 500/1 and a JL D speakers. I can't believe how the infinity kappa's performed. The clarity is just unbelievable and it blends perfectly with my sub and the two tweeters. I purchased everything at Crutchfield with the advice of on of their tech. I couldn't be happier with the way it came. Thanks Crutchfield for the advice.
Pros: Perfect speakers crisp and clear. Clarity is perfect
|Speaker Size||6 1/2|
|Tweeter Design||1" Dome|

Plus One Woofer Cones: The Plus One speaker cones offer more surface area than other speakers that fit in the same size opening. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The result is greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency.
Formed Glass Fiber Woofer Cones: The formed glass fiber cone material is very light and extremely stiff, minimizing flex. This results in very low distortion and improved clarity.
iCGM frames: The Kappa series speaker baskets are made of composite Injected Carbon Glass Matrix (iCGM). iCGM is lighter and stronger than stamped steel; it retains its shape, even when mounted on uneven surfaces (common in car mounting locations), plus offers exceptional damping of any resonances.
Woofer Size: These speakers are marketed as 6-1/2"; they will fit in standard 6-1/2" speaker openings, but do not use the standard 6-1/2" speaker bolt pattern. In order to install them in standard 6-1/2" speaker openings you must drill new screw holes. If new holes are drilled in the mounting surface of the car, no bracket is needed. If drilling in the car is not an option, the included brackets can be used, which have standard 6-1/2" mounting holes and the Ford non-symmetric four hole pattern. When using the brackets the depth becomes 1.878" and the mounting height becomes 1.066".
Edge Driven Dome Tweeters: Each speaker has a 1" Edge-driven textile soft dome tweeter. An edge-driven tweeter has better dispersion characteristics and allows for a lower crossover frequency than typical tweeters of the same size, which improves imaging. The result is improved vocals and musical clarity. The tweeter also has an adjustable output level, +0 dB (flat) and +3 dB.
UniPivot Tweeter: The tweeter is angled and can be rotated about 315° after installation. This allows you to direct the tweeters toward the listeners, very useful for speakers mounted low in a door.
High-Output Design: The high output 2-ohm voice coil design compensates for the high in-line resistance of small gauge factory wiring and extracts every watt from factory receivers, increasing overall system output and efficiency (relative to 4 ohm speakers). The speaker's 2.0-ohm impedance combined with the impedance of your speaker wire provides a true 4-ohm load to your connected headunit or amplifier. The speakers also benefit from increased power when you upgrade the wire and add aftermarket amplifiers, designed to power a 2-ohm load.
Terminals: The input terminals are gold-plated set screws that will accept up to 12 gauge bare wire.
Power Handling: Although Infinity lists the RMS power handling as 75 watts, they also list the recommended power range as 5-125 watts RMS. We've opted to list the more conservative 75 watt RMS figure on the specifications page.

Cur the terminals off, if not needed, and strip the wire ends. Solder or tin them if you wish and insert them. Make sure to work the screw connection. Meaning, tighten it up tightly, then slightly loosen it and tighten it back. It will usually tighten a bit further each time until it flattens out the braid, if you elect not to solder. [ Douglas Oct 08, 2015 ]
I installed these on a 2011 Chevy Silverado. If I remember right I received a connector that mated with my factory harness to the speaker. Hope this helps. [ SHAWN Oct 08, 2015 ]
It sounds like you need to cut the wire ends the strip them. Insert them into the screw connectors and tighten. [ JEFF Oct 08, 2015 ]
You would have to determine which is the positive, which is the negative and cut the wire ends at terminal. Pos/red, Neg/Blk [ FELIPE Oct 08, 2015 ]

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: Awesome set-up! The Infinity Kappa's are some of the most efficient speakers we carry, but they really come to life when you add an amplifier to the system. Expect clean, clear, detailed sound. Also expect this set-up to be capable of playing loud! There are so many variables with tweeters and placement from vehicle to vehicle, but you usually can't go wrong by aiming the tweeters towards your ears. Be sure to try both adjustment settings on the tweeters (0 dB or +3 dB) before reinstalling your door panels - this setting is entirely dependent on personal preference and the acoustics of your truck. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Nov 14, 2014 ] Staff
Sure can, have them connect to my Sony deck I think its 20 watts but it sound sgreat [ FRANK Jan 02, 2014 ]
If the amp is bridgable in stereo ,which would mean it can do a 2 ohm stereo load then the answer would be yes , if your amp will not do 2 ohm stereo then the answer is no. Most amplifiers today are rated for 4 ohm and bridgeable for 2 ohm stereo. [ DONALD Jan 02, 2014 ]
HI Randall, I know they are rated at 2 ohm, and you would have to wire them in series. In effect series wiring add the impedance of the two speakers wired. I think it depends on your amp's capabilities, but I would ask the crutchfield guys they know all about this stuff. hope that helps- they as always per Kappas sound great Mike [ MICHAEL Jan 02, 2014 ]
Hey sorry, they r 2ohm speakers I just looked.only use these speakers if ur amp is 2ohm stable(u should be able to find out easily if it is by looking at it specifications) but most modern amps are. If ur powering with a head unit they should still prob work but make sure if ur playing me long n loud that u make sure the head unit isn't getting too hot as these 2ohm speakers will put more strain on the head units amp [ BRAD Jan 02, 2014 ]
Yeah, I forget exactly. Haven't used these speakers since 2 cars ago, lol. But I think they were 3ohm speakers so yes u could run ur 4ohm ampe without problems, as they are 3ohm they will "pull" a bit more power out of ur 4ohm amp without straining the amp with a 2ohm(or less load)..these speakers were designed to pull alil more power outa of ur 4ohm amp without straining it.so yes use and enjoy, u shouldn't have to turn up the volume as much as u would with the a comparable pair of 4ohm kappas due to the slightly lower impedance. Hope that helped... [ BRAD Jan 02, 2014 ]
I used a 5 channel infinity kappa amp. If you use factor wiring from behind radio to doors. It would make the speakers operate at a 4 ohm load. So I don't see why it wouldn't work [ NATHANIEL K Jan 02, 2014 ]
